Choose the Infinix GT 50 Pro if you want the higher published gaming-specification ceiling: its listed 6,500mAh battery, Dimensity 8400 platform and UFS 4.1 storage are newer than the GT 30 Pro’s listed hardware. Choose the GT 30 Pro if you value evidence you can verify today: it has an independently reviewed gaming experience, certified 120fps support in PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), a 108MP main camera, and documented India launch prices of ₹24,999 and ₹26,999.
The important qualification is evidence quality. The GT 30 Pro has a detailed independent review, while the GT 50 Pro’s advantage in the available comparison is specification-based. A GT 50 Pro specification sheet does not prove higher sustained frame rates, lower temperatures or better camera output. Confirm the exact regional model, software support, price and warranty before buying.

What changed from GT 30 Pro to GT 50 Pro?
Infinix announced the GT 30 Pro on May 21, 2025, as a gaming-focused phone built around a 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, fast wired and wireless charging, a 108MP camera and official 120fps certifications for MLBB and PUBG Mobile.
Infinix announced the GT 50 Pro on April 24, 2026, positioning it as a gaming flagship focused on cooling and control. The available GT 50 Pro-versus-GT 30 Pro database comparison lists the newer phone with a Dimensity 8400, 6,500mAh battery, 50MP main camera and UFS 4.1 storage. The GT 30 Pro is listed with a Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, 5,500mAh battery, 108MP camera and UFS 4.0.

Those are meaningful changes, but they are not the same as measured performance changes. No comparable independent GT 50 Pro review or long-session benchmark is established here. Treat its hardware lead as a reason to investigate, not as proof that every game runs faster or that the phone stays cooler.
Gaming performance and sustained thermals
GT 30 Pro: the tested gaming story
Android Central found that most games ran without problems on the GT 30 Pro. During extended sessions, the review reported that the phone did not overheat or throttle easily. PUBG Mobile could use a 120fps mode, matching Infinix’s certification claim. This is the strongest evidence in the comparison because it combines a published feature with hands-on use.
The GT 30 Pro’s gaming hardware is not just its chipset. Infinix documents a 3D VCC cooling system, ultrasonic shoulder triggers, Bypass Charging 2.0 and optional active cooling through the MagCharge Cooler and magnetic case. Bypass charging can route power toward the phone while reducing the amount used to charge the battery during play; the precise behavior depends on the game, charger and software mode.

Those are manufacturer claims; the independent review supports a generally smooth experience but should not be read as validation of every stated condition.

GT 50 Pro: a higher ceiling, not a confirmed lead
The GT 50 Pro is the more ambitious gaming design on paper. A listed Dimensity 8400 should give it a newer performance platform than the GT 30 Pro’s Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, and UFS 4.1 is a newer storage listing than UFS 4.0. Infinix’s launch message centers on cooling and control, suggesting that sustained play is a primary design goal.
What is not established is equally important: the available sources do not provide a repeatable GT 50 Pro thermal test, frame-rate graph, throttling result, supported-game list or independent battery drain measurement. You cannot responsibly convert the chipset name into a guaranteed 120fps mode in a particular game. Game support is controlled by the game developer, device profile and software version.
Which phone should a competitive player buy?
- Pick the GT 30 Pro when you want a documented 120fps PUBG Mobile path, physical gaming controls and a review that tested extended play.
- Pick the GT 50 Pro when the local version really includes the listed Dimensity 8400 and you are willing to prioritize newer hardware over independently measured results.
- For tournaments or ranked play, verify the exact game’s frame-rate menu after setup. A 144Hz screen or a powerful chipset does not automatically unlock 120fps in every title.
- If you play while charging, compare the included charging modes and confirm whether bypass charging or an active cooler is available in your region.
Display, touch and physical controls
GT 30 Pro display
The GT 30 Pro has a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh-rate claim from Infinix. A high refresh rate can make scrolling and supported games look smoother, while AMOLED provides the contrast and deep blacks expected from the technology. Actual game frame rate still depends on the title and its device profile.
Recommended Free Tools
The phone’s ultrasonic triggers are designed for games that benefit from mapped shoulder inputs. They can reduce the need to move a thumb to an on-screen button, but trigger placement and software mapping matter more than the label. Configure them in the GT gaming interface and test accidental presses before using them in a competitive match.

GT 50 Pro display and control information
The supplied specifications do not establish the GT 50 Pro’s screen resolution, refresh rate, touch-sampling rate or trigger implementation. Infinix’s announcement emphasizes cooling and control, but that wording is not a substitute for a complete regional specification sheet. Ask the seller for the exact display and trigger details rather than assuming they match or exceed the GT 30 Pro.
Battery capacity, charging and endurance
Capacity comparison
91mobiles’ 2026 comparison database lists a 6,500mAh battery for the GT 50 Pro and 5,500mAh for the GT 30 Pro. If both figures apply to the versions sold in your country, the GT 50 Pro has an 18.2% larger nominal capacity. Battery size is not a runtime guarantee: chipset efficiency, display settings, signal strength, game frame rate and temperature all change consumption.
Android Central described the GT 30 Pro as lasting a day in ordinary use. That is a review observation, not a laboratory endurance score, and heavy gaming will shorten it. Infinix also specifies wired and wireless fast charging for the GT 30 Pro. The available GT 50 Pro evidence does not provide comparable charging wattages or an independently measured runtime.

