Display: large, fast-refreshing, but listed at HD+ resolution
Huawei specifies a 6.67-inch panel with support for refresh rates up to 120 Hz and peak brightness of 850 nits. The company notes that the refresh rate depends on the app and screen content, while brightness varies with the environment. GSMArena identifies the panel as IPS LCD and gives its resolution as 720 × 1604 pixels; those details are from a secondary listing, not the opened Huawei feature-page text.
A high refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations look smoother, but it does not change the resolution. If display sharpness is a priority, compare the Enjoy 90’s listed resolution with the exact phone you are considering.
Performance and software
Huawei lists a Kirin 8000A chipset and HarmonyOS 6. GSMArena lists the software as HarmonyOS 6.0 and reports 8 GB of RAM with either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. That storage and memory information is secondary-source data; confirm the configuration on the exact retail SKU.

Huawei claims a 61% overall performance improvement over the Enjoy 80. Its comparison used an Enjoy 90 running factory HarmonyOS 6.0 and an Enjoy 80 running factory HarmonyOS 4.2, with applications from March 2026. This is a Huawei laboratory comparison, not an independent benchmark, and Huawei says results can vary with environment and usage.
The product page also describes an “Enjoy X” button. A single press opens a shortcut grid; a double press or long press can open a user-selected frequent app. Huawei says the shortcuts provide one-tap access to functions such as payment, transit, calls and tools.

Huawei lists a 50 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera. The product-page specifications cited here do not establish additional camera details such as video recording modes, so check the exact model listing if those capabilities matter to your purchase.
Battery and charging: large capacity, with laboratory-only endurance figures
Huawei gives the battery capacity as 6,620 mAh typical and 6,480 mAh rated. The phone supports up to 40 W wired Huawei SuperCharge Turbo. Huawei says maximum 40 W charging and Turbo mode require its original fast-charge set, and that charging power changes by scenario. The available information does not establish what charger is included with a particular retail package.

Huawei reports a laboratory result of 55% charge in 30 minutes and six hours of viewing after 15 minutes of charging, but the page does not specify the test conditions for those two claims. Treat them as manufacturer test figures, not a guarantee of charging time or viewing time in everyday use.

For the room-temperature tests, Huawei also specifies seven volume steps. Its “two charges a week” line refers to a specific lab claim whose initial test started at 3% and charged to 100%; it should not be read as a typical-user charging schedule. Huawei warns that real-world results differ with usage, environment and product variation.

Durability, touch and safety features
Huawei says the phone passed CQC five-star whole-device drop-resistance certification and SGS five-star gold-label drop-resistance certification. The company advertises testing up to a 1.8 m drop and a maximum pressure of 65 kg, but explicitly cautions that a phone can still be damaged by a fall. These are certification and laboratory claims, not a promise that the device is damage-proof.
Huawei also lists wet-hand touch support. Its HarmonyOS 6 anti-fraud features include AI call-risk alerts, scam-script detection and AI face-swap detection. The company qualifies these as risk alerts rather than a security guarantee. Face-swap detection requires manual activation and, in the stated support context, is limited to video calls through Changlian, QQ and WeChat.

Price, release timing and market availability
Huawei’s China product page lists a starting price of ¥1,299, subject to the price shown in Huawei Mall. Tide News coverage hosted on Huawei’s feed reported that the Enjoy 90 series appeared at a spring product event on March 23, 2026, at the same base starting price. GSMArena gives March 23, 2026, as the announcement date and April 10, 2026, as the release date; those dates come from a secondary database, while Huawei’s opened feature page does not state an exact sale date.

- Confirm the exact regional model and whether it supports your carrier’s bands and 5G service; 5G support is not specified in the cited secondary listing.
- Check the seller’s listed RAM and storage configuration and whether the absence of a card slot shown in the secondary listing applies to that SKU.
- Compare display resolution as well as size and refresh rate if text and image sharpness matter to you.
- Check local software and app compatibility, the seller’s warranty, current price and package contents.
- If you need Turbo charging, verify that the original Huawei fast-charge set is available and compatible; the cited product information does not say whether it comes in the box.
