HP launched the 16-inch ZBook Ultra G3a mobile workstation in India on October 14, 2026. Launch reports list a starting price of ₹2,89,990 excluding taxes, but HP and the reports do not identify which configuration carries that price. The range spans a basic 32 GB/512 GB model and a substantially more capable 192 GB/1 TB model, so buyers should confirm the exact SKU and tax-inclusive amount before ordering.
India price and availability
Digit and Moneycontrol reported an India launch price of ₹2,89,990 before taxes. That is a starting figure rather than a confirmed price for every ZBook Ultra G3a configuration. Sales were reported through HP-authorised online and offline commercial channel partners. HP’s global announcement, dated September 15, 2026, said the workstation was expected to become available in October 2026; Indian launch coverage places availability on October 14.
Because the headline price is not tied to a published configuration, request the seller’s full product code, GST-inclusive invoice price, warranty terms and delivery region. Do not assume that the 192 GB model costs the same as the entry configuration.

These are separate SKUs, not memory options for one machine. The EC7E6PA has six times the listed memory and twice the listed storage of the E64YBAW, making the configuration choice more consequential than the ZBook Ultra G3a family name.

Display: IPS is documented; OLED depends on configuration
HP’s Indian specification for EC7E6PA lists a 16-inch diagonal, 1920×1200 WUXGA IPS anti-glare WLED panel with low-blue-light treatment, 400 nits brightness and 100% sRGB coverage. That specification does not describe an OLED screen.
Launch coverage also describes higher-end variants with a 16-inch 2.8K OLED display and refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Treat OLED as an available configuration option reported at launch, not as a standard feature. Before purchase, match the seller’s listing to the exact SKU and verify resolution, panel technology, refresh rate, brightness and colour coverage on the invoice or HP product page.

- Weight: starts at 1.9 kg; actual weight varies by configuration.
- Dimensions: 35.6 × 24.0 × 1.79 cm for the listed configuration.
- Battery: 96 Wh, six-cell.
- Charging: HP fast charge is specified at approximately 50% in 30 minutes.
- Wireless: Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
- Ports: HDMI 2.1, two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one additional USB-C port, USB-A and an SD card reader.
- Adapter: 180 W USB-C GaN power adapter.
The 1.9 kg starting weight is relatively portable for a 16-inch workstation, while the 96 Wh battery favours longer unplugged sessions than many smaller mobile workstations. Battery runtime itself was not supplied, so workload, display choice and power settings will determine endurance.

HP positions the ZBook Ultra G3a for local AI models and agents. HP says the platform can support large language models of up to 300 billion parameters, with as much as 192 GB of unified memory and up to 160 GB allocated as dedicated VRAM in the highest configuration. Digit also reports a 55 TOPS neural processing unit (NPU).

Those are vendor and launch-report capability claims, not independent benchmark results. A model’s ability to load locally does not guarantee useful generation speed: quantisation, context length, software support, thermal limits and memory bandwidth all affect real performance. The 192 GB EC7E6PA is the relevant documented Indian SKU for memory-heavy AI work; the 32 GB E64YBAW is aimed at substantially smaller local models and conventional professional applications.
HP’s global announcement additionally highlights Perplexity Computer integration and supported Autodesk Revit workflows. Availability of specific software features can depend on account, region, licensing and enterprise policy.

Which configuration should you buy?
Choose E64YBAW for general professional work
The E64YBAW’s Ryzen AI Max PRO 485, 32 GB memory and 512 GB SSD suit office applications, development environments, photo work, moderate creative projects and smaller AI experiments. It is the sensible choice when purchase cost, conventional workloads and portability matter more than loading very large models.

The EC7E6PA combines 16 CPU cores, 192 GB of unified memory, integrated Radeon 8065S graphics and a 1 TB PCIe Gen5 SSD. That headroom is intended for large datasets, demanding engineering or content workflows, virtual machines and local AI models that exceed ordinary laptop memory. Confirm that the seller supplies the 192 GB/1 TB SKU rather than a similarly named lower-tier system.

Choose an OLED variant only after checking the listing
OLED can be worthwhile for contrast and high-resolution creative work, but the Indian EC7E6PA specification is WUXGA IPS. If screen quality is a deciding factor, obtain written confirmation of the panel type and refresh rate before paying.
Buying checklist for India
- Record the complete SKU (E64YBAW or EC7E6PA, or another code shown by the seller).
- Verify processor model, core count, unified-memory capacity, SSD size and Radeon graphics details.
- Confirm whether the display is WUXGA IPS or 2.8K OLED and check its refresh rate, brightness and colour coverage.
- Get the tax-inclusive landed price, GST invoice, delivery location and warranty/support terms.
- Check that the included adapter is the documented 180 W USB-C GaN unit and that any replacement charger is compatible.
- For AI use, confirm software support and memory allocation requirements rather than relying only on the “300-billion-parameter” claim.
What is not yet established
No independent performance benchmark was identified for the Indian launch. Consequently, there is no verified battery-runtime figure, AI tokens-per-second result, thermal test or direct comparison between the two Indian SKUs. Treat the launch price as pre-tax and configuration-dependent until an authorised seller provides a final invoice.
