Short answer: as of October 13, 2026, there is no verified official command list for Manjiro “Mikey” Sano or Ken “Draken” Ryuguji in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves. SNK has announced both as Tokyo Revengers guest fighters for Season 3, but the available material confirms their release window and character-authentic presentation—not their individual move names, inputs, frame data or combos. Do not copy another fighter’s commands or guess from a trailer. When the downloadable content becomes selectable, use each character’s in-game Command List and Training tools to learn the exact Arcade Style and Smart Style inputs, then verify REV versions, follow-ups and S.P.G. requirements in the live game.
What is confirmed about Mikey and Draken
SNK announced Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji on October 8, 2026, as Season 3 guest fighters for FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves (CotW). The company identifies Sano as leader and Ryuguji as vice leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang. SNK says their appearances use character-authentic moves, animations and special intros while integrating with CotW’s systems. That establishes the intended identity of the fighters, but it does not publish their command inputs.
The announcement also describes shared Episodes of South Town story content involving Krauser, the Sacred Scrolls and a rescue of Rock, plus separate Arcade Mode premises for the two guests. Those story details do not reveal how a special move is performed in a match. SNK’s announcement describes Tokyo Revengers as Ken Wakui’s manga and anime property and reports more than 80 million copies in circulation worldwide; that circulation figure is SNK’s stated figure, not an independently checked sales audit.
Release timing and what you need to play
The dates matter because the character-specific instructions cannot be checked until the downloadable content is live on your platform. SNK places both fighters in Season Pass 3 during October 2026. Nintendo’s official Switch 2 listing gives Ken Ryuguji a scheduled release date of October 22, 2026. October 22 is later than the October 13 information date used for this guide, so treat both fighters as scheduled content rather than automatically available. SNK also notes that DLC schedules may change and that prices can vary by storefront.

Why a move-by-move list is not available yet
The official command-list material available for this date contains references for other CotW fighters, not verified entries for Sano or Ryuguji. SNK’s trailer language confirms that the guests have authentic moves and animations, but an animation is not a reliable command notation. A similar-looking kick, tackle or weapon motion can be implemented as a normal attack, a special, a REV Art or a contextual animation with a different input.
- Do not substitute another fighter’s command list for Mikey’s or Draken’s.
- Do not infer a motion-plus-button input from a trailer frame.
- Do not publish frame data, damage, invulnerability, follow-ups or matchup advice until the characters can be checked in the current game build.
- Record the patch or version shown by your copy when you document a command, because later balance updates can change behavior.
A complete guide becomes possible when the released character entries appear in the official Command List and can be reproduced in Training. Until then, the accurate answer to “What are Mikey’s moves?” or “How do I do Draken’s moves?” is that the verified inputs have not been published in the material available here.

CotW provides Arcade Style and Smart Style. The styles change how you enter a special; they do not establish which specials Sano or Ryuguji possess. Learn one style at a time and read the command shown for the selected style.
| Control style | How special moves are entered | What to verify for Sano or Ryuguji |
|---|---|---|
| Arcade Style | A direction-plus-button command; some attacks have light and heavy variants | The exact directional motion, button, strength variant and any simultaneous-button requirement displayed in the live Command List |
| Smart Style | A dedicated Special Move button, combined with directions to select different specials | Which direction selects each move, whether the move has light/heavy or other variants, and how the current layout labels the Special Move button |
When Arcade Style is the better starting point
Arcade Style exposes the traditional motion-and-button structure. It is useful if you already play motion-based fighting games or want to understand the individual light and heavy versions shown in the list. Start slowly: perform the directional motion, press the displayed button, and watch whether the character enters the intended move. Do not add REV inputs until the basic version is reliable.

When Smart Style is the better starting point
Smart Style reduces the number of buttons needed for a special by assigning a dedicated Special Move button and using directions to choose among specials. It can be a practical way to identify what a new guest does before you learn Arcade inputs. It is not evidence that Smart Style is universally stronger or easier in every situation. The useful comparison is the exact command, execution consistency and access to the options you want in the current version.
Understand the CotW systems that modify a move
Once Sano’s or Ryuguji’s basic command is visible, several global mechanics can change its strength, cost or follow-up. These rules apply to CotW generally; they do not prove that a particular guest has a specific property.

REV Arts
REV Arts are stronger versions of special moves. The Fighting Guide describes activating them with the relevant simultaneous face-button input after the special-move motion, consuming REV Meter. The exact simultaneous input and which specials support a REV version must come from the character’s current Command List. Test the normal and REV versions separately so you can see the change in reach, timing, damage or utility rather than assuming every special has one.
REV Accel
REV Accel lets a player chain REV Arts into other REV Arts, with a possible REV Blow follow-up. Treat this as a resource-and-confirm sequence, not an automatic combo route. After the characters are available, check which of their moves can start or continue the chain, how much meter each step consumes and whether the route ends in a REV Blow.
REV Meter and overheat
REV actions build REV Meter, and the meter recovers over time and through actions such as landing attacks. Overheat makes REV actions unavailable. During practice, watch the meter after every REV Art and after a chain. A sequence that works with a full gauge may fail when the gauge is low or overheated, so record the resource state with any combo notation.

