Short answer: your race determines the starter ability you can unlock in Type Soul. Shinigami pursue Shikai, Quincy pursue Schrift, and Arrancar pursue Partial Resurrección. The reported gate for each starter ability is Grade 2. Elite Grade matters later for Full Resurrección and related advanced progression. Clan creation is a separate system that costs 100,000 Kan and uses the ClanCreator NPC in Karakura Town.
The instructions below reflect community-maintained Type Soul Wiki pages available in October 2026, not official developer documentation. NPC routes, objective counts, names, and reroll behavior can change. Use the live prompt, tracker, and NPC dialogue in your server as the final authority, especially for Arrancar’s later quests and element rerolls.
Know which unlock belongs to your race
You cannot choose Shikai, Schrift, and Res freely on one character. They are tied to your character’s race:

This race lock is the first decision point. If you are a Shinigami, Quincy objectives will not unlock the corresponding ability, and vice versa. Arrancar progression is also split into separate milestones: Partial Res is the early unlock, while Full Res and Segunda are substantially later goals.

How to unlock Shikai in Type Soul
The community Shikai guide places the starter requirement at Grade 2. Once you reach that grade, the reported route is a sequence of meditations followed by a spirit fight.
Step 1: Reach Grade 2
Do not start the meditation sequence before the reported grade gate. The guide identifies Grade 2 as the point at which Shikai becomes available. Because grade and progression rules can be revised, check your current character panel or in-game progression indicator before spending time on the sequence.
Step 2: Meditate three times
- Press M to begin meditation.
- Remain in the meditation session for the listed five minutes.
- Repeat until you have completed three five-minute sessions.
The timing is reported per session, so the three sessions represent roughly 15 minutes of uninterrupted meditation if the current behavior matches the community guide. Movement, combat, death, or a changed prompt may interrupt the process; if a session does not register, use the current on-screen instruction rather than assuming the timer carried over.
Step 3: Meditate again to enter the Shikai world
After the third session, meditate once more. The guide says this additional meditation should transport you to the Shikai world. Teleporting has been reported to bug. If nothing happens, check whether the meditation prompt completed, leave and re-enter the activity if the game allows it, and use the current in-game support or prompt. Do not repeatedly abandon a successful sequence until you have confirmed that the teleport failed.
Step 4: Speak to your spirit five times
Inside the Shikai area, interact with the spirit five times as directed by the guide. Count completed dialogue interactions, not merely opening the conversation. If the spirit does not advance, finish each dialogue window and look for a new interaction prompt before starting the next count.
Step 5: Defeat the spirit
After the five interactions, fight and defeat the Shikai spirit. Victory is the reported unlock trigger. The community page describes the result this way: “After you have defeated your Shikai you will unlock your Shikai ability and you will be able to talk to your spirit.” Once the fight ends, verify that Shikai is available in your ability interface and that the spirit can still be contacted.
How to get Schrift in Type Soul
Schrift is the Quincy route. The reported requirement is Grade 2, followed by an objective list obtained from a statue in Wandenreich Town.

Step 1: Reach Grade 2 as a Quincy
Go through the Quincy progression until your character reaches Grade 2. The statue’s task interaction is the reported gate; attempting to complete the list on a lower-grade character may not start the quest.
Step 2: Talk to the Schrift statue
Find the statue beside the bridge in Wandenreich Town and interact with it. The statue is the objective source, not a one-time item or a checklist copied from another player. The guide says you can return to the statue to review the current requirements, which is useful if you lose track of a grip or kill.
The community page explains the purpose of the interaction as follows: “These whispers will tell you what you need to do to unlock your schrift.” Read the list the statue gives your character, because objective names and counts can be changed by updates.
Step 3: Complete the reported objectives

The guide reports a cutscene and respawn after the objectives are completed. Allow the sequence to finish instead of leaving during the transition. After respawning, open your ability or progression interface and confirm that Schrift is available.
How to get Partial Res in Type Soul
Partial Resurrección is the Arrancar starter unlock. The community material places it at Grade 2 and describes an interaction route involving Hueco Mundo, Las Noches, and an obstacle course. Two pages give different route details, so use the active prompt in your game.
Step 1: Reach Grade 2 as an Arrancar
Partial Res is reported as a Grade 2 unlock. Arriving at the listed locations before that grade may not produce the required interaction.

Step 2: Find the current Arrancar quest prompt
One version of the route says to interact with Harribel in Hueco Mundo and then interact with the pink orb in Las Noches. A summary on the Arrancar page describes a changed route in which players can go directly to the castle at night without first speaking to Harribel. Because those instructions conflict, do not treat the Harribel conversation as universally mandatory.

- Check Harribel in Hueco Mundo if she is presenting the active objective.
- Check the pink orb and the castle in Las Noches, particularly at night if the current route indicates that timing.
- Follow the interaction that actually advances your tracker.
Step 3: Complete the obstacle course
The reported Partial Res route ends with an obstacle course. Follow its current checkpoints and confirm that the tracker advances after each segment. If the course does not start, return to the NPC or orb that issued it and read the prompt again; the route may have changed rather than being broken.
Step 4: Verify Partial Res
Completing the active course is reported to grant Partial Resurrección. The community page summarizes the result: “Completing it grants you your Partial Resurrección.” Check the ability menu before beginning a later Res quest so you know the starter unlock was recorded.
How to unlock Full Resurrección
Full Res is not an alternate name for Partial Res. It is a separate, later Arrancar progression quest, and the Resurrección page identifies Elite Grade as its requirement.

