Windows does not provide a current Task Manager menu or dialog where you enter another computer’s name. Running taskmgr.exe from Run, Command Prompt, or PowerShell opens Task Manager in the Windows session where the command runs.
To see the complete Task Manager interface for another PC, connect to that PC with Remote Desktop and launch Task Manager inside the remote session. If you only need a list of running processes, use the tasklist command with its /s option instead.
Option 1: Open Task Manager through Remote Desktop
Remote Desktop gives you an interactive Windows session on the other computer. Task Manager then runs on that remote computer, rather than on your local PC.
Check the Remote Desktop requirement
The remote PC must run a Windows edition that supports hosting Remote Desktop, such as Windows Pro. The device you connect from can run any Windows edition, or another operating system.

Specify a different account
To use explicit credentials, include /u and /p:
tasklist /s <computer> /u <domain><username> /p <password>
The /u option can be used only when /s is also specified. Avoid placing a password directly in a command that may be saved in command history or visible to other users.

For example, this command searches the remote computer for Notepad:
tasklist /s srvmain /fi "IMAGENAME eq notepad.exe"
Remote filters can use fields including IMAGENAME, PID, SESSION, SESSIONNAME, CPUtime, MEMUSAGE, USERNAME, SERVICES, and MODULES.
Two filters are not supported when you specify a remote system:
tasklist /s <computer> /fi "STATUS eq NOT RESPONDING"
tasklist /s <computer> /fi "WINDOWTITLE eq <title>"

Computer Management: another remote-management option

- Right-click Start > Computer Management.
- Press Windows key + R, type
compmgmt.msc, and press Enter.
Use Computer Management when you need its available management snap-ins for a remote computer. Use Remote Desktop when you specifically need the full Task Manager interface.
