The INOVA-E8 is a three-stage air purifier specified for rooms up to 25 m², with a 300 m³/hour maximum airflow claim, an H13 HEPA filter and a substantial 2.4 kg activated-carbon stage. It may suit someone seeking both particle filtration and odour treatment, but its performance figures are manufacturer specifications rather than independently verified whole-room results. INOVA says the E8 was replaced by the INOVA Core Plus from September 2026 and lists the E8 as out of stock, so check availability before treating it as a current purchase option.

These are manufacturer specifications and claims on INOVA’s E8 specifications page and product listing. They do not establish how quickly the purifier clears a particular room under real-world conditions. The specifications page says the HEPA filter was tested by LMS Technologies Inc under EN1822, but the detailed report and method are not available in the cited material.
How the E8’s three filters work
According to the INOVA-E8 user manual, air enters through the sides, passes through the dust pre-filter, then the H13 HEPA filter, and finally the activated-carbon stage before returning to the room.
Pre-filter
The Technostat electrostatic pre-filter catches dust before it reaches the finer filter stages. INOVA recommends checking it about every three months and replacing it when dust buildup is about 2 mm. The manual notes that it may turn grey within the first one to two weeks, which is a reason to inspect it—not a fixed replacement schedule.

H13 HEPA filter
The HEPA stage is intended to capture particles. INOVA lists a 3.8 m² filter surface area and claims 99.95% filtration at 0.3 microns. Those figures describe the manufacturer’s filter claim; they should not be read as a promise that the whole unit will remove that share of particles from an entire room in a particular period.
Activated carbon
The 2.4 kg carbon stage is intended to adsorb chemicals and odours. Its mass is a useful specification when comparing purifiers aimed at odours or gaseous pollutants, but carbon quantity alone does not establish a removal rate or guarantee a result for a specific contaminant.

Room coverage and performance: what the figures do—and don’t—tell you
INOVA recommends the E8 for an area up to 25 m² and lists maximum air delivery of 300 m³/hour. The cited product information does not provide an independent room-clearance test or a directly comparable performance result. Do not treat the area recommendation or airflow figure as proof of a particular cleaning rate in every room.

When comparing it with another purifier, check how each maker defines coverage and whether an airflow or CADR figure was measured using a comparable method. Also consider whether your priority is particle filtration, odour treatment, or both. A large carbon mass and an H13 label describe different parts of the system; neither alone establishes a health outcome.

Noise, power, and day-to-day use
INOVA lists four speeds, power consumption of 10–58 W, and a sound range of 35–60 dBA. The cited specifications do not break out noise or power use by speed, so the maximum ratings are not enough to predict the exact sound or energy use at the setting you would normally choose.
The manual advises placing the purifier in the room where people spend time, leaving airflow around the unit unobstructed, and keeping windows closed while it runs. It recommends using the fastest setting that feels comfortable, since higher speeds move more air but create more noise; it suggests speed 1 as generally suitable for sleeping. These are the manufacturer’s operating guidelines, not a guarantee for every home.

Filter replacement and cleaning

These are manufacturer recommendations, not guaranteed lifetimes. Local dust, chemical and odour loads can shorten filter life, and consumable filter life is excluded from the stated warranty.
- Disconnect the purifier from power before cleaning or changing filters.
- When removing the pre-filter, do it outside where practical or enclose it in a bag to reduce dust release.
- Do not vacuum the pre-filter or HEPA filter; the manual warns this can damage fine fibres.
INOVA lists a dedicated E8 replacement-filter collection. Check that filters are available and compatible with your exact unit before relying on the purifier’s long-term ownership cost.

Availability, price, and warranty
INOVA’s product listing, accessed in 2026, showed an A$875 price but marked the E8 out of stock. It also states that the model was replaced by the INOVA Core Plus from September 2026. Because inventory and price can change, the listed amount should not be treated as a current offer. Confirm stock, the terms applying to any unit offered for sale, and whether the successor fits your needs before buying.
INOVA lists a five-year parts-and-labour warranty for the E8, excluding consumable filter life. The cited material does not establish warranty coverage for a particular used, clearance, or independently resold unit, so check the terms attached to the unit and seller before purchase.
Who should consider the INOVA-E8?
- Potentially a fit: Someone who wants a purifier specified for a room up to 25 m², values both a HEPA stage and a sizable carbon stage, and can verify current unit and filter availability.