REV Guard
REV Guard is a special block that creates more distance than an ordinary block and negates chip damage from enemy special moves. It is a defensive option to test against the opponent’s specials, not a character-specific move. Check its timing and resource behavior in Training before relying on it in a match.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesREV Blow and S.P.G.
REV Blow has defensive properties and can be used grounded or in midair. The official manual says it requires S.P.G. to be active. At the start of a match, you choose S.P.G.’s position at the start, middle or end of the health gauge. While S.P.G. is active, attack strength increases and REV Blow becomes available. Because the chosen position changes when that window occurs, select it deliberately for the way you intend to play the guest, then verify the result in Training.
Just Defense and Hyper Defense
Just Defense and Hyper Defense are precisely timed defensive actions. SNK lists benefits that include small health recovery, REV Meter reduction and a chance to guard cancel. Practice the timing independently from Sano’s or Ryuguji’s attacks; otherwise it is difficult to tell whether a failed sequence came from the move command or the defensive input.
Braking and feints
Braking cancels certain special-move animations to reduce recovery. Feints can threaten a move without completing it and can reduce recovery after normal attacks. Which moves accept braking or feinting is character-specific and must be confirmed in the live command list or Training behavior. Do not assume that every Mikey or Draken special can be canceled.
How to learn each guest’s real moves after release
Use this procedure separately for Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji. It avoids guessing and leaves you with notation you can reproduce on your own platform.

- Confirm access. Update CotW, verify that Season Pass 3 or the applicable DLC is attached to your account, and make sure the selected platform and edition include the guest. If the character is not selectable, no command test is meaningful.
- Select the fighter and style. Enter Training with Sano or Ryuguji and choose Arcade Style first if you want motion notation, or Smart Style if you want the dedicated Special Move button. Write down which style is active before recording inputs.
- Open the in-game Command List. Read every page for normals, command attacks, specials, REV Arts, super-style actions and follow-ups that the game actually displays. Capture the button labels exactly as your platform presents them rather than translating them into a different controller’s letters.
- Test one command at a time. Stand still, perform the listed input and confirm the animation. Repeat from both sides of the screen; a command that works only on one side usually indicates a directional execution error.
- Separate variants. If the list shows light and heavy versions or a Smart Style directional choice, test each version individually. Note range, speed and recovery only after observing them in the current build; do not import numbers from another game or trailer.
- Test REV versions with a full gauge. Perform the normal special, then the displayed REV input. Confirm the meter cost, visual difference and whether the move can be canceled or followed by another action.
- Check REV Accel and REV Blow. Try each listed chain in Training, then repeat with S.P.G. active and inactive where the game permits. Record the health-gauge position and meter state for any successful route.
- Practice braking and feints only where listed. Attempt the cancel after the move reaches the relevant animation point. If nothing happens, return to the Command List; do not assume the input is wrong until you have confirmed that the move supports the mechanic.
- Validate defensive interactions. Use a recording dummy to test REV Guard, Just Defense, Hyper Defense and the guest’s recovery after a blocked or whiffed move. Keep defensive findings separate from attack notation.
- Recheck after patches. Save the game version and date beside your notes. If a later update changes a command, meter cost or follow-up, replace the old entry instead of presenting both as current.
A practical first-session plan for Mikey or Draken
Session 1: command recognition
Spend the first session learning the command list rather than trying to win with an unverified combo. Perform every normal and special on the left and right sides. For each action, note the Arcade Style motion or Smart Style direction, the button label, whether a light/heavy choice exists and whether the action spends REV Meter. This creates a reliable vocabulary without claiming that one fighter is stronger than the other.
Session 2: confirms and resource states
After the basic commands are automatic, test a normal attack into each listed special and then into any listed REV Art. Repeat with a nearly empty REV Meter and after overheat to learn which options disappear. If a route requires S.P.G., place S.P.G. at the start, middle and end of the gauge in separate trials so you know when REV Blow is actually available.
Session 3: defense and space
Record a dummy using a special move and practice REV Guard, then repeat with ordinary blocking to compare distance and chip behavior. Practice Just Defense and Hyper Defense on a fixed rhythm before mixing in movement. Only after these tests should you evaluate whether a particular guest prefers close pressure, retreating or counterattacks; the official material does not provide a strength ranking.
Session 4: match verification
Use Arcade Mode, Episodes of South Town or local matches to check whether the commands remain practical under pressure. Keep your notes descriptive—input, resource state, range and observed result—rather than assigning unsupported frame data. If a move behaves differently outside Training, check the command list and patch version first.

Common mistakes and fixes
- “The trailer showed the move, so I know the input.” A visual animation does not identify the command. Read the released character entry and reproduce it in Training.
- “Smart Style and Arcade Style should use the same buttons.” They intentionally use different systems. Arcade uses direction-plus-button commands; Smart uses the dedicated Special Move button with directions.
- “My REV move stopped working.” Check REV Meter and overheat. REV actions can become unavailable when overheated.
- “REV Blow is not coming out.” Confirm that S.P.G. is active and that the health-gauge position you selected has been reached.
- “The move works from one side only.” Practice the mirrored directional motion and verify that you are not holding an extra direction.
- “A copied combo fails after an update.” Confirm the current patch and re-test every step. Do not present old notation as current without a version qualification.
- “I bought the base game but cannot select the guest.” The Standard Edition is base game only. Check that the relevant Season Pass 3 DLC is owned, installed and supported on your platform and storefront.
What this guide can and cannot tell you
This guide can explain CotW’s control schemes, REV systems, S.P.G. and a verification workflow. It cannot honestly supply Sano’s or Ryuguji’s special names, button sequences, frame data, damage values, matchup tiering or tested combo routes before those commands are exposed in the released game. SNK’s statement that the pair bring Tokyo Revengers’ spirit to CotW confirms the presentation goal, not the technical details needed for a move list.
When the DLC is live, the authoritative sequence is simple: select the correct guest, open the current in-game Command List, test every entry in Training, note the control style and resource conditions, and date your findings. That method answers “how do I do Draken’s moves?” or “what are Mikey’s moves?” without turning an unverified trailer interpretation into a false command guide.
