For a general off-field Ineffa build, use Fractured Halo when you have it, a four-piece Aubade of Morningstar and Moon set, ATK% sands, ATK% goblet, and a CRIT circlet. Prioritize her Elemental Skill, then Burst, and tune Energy Recharge to the team’s rotation rather than chasing a universal target. Prospector’s Shovel is the practical free-to-play weapon route cited by current guides. This setup treats Ineffa as off-field Electro damage with a shield and team buff; reaction teams, Lunar-Charged teams, and accounts that need every-rotation Bursts may change the ranking.
Recommended Ineffa build at a glance
| Slot | General recommendation | When to change it |
|---|---|---|
| Role | Off-field Electro damage, shield support, and team buff | Keep her on field only if a specific team rotation requires it; her usual value comes from leaving Birgitta active while another character attacks |
| Weapon | Fractured Halo | Use Prospector’s Shovel for a free-to-play route, or compare owned polearms by refinement and team needs |
| Artifacts | Four-piece Aubade of Morningstar and Moon | Use Silken Moon’s Serenade when its team effect is needed and another teammate is not already carrying it; use two-piece ATK or EM combinations while farming |
| Sands | ATK% | EM can be considered when Ineffa consistently triggers reactions such as Hyperbloom |
| Goblet | ATK% | EM has a role in reaction-focused teams, but ATK is the default for mixed damage, shield strength, and buff scaling |
| Circlet | CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG | Choose the side of the CRIT ratio your substats lack |
| Substats | CRIT, ATK%, EM, then the ER needed by the rotation | Raise ER when the Burst must be ready every rotation |
| Talents | Elemental Skill first, Elemental Burst second | Normal Attack investment is low priority for the standard off-field playstyle |
This is a starting framework, not a claim that one loadout wins in every account. The consulted pages are community guides: Genshin Builds Team labels its material “Version 6.7 / Luna VIII,” Prydwen lists an update of September 12, 2026, and Icy Veins lists an August 1, 2026 update with a version 7.0 update. Those labels describe the guides, not official HoYoverse confirmation of a game version.
What Ineffa does and why ATK is the default
Ineffa’s usual assignment is to cast her Skill, create her shield, summon Birgitta, and then leave the field. Birgitta supplies off-field Electro application and damage while the active character performs the team’s main attacks. Her Burst deals area Electro damage and can summon Birgitta again or reset the summon’s duration when Birgitta is already present, depending on the situation described by the guides.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →The build leans toward ATK because several parts of the kit use it at once. ATK increases Ineffa’s own damage, strengthens the ATK-scaling shield produced by her Skill, and contributes to the Elemental Mastery buff supplied by her Burst. A single ATK% main stat therefore supports personal output and utility instead of helping only one number on the character sheet.

The guides also describe Ineffa as converting Electro-Charged into Lunar-Charged while she is in the party. That interaction makes her especially relevant to teams built around Lunar-Charged damage, but it does not make Fractured Halo or an EM-heavy setup automatically correct for every composition. Check who owns the reactions and how often Ineffa is actually triggering them.
Which weapon should you use?
Fractured Halo: strongest listed signature option
Fractured Halo is the leading weapon in both the Prydwen and Icy Veins recommendations. The guides emphasize its ATK and CRIT value and its teamwide Lunar-Charged damage benefit. That team effect matters most when other party members also deal Lunar-Charged damage; in a team where Ineffa is the only meaningful contributor, the advantage is more concentrated in her personal damage and general stat package.
Do not read the weapon’s placement as a universal damage guarantee. Its value changes with the rest of the party, the number of Lunar-Charged damage dealers, the amount of CRIT already supplied by artifacts, and whether the rotation allows Ineffa to use her Burst on schedule.
Prospector’s Shovel: the free-to-play path
Prydwen identifies Prospector’s Shovel as Ineffa’s best free-to-play option, and Icy Veins describes it as obtainable from the blacksmith. That makes it the first weapon to investigate if Fractured Halo is unavailable and you want a route that does not depend on a limited signature banner.
“Best free-to-play” does not mean it must replace every higher-refinement polearm already on your account. Compare the weapon’s level, refinement, secondary stat, and passive with the alternatives you actually own. A well-leveled polearm that fits your rotation can be more useful than an unbuilt option that looks higher on a tier list.
Other polearms and guide-ranking differences
The sources do not agree on one fixed order below the signature weapon. Prydwen places Staff of the Scarlet Sands immediately behind Fractured Halo and calls Prospector’s Shovel the best F2P choice, while Genshin Builds Team includes a different selection and notes that refinements, target count, and Moonsign assumptions can change results.

