What is confirmed about the global launch?
GSMArena reported that Huawei introduced the MatePad Pro 12 (2026) globally at its Munich event on September 2, 2026. Its launch report said pricing and availability had not been detailed at that time. That does not establish whether a particular country has since announced a price or sale date, so buyers should check Huawei’s local site or authorized retailers for market-specific information. What are the display and design specifications?
Huawei’s current global specifications list a 12-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte display, a resolution of 3036 × 1952 pixels, and 302 ppi. The global page gives dimensions of 264.2 × 172.9 × 4.7 mm and an approximate weight of 454 g, including the battery. Huawei identifies these as laboratory figures and cautions that actual measurements and available versions can differ. They should be treated as Huawei’s stated specifications, not as independently verified measurements.
PaperMatte is an edition, not a universal display finish
PaperMatte is available only on the PaperMatte Edition. Huawei describes its screen design as forming diffuse reflection to reduce the impact of light and sunlight, while noting that the viewing experience depends on usage habits and environmental conditions. The description does not establish that PaperMatte is objectively better or more comfortable for every user, and the cited material does not provide an independent comparison with the standard OLED finish.

Huawei’s China product page distinguishes the PaperMatte version from other versions: its Chinese description says the 12-inch PaperMatte Edition uses Flexible OLED PaperMatte, while other versions use Flexible OLED. How do regional configurations differ?
China-market specifications should not be assumed to apply to every global model. Huawei’s China page distinguishes the standard MatePad Pro 12 and Enjoy Edition, listing Kirin T93 and T93A, respectively. It lists approximately 439 g for the standard-screen version and 454 g for the PaperMatte version, as well as an equivalent typical battery capacity of 10,400 mAh and an equivalent rated capacity of 10,300 mAh. These figures apply to the versions described on that China page.

GSMArena’s global launch report separately described a 9,760 mAh battery capacity for the EU and 10,400 mAh elsewhere. Since the report identifies a regional difference, check the exact local product specification rather than applying either capacity to every market or SKU.

- Local sale status and price: the global debut is reported, but the cited launch report did not provide a local price or sale date. Confirm current terms for your country.
- Display finish: check whether the offered model is standard OLED or the PaperMatte Edition; the finish is not the same across all versions.
