Huion Note E (model X50) is an 8.4-inch Android 15 tablet built around handwriting, with a matte LCD and a battery-free stylus included. It can also run Android apps, but it is not an E Ink e-reader: to read PDFs or ePub files, Huion says you need a separate reading app. Huion’s official store listing showed $332, reduced from $369, when observed on October 7, 2026; price and availability can vary by region and over time.
What the Huion Note E is
Huion describes the Note E as a standalone electronic notebook for digital note-taking, reading, and drawing. It runs Android 15 and has an 8.4-inch, 1920 × 1200 LCD with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 60Hz refresh rate, 270 PPI, 300-nit typical brightness, and a 99% sRGB color-gamut volume. These are Huion-published specifications, not independent test results. Huion’s product page presents the display’s etched matte finish as paper-like, but the screen remains a color LCD rather than E Ink.
The tablet includes a PW510 stylus that attaches magnetically and does not need charging. Huion lists 8,192 pressure levels and tilt recognition. Its notebook tools include searchable handwriting, handwriting recognition and conversion, task lists and reminders, PDF annotation, and notes linked to audio recordings. Huion also lists cloud backup and export options.
Is Huion Note E an Android tablet?
Yes. It is a standalone Android 15 device, and Huion says users can install third-party apps. That gives it more flexibility than a dedicated digital notebook, but app compatibility and screen layouts vary; Huion does not promise that every app will display or work ideally. It has no SIM support, so it is not a cellular tablet. Huion’s support FAQ covers Android use and these compatibility limits.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Can you use Huion Note E to read documents?
Yes, with a separate PDF or ePub reader app. Huion says document reading requires downloading a third-party reader; its built-in notebook capabilities include PDF annotation, but that is not the same as having a dedicated E Ink reading screen. The matte finish may reduce glare, yet the display is an LCD with a 60Hz refresh rate, not reflective E Ink. Buyers specifically seeking an E Ink display should treat that distinction as central, rather than relying on Huion’s paper-like description.
Storage, backups, and sharing
Huion lists 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The device does not support microSD expansion, so storage cannot be increased with a memory card. Huion lists Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox for cloud backup. Its proprietary .ahn backup files are not directly viewable on Windows, macOS, iOS, or iPadOS, according to the support FAQ. For sharing notes with other platforms, Huion offers PDF or JPG export.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Battery, charging, and portability
Huion specifies a 4,500mAh battery and estimates about 6.5 hours of use at 50% brightness, while warning that runtime varies with usage. This is the manufacturer’s estimate, not an independently measured result. Huion Support says charging takes about two hours with an 18W charger. The listed net weight is 348g, excluding the case and pen, so that figure is not the weight of the complete carry setup.
What is included, and what is not needed?
The PW510 stylus is included, and its battery-free design means no pen charging routine. Huion says the protective case comes pre-installed. The company also says an extra screen protector is not required and may negatively affect the display experience. A separate PDF or ePub app is the main reading setup requirement; no particular app is endorsed here.

Price and whether it fits your needs
Huion’s official store listing was observed at $332, reduced from $369, on October 7, 2026. This is a dated storefront observation, not a guaranteed current price or a universal regional offer. Check the listing for your region before treating the Note E as a tablet under $400.
The Note E is most relevant if you want handwriting and notebook tools in a compact Android device, alongside the option to install apps. It is a weaker fit if your priority is an E Ink reading experience, cellular connectivity, expandable storage, or a notebook backup format that can be opened directly across platforms. For cross-device access to notes, consider whether PDF or JPG exports meet your workflow.