What the larger GT 50 Pro battery means in practice
A 6,500mAh listing should be attractive to players who spend long periods away from a charger, especially if the regional model retains the same efficiency and charging controls described at launch. It does not prove that the GT 50 Pro will last a fixed number of hours, nor that it will charge faster than the GT 30 Pro. Check the charger included in the box, supported charging standards and replacement-charger cost locally.

Charging while gaming
On the GT 30 Pro, Bypass Charging 2.0 is intended to reduce battery charging stress while you play, and Infinix describes optimized wireless charging with active cooling. Wireless charging can add heat and may not be ideal for maximum sustained performance; use the phone’s temperature and charging indicators as your guide. The optional MagCharge Cooler and magnetic case add cost and bulk, so include them in the total gaming setup rather than treating them as free features.
Everyday use: camera, software and protection
Camera hardware
The GT 30 Pro has a 108MP main camera, while the comparison database lists a 50MP main camera for the GT 50 Pro. The GT 30 Pro therefore wins the resolution comparison, but megapixels alone do not determine dynamic range, autofocus, night performance, skin tones or video quality. Sensor size, lens design, image processing and software updates can outweigh the pixel count.
Android Central found the GT 30 Pro’s daylight camera output good for its class. No equivalent independent GT 50 Pro camera assessment is established here, so do not assume the 50MP camera is better or worse solely from the number. If photography is central to your purchase, inspect sample images from the exact regional firmware and test moving subjects, indoor scenes and night shots during the return period.
Software support and bugs
The GT 30 Pro review described daily operation as smooth but noted bugs and only two software updates. That limited update commitment affects how long the phone remains attractive as an everyday device, even if its gaming performance is adequate. The available GT 50 Pro material does not establish a definitive software-update promise. Confirm the number of Android-version upgrades, security-update period and update schedule in writing for your market.

Ingress protection and handling
Android Central recorded IP64 protection for the GT 30 Pro. That rating is useful against dust and water splashes under the stated test conditions, but it is not permission to submerge the phone or use it in rain without care. An equivalent GT 50 Pro rating is not established in the supplied information. A case, cooler and trigger-focused gaming grip can improve control while making the phone heavier and less pocket-friendly.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Storage, memory and regional configurations
The documented GT 30 Pro India prices cover 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations. The database comparison lists UFS 4.0 for this model and UFS 4.1 for the GT 50 Pro, but it does not establish every RAM and storage combination sold in every country.
Do not compare a low GT 50 Pro headline price with a GT 30 Pro price unless the RAM, storage, charger, warranty and included accessories match. A gaming phone with a cooler or magnetic case can cost more than the handset alone. Confirm whether storage is fixed, whether the charger is included and whether the seller provides a local warranty.

How to calculate real value
- Write down the exact regional model number and RAM/storage configuration.
- Compare handset prices in the same currency and on the same date.
- Add the price of a required charger, magnetic case or MagCharge Cooler if those are not included.
- Check warranty length, authorized service availability and return terms.
- Give extra weight to verified game support if a particular frame rate is essential to you; do not pay for a theoretical chipset advantage alone.
Is the GT 50 Pro worth upgrading from the GT 30 Pro?
Upgrade when these conditions apply
- Your GT 30 Pro battery no longer lasts through your normal day and the local GT 50 Pro version genuinely has the listed 6,500mAh capacity.
- You want newer platform and storage specifications and accept that independent GT 50 Pro testing is limited.
- Your current games are constrained by performance or storage speed rather than by game-side frame-rate caps.
- The trade-in value and local warranty make the price difference reasonable after accessories are included.
Keep the GT 30 Pro when these conditions apply
- Your priority is PUBG Mobile at a verified 120fps setting, and your phone already delivers it reliably.
- You use the 108MP camera and are satisfied with the daylight results.
- You rely on wireless charging, Bypass Charging 2.0, the ultrasonic triggers or the available cooling accessories.
- The GT 50 Pro’s local price is substantially higher, or its regional specifications differ from the database listing.
- You expect long software support and the GT 50 Pro seller cannot document its update policy.
Buying checklist for either model
- Verify the model: Match the model number, battery capacity, chipset, camera and UFS version on the box or official regional listing.
- Check game support: Install your main game and inspect available frame-rate options before removing return protections.
- Test sustained play: Run a 30- to 60-minute session while monitoring frame-rate stability, surface temperature and battery loss.
- Test controls: Map the triggers, check touch response and make sure the case does not interfere with them.
- Test cameras: Take daylight, indoor and night photographs, plus video, using the firmware supplied in your region.
- Confirm updates: Save the seller’s written Android-version and security-update commitment.
- Price the ecosystem: Include the charger, case, cooler, shipping, taxes and warranty service in your comparison.
Final recommendation
For a buyer choosing strictly on published hardware, the GT 50 Pro is the more compelling gaming proposition: its listed Dimensity 8400, UFS 4.1 and 6,500mAh battery point to a higher ceiling than the GT 30 Pro. That conclusion remains provisional until independent tests show how it handles long sessions, heat and game-specific frame rates.
For a buyer who wants the most defensible recommendation today, the GT 30 Pro is safer. It has a 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, documented 120fps PUBG Mobile and MLBB support, physical gaming controls, a 108MP main camera, IP64 protection and a review showing smooth daily use and sustained gaming without easy overheating or throttling. Its two-update policy and occasional bugs are real drawbacks, but they are known drawbacks rather than unknowns.