For context, Prydwen’s displayed calculation gives Fractured Halo at 116% team DPS relative to its reference and Staff of the Scarlet Sands at 105% at refinement rank 1. Those are that guide’s modeled values under its stated assumptions, not an in-game rating or a universal benchmark. The same guide notes a stack assumption for Staff of the Scarlet Sands, so do not transfer the percentage to a different team without checking whether the stacks are realistic.

Best artifact set and practical alternatives
Four-piece Aubade of Morningstar and Moon
Farm four pieces of Aubade of Morningstar and Moon for a general off-field damage build. Genshin Builds Team ranks it first among the sets it evaluates, ahead of Gilded Dreams and other alternatives, and Prydwen also places it first for Ineffa. This is the cleanest choice when you want Ineffa to contribute damage while still providing her shield and buff.
Set quality still matters more than forcing a poor four-piece combination. A temporary two-piece ATK or two-piece EM pairing with strong CRIT and ATK substats can outperform an incomplete or badly rolled four-piece set while you farm. Replace pieces when the complete set gives a meaningful improvement, not merely because the icon changed.
Silken Moon’s Serenade as a team-dependent option
Silken Moon’s Serenade is conditional rather than a universal replacement. Prydwen presents it as an alternative when its effect benefits the team and another character is not already using it. If a teammate can hold the set without losing more personal damage than Ineffa would, keep Aubade on Ineffa; if the team needs Silken Moon’s effect and has no better holder, moving it to Ineffa can be sensible.
When Gilded Dreams or mixed sets make sense
Gilded Dreams appears among the alternatives in Genshin Builds Team’s comparison. It can be a useful interim or reaction-oriented choice, but the guide’s ranking still places Aubade ahead for general personal damage. Two-piece ATK/ATK, ATK/EM, or EM/EM combinations are practical transitional sets when they solve a stat shortage and you do not yet have four usable Aubade pieces.

Main stats, substats, and Energy Recharge
Default main-stat arrangement
Start with ATK% sands, ATK% goblet, and a CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG circlet. Select the circlet that moves your overall CRIT ratio toward balance; a CRIT Rate circlet is often the easier fix when your substats contain mostly CRIT DMG, while the reverse is true when Rate is already abundant.
ATK% is the default goblet even though Ineffa deals Electro damage because the guides value ATK across her damage, shield, and ATK-derived Burst buff. This recommendation describes the general off-field build, not a rule that forbids an EM goblet in a reaction team.
Substat order
For ordinary damage-focused builds, Genshin Builds Team gives the order CRIT, ATK%, EM, then ER. Icy Veins similarly places ER at the amount required by the team, followed by CRIT, ATK%, and EM. In practice, treat that as a priority framework rather than a rigid sorting algorithm: a useful ER breakpoint can be worth more than a small CRIT upgrade if it changes whether Burst is available when the rotation calls for it.
- CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG improve the consistency and size of Skill, Burst, and Birgitta damage.
- ATK% supports damage, shield strength, and the ATK-based Elemental Mastery buff from Burst.
- EM gains value when Ineffa herself owns reactions, including Hyperbloom in teams where her Electro application is the trigger.
- ER is a rotation requirement, not a stat to maximize automatically.
How to decide Energy Recharge
There is no defensible universal ER number for Ineffa from the consulted guides. Genshin Builds Team says teams that use her Burst every other rotation can ignore ER, while forcing every-rotation Burst can cost personal damage. Icy Veins gives the same general warning and bases its sample every-rotation recommendation on having a second Electro unit.

