Runner abilities in Huss Valley are reported to help players escape, misdirect, or survive a Chaser; Chaser abilities are meant to close distance, extend attack reach, or interrupt a Runner. A Beebom guide published October 12, 2026 lists five abilities for each role, including one free/default ability per side. Its prices and catalog differ from earlier guides, so treat the figures below as reported values and verify the live shop before spending Gems or Robux.
How Runner and Chaser abilities fit the match
A Huss Valley guide describes the game as a Roblox chase match: Runners cross an arena while a Chaser tries to catch them. That guide reports that Runners need three successful crossings and that caught players may join the Chaser side in later rounds. These match rules come from secondary guide reporting, not an official game page retrieved for this comparison, so they should be understood as reported mechanics rather than independently confirmed rules.
The two ability sets serve opposite tactical jobs. Runner tools can create distance, obscure or misdirect pursuit, or protect against a hit. Chaser tools can help cover ground, reach a Runner, restrict a route, or interrupt movement. Those are functional categories, not proof that one ability or role is objectively stronger. The guides describe effects and prices; they do not provide controlled comparisons, measured win rates, or evidence that a particular loadout improves a player’s chance of winning.

The October 12, 2026 Beebom guide reports the following five Runner abilities and shop values. Prices are guide-reported rather than confirmed live-shop prices.

Choosing among Runner effects
Use the reported effect—not an unsupported “best ability” ranking—to decide what problem a slot should address. Cloak and Inflatable Decoy are the visual deception options, but their limits differ: Cloak lasts 3 seconds and does not stop hits, while the Decoy travels straight ahead for 7 seconds and disappears when caught. Pocket Door changes the space in front of the Runner for 6 seconds. Emergency Airhorn targets nearby Chasers with knockback. One Hit Shield is the only reported free/default choice and has a very short 0.75-second block window.
These descriptions leave practical details unanswered. The sources do not establish the activation controls, cooldowns, hitboxes, exact targeting range for most Runner abilities, or whether effects behave differently across maps or game versions. Do not infer, for example, that the Airhorn affects every Chaser anywhere in the arena: “nearby” is the limit stated in the October 12 guide.

Chaser abilities: reported effects and prices
The same Beebom guide lists these five Chaser abilities. The descriptions indicate different ways to pursue or disrupt Runners rather than a single common attack type.

Choosing among Chaser effects
For mobility, Rocket Shoes are the listed dash; for extending a hit, Big Dagger is the stated melee-reach option. Rufus’s Leash offers a ranged throw that can pull a hit Runner closer, while Bowling Ball and Bear Trap are described as interruption or route-control tools. The distinction matters: Big Dagger’s stated reach bonus applies to the next melee hit and expires after 5 seconds, whereas the Leash has separately reported maximum throw and pull distances. Bear Trap is the free/default ability, but its reported effect is a half-second stick, not a long hold.

Think of the listed durations and distances as boundaries for a decision, not as a ranking. The guide does not report a cooldown, reliability rate, exact hitbox, or measured effectiveness for these abilities. Nor does it establish which one is easiest to use. A player should choose according to the intended function—covering ground, stretching a melee opportunity, pulling a target, or threatening a route—without treating guide descriptions as a performance test.

The roles are not mirror images: a Runner’s ability may preserve a route or interrupt pursuit, while a Chaser’s may create a new way to reach or stop a target. Even within a role, timing matters. A 0.75-second shield, a 3-second Cloak, and a 7-second Decoy create very different windows; the Chaser figures likewise distinguish the Big Dagger’s 5-second expiry from the Bear Trap’s 12-second presence and half-second restraint.

Prices and ability lists vary across guides
Do not combine every guide’s numbers into a single price list. The October 12, 2026 Beebom guide is the most recent catalog located and reports five abilities per role with the prices shown above. Earlier sources give different values and, in some cases, fewer listed abilities:

- A Huss Valley guide lists three abilities per role and reports Cloak at 1,000 Gems, Pocket Door at 400 Gems, Rufus’s Leash at 1,200 Gems, and Rocket Shoes at 850 Gems.
- A separate fan-resource page says a published shop screenshot showed four Runner abilities, including Pocket Door at 400 Gems, Inflatable Decoy at 750 Gems, and Cloak at 1,000 Gems. It also says it did not test the current server.
- MMORocks says it checked in-game on October 3, 2026, but its guide also has a narrower Runner ability list and differs from the newer catalog and pricing.
The available accounts do not establish whether the differences reflect changing game versions, different capture dates, or errors in guide reporting. In particular, a screenshot or dated guide price should not be assumed to match the shop on the day you read this. Check the in-game shop before making a purchase decision, and treat the latest guide’s figures as attributed reference values rather than confirmed current prices.

Ability unlocks and what one equipped slot means
The October 12 guide says abilities can be unlocked with Gems or Robux and that players can equip one Runner ability and one Chaser ability at a time. The five entries for each role are therefore a catalog to choose from, not a set of five effects that the guide says can all be active simultaneously. One ability per role is the reported equip limit.
The material available here does not establish an exact menu path, button label, purchase confirmation flow, refund policy, or whether an unlock persists across all modes. It also does not establish that every listed item is available in every region or game version. Use the live game’s shop and loadout screen for those operational details rather than relying on a secondary guide’s generalized instructions.
Related items are not the same as role abilities
Guides also describe in-game items that should not be folded into the Runner-or-Chaser ability comparison. MMORocks, reporting an in-game check on October 3, 2026, describes Adrenaline as improving acceleration and turning for 5 seconds, Banana Peel as a thrown obstacle that trips the first opponent, and Rescue Kit as a self-revival item usable while rescue is available. It reports packs of three charges and says only one item can be equipped at a time.