The exact first-stage requirement is not stable in the available community pages. One page says seven Clan War wins no longer work for Resurrección. The Arrancar page gives different numbers and point weights for stage one. Therefore, there is no responsible single total to copy here. Open the live V – Unequaled, Unrivaled tracker and follow the requirements it displays for your character.
A practical Full Res checklist
- Reach Elite Grade and confirm that Full Res is visible in your current tracker.
- Record the active stage-one ranked, raid, win, or point requirement exactly as displayed.
- Work through the tracker’s Hollow, opposite-faction grip, and world-boss objectives. The community page reports 50 Hollow NPC kills and 10 Elite opposite-faction grips, but verify those counts in the live tracker.
- Complete the labyrinth search only after the preceding objectives show as complete.
- Check your ability menu and tracker for the Full Res completion state.
Do not rely on an old seven-win Clan War instruction. The page that mentions it explicitly flags that route as no longer working.

How to unlock Segunda Etapa
Segunda Etapa is an advanced follow-on, not the first Res unlock. The community Segunda page requires both Full Resurrección and Vastocar status.
- Complete the current Full Res route at Elite Grade.
- Confirm that your character has Vastocar status.
- Return to the sword used during your progression, following the current prompt.
- Complete the interaction or encounter presented there and verify Segunda Etapa in your ability interface.
The available instructions do not establish a single current fight, timer, or objective count for the final sword interaction. Treat the live prompt as authoritative.

How elements and rerolls work
Element terminology is less stable than the race-based unlocks. A community update-log search result says Shikai, Res, and Volt rerolls were renamed or consolidated as Element Rerolls. That log references updates after September 1, 2024, but it does not establish that the item name, acquisition method, or reset behavior is still current in October 2026.
Before using a reroll
- Open your current inventory and look for the item name used by your server’s live build.
- Open the active reroll interface or ability menu and read its reset warning.
- Confirm whether the reroll changes an element, a full ability, or another part of your build.
- Check whether the item is consumed immediately or only after confirmation.
- Record your existing element or ability before accepting the change.
No reliable current source in the available material establishes a jointly comparable set of element odds. Do not use old rarity labels or percentage tables as guaranteed October 2026 probabilities, and do not assume that a Shikai reroll behaves exactly like a Res or Volt reroll. Compare the element descriptions in your live interface with your build’s needs only after confirming what the reroll actually changes.
What to do if the reroll item is missing
First check whether the game now uses a consolidated Element Rerolls item rather than separate Shikai, Res, and Volt items. Then inspect the current acquisition instructions in-game. If the interface still does not explain how to obtain or use it, avoid spending an older item until a current prompt or tracker confirms its effect.

The community Clans page reports a cost of 100,000 Kan. The requirement applies to the player creating the clan and must be held at the time of creation.
Clan creation steps
- Accumulate 100,000 Kan and keep it on the character who will create the clan.
- Travel to Karakura Town.
- Go to the second floor of the parking lot.
- Find and talk to the ClanCreator NPC.
- Enter a clan name that meets the current character limit, contains no spaces, and passes Roblox filtering.
- Confirm creation only after checking the spelling and available name rules.
The community page states: “Creating a clan first requires the person creating a clan to have 100,000 Kan on them.” The available instructions support creation, but do not fully document joining, leaving, or rejoining another clan. Do not assume those actions have the same cost or NPC route.

Troubleshooting unlocks that do not register
The meditation teleport never happens
- Confirm that all three five-minute sessions completed at Grade 2.
- Perform the additional meditation again and wait for the current prompt to finish.
- Check for a changed teleport instruction or a server transition.
- If the sequence still fails, use the current in-game support route; the teleport bug is community-reported, not an official fix.
The Schrift statue gives no useful task list
- Verify that your character is Quincy and has reached Grade 2.
- Interact with the statue beside the bridge in Wandenreich Town.
- Read the full dialogue and revisit the statue after each objective.
- Do not substitute an old checklist if the statue displays different objectives.
Partial Res will not start
- Check both the Harribel interaction and the pink orb or castle prompt, because community pages describe different routes.
- Try the route indicated by the current time and NPC dialogue, including a nighttime castle route if shown.
- Confirm that the obstacle course has actually started before attempting its checkpoints.
Full Res progress is stuck
- Confirm Elite Grade.
- Open the V – Unequaled, Unrivaled tracker and use its current stage-one values.
- Do not continue an obsolete seven- Clan-War-win route when the tracker says it no longer counts.
- Recheck that Hollow kills, opposite-faction grips, world-boss credit, and labyrinth progress are all recorded.
A clan name is rejected
- Remove spaces from the name.
- Shorten it to fit the current character limit.
- Use wording that passes Roblox filtering.
- Return to ClanCreator only after the name meets all three conditions.
Which path should you follow?
There is no starter-ability choice to compare across races. Follow the path that matches your character:

For Arrancar, plan in stages: unlock Partial Res first, then pursue Full Res at Elite Grade, and only then work toward Segunda if you also meet Vastocar requirements. For elements, inspect the live reroll interface instead of selecting from an old odds chart. For clans, save 100,000 Kan and use ClanCreator in Karakura Town.
What is confirmed and what can change
The strongest consistent points are the race lock, the Grade 2 gate for starter abilities, the Shikai meditation-and-spirit sequence, the Quincy statue checklist, the existence of separate Partial, Full, and Segunda Res progression, and the 100,000-Kan clan-creation requirement. The volatile points are exact NPC routes, stage-one Full Res values, reroll names and effects, and any objective count changed by a game update.
