What does “turned off friction” mean in the video?
The available PC Gamer listing does not explain whether “friction” refers to a literal physics setting, a mod, or a humorous description. It also provides no transcript or creator documentation. Without that direct information, it is not possible to identify the change or describe its effects accurately.

For the same reason, there is no verified mod list, tool list, installation procedure, or demonstrated result to report. The title alone does not establish that the creator performed a complete GTA VI conversion.

Can you mod GTA V into GTA VI?
Not in the literal sense established by the available evidence. Rockstar identifies GTA V’s setting as Los Santos and the surrounding hills, countryside, and beaches. Its GTA VI material describes modern-day Vice City and the state of Leonida. Those are distinct settings.
A modification could make selected parts of GTA V feel or look more like GTA VI. But calling that a conversion would require specific evidence about what the mod changes and how much of the experience it replaces. The video listing does not provide that evidence, so it is safest to treat “modding GTA 5 into GTA 6” as a title or creative framing.

Rockstar’s November 6, 2025 announcement says, “Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026.” Its support page, last updated August 18, 2026, lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar’s PC upgrade announcement names two editions: GTAV Enhanced and GTAV Legacy. Rockstar said the upgrade would be free to existing PC owners and that Legacy would continue to be supported. That announcement does not establish whether a particular third-party mod works with either edition, so edition compatibility must be checked in the mod’s own documentation. What to check before attempting a GTA V mod
The video listing does not provide enough detail to recommend a specific mod or setup. If you find a mod independently, verify these points in its own instructions before installing it:
- Game edition: Confirm whether it supports GTAV Enhanced, GTAV Legacy, or both.
- Scope of changes: Establish whether it changes visuals, gameplay, the map, or another element; do not assume it recreates GTA VI.
- Requirements: Follow the mod author’s stated prerequisites and installation steps rather than inferring them from the video title.
