A lumber farm can make retail World of Warcraft gold-making feel different, but the available evidence does not establish the route, earnings, or yield behind the stream suggested by this title. One player reported gathering 105 pieces of Darkpine Lumber in two hours in Midnight; that is a dated personal test, not a dependable farming rate or proof of profit. Tangia is a streaming interaction platform, but its documented features do not show what redemptions appeared in this particular stream or that they triggered in-game actions.
What the lumber-farm story does—and does not—establish
The title frames a creator’s personal turn: nearly giving up retail gold-making, then finding a lumber farm and adding Tangia redemptions. The creator, stream, farming route, earnings, and redemption effects are not identified in the available sources. Treat the premise as a personal story, not a verified guide to a repeatable farm.
“WoW Forever” can also refer to a separate WoW: Forever beta mentioned in contemporaneous material. There is no evidence connecting that distinct subject to the retail WoW lumber stream, so the two should not be conflated.

Players in a Blizzard-hosted discussion connect lumber with housing decor and profession recipes. That establishes the kinds of uses discussed by community members, not a complete or current recipe list. The same discussion includes reports of low perceived yields, hard-to-see gathering points, and the time required to collect lumber; these are player observations rather than representative drop-rate data.

How long does it take to gather lumber?
In a December 6, 2025 forum post, player BadBoyBrian reported collecting 105 pieces of Darkpine Lumber in 120 minutes during a Midnight gathering test. That is one player’s observation, not an official rate, controlled benchmark, or promise of what another character will gather.
The same player separately reported collecting 250 Timber in 17 minutes in Warlords of Draenor. That concerns a different system and resource, so it is not a valid head-to-head comparison with Midnight lumber.

Community reports also describe friction from locating gathering points and low perceived yields. Those factors can make an individual session feel slower, but the discussion does not establish how often they affect players or quantify their impact.

Does gathering lumber make gold?
A gathering total does not show whether the activity is profitable. The available reports do not provide current sale prices, demand, an established route, the time spent traveling or searching, or the value of materials used in recipes. They therefore cannot support a gold-per-hour estimate or a claim that lumber is a better option than another activity.

A secondary guide lists gathering professions, Auction House sales, crafting orders, dungeons, and housing decor among possible gold-making routes. These are options to evaluate against current game and market conditions, not guaranteed income. To assess lumber for your character, compare a consistent time window and include the full session cost:
- Record the resource gathered and the time spent traveling, searching, and collecting.
- Check whether you have the profession or housing access needed for the relevant use.
- Verify current saleability, prices, and crafting demand rather than assuming a gathered item will sell.
- Compare the result with another activity using the same character and time window; account for the value of what you gave up doing.
What are Tangia redemptions?
Tangia describes streaming features that include text-to-speech, viewer interactions, alerts, media sharing, and browser-source support for streaming software. Its terms discuss streamers, viewers, interactions, interactive digital goods, and payouts. Those general platform descriptions explain what Tangia can support; they do not identify the redemption menu or setup used in the stream behind this title.

Without the stream footage or creator confirmation, it is not possible to say whether a redemption triggered an overlay, speech, a streamer action, or an in-game event, or what it cost. Tangia’s general feature descriptions do not establish a direct integration with WoW gameplay.