Decide in the team you actually play. If the Burst is intentionally used every other rotation, accept the longer cycle and invest in CRIT and ATK instead. If the Burst supplies a required buff every rotation, add ER until the energy arrives on time, then stop adding it when additional ER no longer changes the rotation. A second Electro character, enemy energy drops, funneling, and the number of Skill casts all alter the result.

Talent priority and leveling plan
Elemental Skill first
Level the Elemental Skill before the Burst. It controls the shield and Birgitta summon that define Ineffa’s off-field contribution, so Skill levels affect both survivability support and the damage that continues after you switch characters.
Elemental Burst second
Raise the Burst after the Skill. It adds area Electro damage, can restore or refresh Birgitta’s presence according to the guide descriptions, and supplies the ATK-based Elemental Mastery buff. Its value rises in rotations that can keep it available at the intended frequency.
Normal Attack last
Normal Attacks are low priority for the usual off-field role. Leave them for later or skip them until Skill and Burst are developed. Only invest heavily if you have deliberately built a field-time playstyle that repeatedly uses Ineffa’s Normal Attacks, which is outside the standard recommendation described by these guides.

A practical off-field rotation
- Bring Ineffa onto the field and cast her Elemental Skill so the shield and Birgitta are active.
- Use Elemental Burst when the team’s energy plan calls for it. Cast it early enough that its buff and any Birgitta reset fit the remaining field time of the damage dealer.
- Switch to the team’s on-field character. Birgitta continues applying Electro and dealing damage while Ineffa remains off field.
- Maintain the team’s normal reaction setup and refresh Ineffa’s Skill or Burst according to the summon duration, shield timing, and energy available.
The guides describe a long summon duration, but the correct order inside a real team depends on who must apply Hydro, Dendro, or another element first and on whether the active character needs the Burst buff immediately. Test the sequence against the team’s actual cooldowns rather than copying a fixed second-by-second script.

| Priority | Build emphasis | Adjustment |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum general personal damage | Aubade of Morningstar and Moon, ATK%/ATK%/CRIT, strong CRIT and ATK% substats | Use Fractured Halo if available; keep ER only high enough for the chosen rotation |
| Lunar-Charged team support | Fractured Halo’s team effect plus reliable Burst timing | Value team Lunar-Charged damage more highly than a small personal-stat gain from another polearm |
| Free-to-play account | Prospector’s Shovel and the best usable artifact pieces | Compare owned refinements before spending resources on a new weapon |
| Hyperbloom or reaction ownership | ATK remains the baseline, with EM added when Ineffa triggers reactions regularly | Consider EM on a main-stat slot only after confirming she, rather than another character, owns enough reactions to benefit |
| Every-rotation Burst utility | Enough ER to meet the team’s energy cycle | Expect some personal-damage trade-off; a second Electro teammate can make the requirement easier |
| Every-other-rotation Burst | CRIT, ATK%, and damage-focused artifacts | Follow the guides’ lower-ER approach instead of forcing an expensive ER target |
Farming and upgrade checklist
- Secure a usable polearm first. If you lack Fractured Halo, check whether Prospector’s Shovel is available to you through the blacksmith as described by Icy Veins.
- Equip any functional ATK%/ATK%/CRIT combination while farming Aubade of Morningstar and Moon.
- Replace temporary pieces one at a time; preserve a balanced CRIT ratio and enough ER for the chosen cycle.
- Level the Skill before the Burst, then stop Normal Attack investment unless your playstyle specifically needs it.
- Test the shield, Birgitta uptime, and Burst availability in the complete team, not in isolation.
- Re-evaluate the weapon and artifact choice after changing teammates, because Lunar-Charged participation, reaction ownership, and set ownership can all change the comparison.

Building EM on every Ineffa
EM is not a universal replacement for ATK. It becomes more attractive when Ineffa triggers reactions herself. In a mixed off-field build where her main contributions are direct damage, shield, and ATK-derived buffing, ATK% remains the safer default.
Chasing an arbitrary ER breakpoint
Every-rotation and every-other-rotation plans have different costs. If your team intentionally skips a Burst cycle, excess ER displaces CRIT or ATK. If the Burst is part of the team’s required buff sequence, insufficient ER causes missed casts; add only enough to make that sequence reliable.
