Corvo Bianco’s full renovation costs 14,000 crowns in the quest database, including the 5,000-crown general refurbishment that unlocks the other house upgrades. Commission the work from majordomo Barnabas-Basil Foulty during No Place Like Home, then return after each in-game wait. The optional cellar laboratory is separate from the full-renovation achievement.
How to unlock Corvo Bianco renovations
Corvo Bianco is Geralt’s vineyard estate in Toussaint, introduced in the Blood and Wine expansion. Anna Henrietta gives him the deed as a retainer for hunting the Beast of Beauclair. At the estate, meet Barnabas-Basil Foulty, take his tour, and ask him about renovating to begin the No Place Like Home quest.
Choose house work or grounds work from the renovation conversation. The general house refurbishment is the gateway to the additional indoor upgrades. The quest database lists it at 5,000 crowns and about three in-game days; after it is complete, speak with Barnabas-Basil again to commission further jobs. Costs and times below are those listed in the Witcher.tools quest database, an unofficial fan reference.

The quest database lists the complete set of renovations at 14,000 crowns. The table distinguishes the initial refurbishment from the subsequent listed jobs; the optional cellar laboratory is not part of that complete-renovation total.

Which upgrades should you buy first?
After the general refurbishment, the game does not establish a single best order for the remaining work. Choose based on what you use: the stable for Roach’s Stamina, the bed for Vitality, or the grindstone and armorer’s table for practical grounds fixtures. Display racks, the guest room, and garden restore or add estate features; complete every listed renovation if your goal is the full-renovation achievement.
How to find the hidden cellar laboratory
Once the general refurbishment is complete, investigate the cellar. Workers discover a sealed room there. Search the room and use Aard on the damaged wall to open the hidden laboratory. This is optional and is not required for the full-renovation achievement.

How to finish No Place Like Home
- Commission the general house refurbishment from Barnabas-Basil and allow about three in-game days for it to finish.
- Return to the majordomo and order the remaining indoor and grounds renovations you want. Each job has its own listed wait of one to three days; the estate menu and quest database provide the relevant cost and duration.
- After every listed upgrade has finished, speak with Barnabas-Basil to complete the quest and earn the Playing House achievement.
Barnabas-Basil offers a celebratory drink at the end. Accepting or declining does not affect renovation completion.

Do you need to buy Blood and Wine?
Corvo Bianco and its renovation quest require Blood and Wine. CD PROJEKT RED says the current Complete Edition includes both Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Its support FAQ says existing base-game owners receive both expansions at no extra cost, and notes that standalone expansion listings have been delisted while the digital base game is replaced by the Complete Edition. Check your game library and platform store before buying; availability and listings can change. CD PROJEKT RED lists current-gen Remastered availability for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
