No. In Pokémon GO, Incense affects only the Trainer who activates it. To create an attraction effect for nearby friends, use a Lure Module at a PokéStop instead.
Who benefits from Incense?
Incense is a personal item: nearby Trainers do not receive the same Incense effect. Niantic states that Incense affects only the Trainer who uses it in its item-effects guide. That is the practical rule to use when playing with a group; the official description does not specify the underlying technical details of how Pokémon spawns or visibility are handled.

How can nearby friends share an attraction effect?
Use a Lure Module at a PokéStop. A Lure benefits the Trainer who installs it and other nearby Trainers, unlike Incense. Niantic says a Lure normally lasts 30 minutes, though its duration can change. See the Lure Modules help page for details.

How long do different Incense types last?
| Item or effect | Who it affects | Duration and conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Incense | The Trainer who uses it | Usually 60 minutes; special events can change the duration. Niantic’s Incense help page describes the standard effect. |
| Daily Adventure Incense | The Trainer who uses it | 15 minutes; the user must move in the real world to attract unexpected wild Pokémon, according to Niantic’s Daily Adventure Incense page. |
| Coin Bag | The Trainer who uses it | 30 minutes; it attracts the Coin Chest Pokémon and works best while moving, as described on Niantic’s Incense help page. |
| Lure Module | The user and other nearby Trainers | Normally 30 minutes; event conditions can change the duration. See Niantic’s Lure Modules help page. |
Can an event change which Pokémon Incense attracts?
Yes. Events can alter Incense duration or the Pokémon it attracts. If Incense changes color, Niantic says that indicates an event-specific attraction; check the Today View for active event details. The relevant guidance appears in What are Incense?, Why did my Incense change color? and Finding & Catching Wild Pokémon.
