Humble’s Fright or Fight Halloween Bundle is a strong low-cost way to add horror games to a Steam library: the complete set contains seven Steam games for $12, while a $6 tier includes four. The important catch for Steam Deck owners is compatibility. Six games are listed as Verified or Playable, but Blair Witch is labeled Unsupported, so the bundle is not equally seamless across every title.
What is in the bundle?
Steam Deck HQ reported on October 14, 2026, that the offer has two tiers. The $6 tier includes four games; paying $12 adds three more for seven total.
| Tier | Price | Games | Steam Deck label |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry tier | $6 | Blair Witch; Observer: System Redux; DEVOUR; Tales from Candleforth | Blair Witch: Unsupported; the other three: Verified |
| Complete bundle | $12 | Everything in the $6 tier, plus The Medium; Layers of Fear; I Hate This Place | The Medium and I Hate This Place: Playable; Layers of Fear: Verified |
The labels come from the bundle listing rather than a claim of personal testing. The source author specifically noted they had not played I Hate This Place or Tales from Candleforth, so those games should be treated as catalog additions, not firsthand recommendations.
Which tier is better value?
Choose the $6 tier when you want a small horror sampler
The entry tier gives you four games for $6 and includes three titles listed as Verified for Steam Deck. That makes it the lower-risk choice if you already own one or more of the three additional games in the full tier, or if you are unsure whether you will play the larger set. The Unsupported label on Blair Witch means the headline game may require workarounds or may not provide a dependable handheld experience.

Choose the $12 tier for the complete seven-game lineup
The full set costs $12, adds The Medium, Layers of Fear and I Hate This Place, and brings the total to seven games. It is the more attractive option when you do not already own those additions and want a broader horror library. Noah Kupetsky of Steam Deck HQ described it as “a great way to get 7 horror games for your Steam Deck for only $12, including The Medium and Layers of Fear.”
If you already own any of the included games, calculate the marginal value before upgrading. The $6-to-$12 jump buys three additional licenses, not duplicate copies of games you can use again. Humble’s checkout should also be checked for regional pricing and ownership before payment, because availability and prices can change.

Steam Deck compatibility, game by game
Verified titles
- Observer: System Redux: listed as Verified.
- DEVOUR: listed as Verified.
- Tales from Candleforth: listed as Verified; the listing is a compatibility designation, not a firsthand review.
- Layers of Fear: listed as Verified and available only in the $12 tier.
Playable titles
- The Medium: listed as Playable and included in the complete tier.
- I Hate This Place: listed as Playable and included in the complete tier. No firsthand play assessment was provided by the cited author.
The exception: Blair Witch
Blair Witch is labeled Unsupported. Do not interpret the bundle’s six other positive labels as evidence that this title will work smoothly on Steam Deck. Unsupported can reflect control, display, launcher, text-entry or other problems, and the designation can change as software and Proton support evolve. Buy the $6 tier for its other games rather than assuming Blair Witch is a reliable handheld game.

- Open the current Humble Store bundle page and confirm that the offer is still available in your region.
- Select either the $6 four-game tier or the $12 seven-game tier.
- Complete checkout and open your Humble purchase page.
- Reveal each Steam key and redeem it on the Steam account where you want to own the games.
- Install the games through Steam on your Deck, then check each title’s current compatibility badge before downloading a large game.
IsThereAnyDeal lists a Steam-key redemption deadline of May 4, 2027. Redeem the keys well before that date; an unredeemed key is not the same as a game already attached to your Steam account. SteamGifts’ tracker lists November 5, 2026 as the bundle’s end date, but end dates, regional access and prices are volatile, so verify the live checkout page rather than relying on an older listing.

Digital-bundle convenience versus its risks
| Consideration | What it means |
|---|---|
| Convenience | One purchase supplies Steam keys for up to seven games, and redeemed games remain in the Steam library. |
| Cost | $6 buys four games; $12 buys all seven, before any regional tax or currency adjustment shown at checkout. |
| Key deadline | IsThereAnyDeal lists May 4, 2027 for redemption, so delaying activation creates avoidable risk. |
| Handheld compatibility | Six titles are listed Verified or Playable; Blair Witch is Unsupported. |
| Charitable support | IsThereAnyDeal says the bundle supports Whale and Dolphin Conservation. |
Who should buy it?
- Best fit: Steam Deck owners who want several horror games at a low upfront price and do not already own most of the lineup.
- Consider the $6 tier: if you mainly want Observer: System Redux, DEVOUR or Tales from Candleforth, or want to limit your exposure to the Unsupported Blair Witch listing.
- Consider the $12 tier: if the three added games are new to you and you want The Medium and Layers of Fear alongside the entry-tier titles.
- Skip or wait: if you require every game to be Verified, because the bundle does not meet that standard.
The bundle is a digital-license purchase, not a guarantee of identical performance on every Deck configuration. Check the current Steam compatibility pages after redemption, keep the key deadline in mind, and treat the Unsupported label as the deciding caveat.
