You can unlock Street Fighter 6’s Outfit 2 costumes through gameplay or buy them in the in-game Shop. For colors and additional costumes, the route depends on the item: year-specific Character and Ultimate Passes bundle set content, while some special colors use limited-time codes and require the matching outfit first. You do not need to buy a pass to use the confirmed gameplay routes for Outfit 2.
Choose a route based on the item you want
Street Fighter 6 does not have one universal unlock method for every costume and color. First identify the character and the specific outfit or color. Then check whether it is available through World Tour, Avatar Arcade, the Shop, a pass for your platform, or a time-limited promotion. Those options are not interchangeable: gameplay unlocks Outfit 2, passes bundle specified content, and a promotion may impose its own date and outfit requirements.
- Want a character’s Outfit 2 without buying it? Use that master’s World Tour route or fill the master’s Acquisition Gauge in Avatar Arcade.
- Want multiple DLC characters, colors, and costumes together? Compare the Character Pass and Ultimate Pass listing for the correct year and platform.
- Want a promotional color? Check its event dates, platform restrictions, and required character outfit before relying on a code.
Capcom has not published, in the cited unlock announcement, a complete current catalog of individual color prices or a character-by-character list of World Tour tasks. Check the in-game Shop and the current listing or event terms for the exact item rather than assuming every costume or color follows the same rules.

Capcom’s May 28, 2026 announcement confirms three ways to get Outfit 2: meet conditions in World Tour, fill a master’s Acquisition Gauge to MAX in Avatar Arcade, or purchase the outfit from the Shop. The gameplay methods use different systems; choose based on which mode you want to play and the character you are pursuing.

World Tour: complete that master’s conditions and build the bond
In World Tour, Outfit 2 is tied to the individual master. Capcom confirms that maximizing a master’s bond unlocks that character’s Outfit 2, and also describes the route as meeting conditions in World Tour. There is no single universal checklist in the announcement: it does not specify one identical mission, gift, or sequence for every character.
- Open World Tour and check the status and available missions for the master whose Outfit 2 you want.
- Complete that character’s applicable World Tour conditions and raise the bond with the master.
- Check the master’s bond or unlock status in-game. When the bond reaches its maximum, the Outfit 2 unlocks.
Because the requirements are character-specific, do not assume that following another character’s mission or gift routine will work. Use the current in-game master information for the character you have chosen; a general walkthrough cannot be treated as a verified checklist for every master.
Avatar Arcade: fill the Acquisition Gauge to MAX
Avatar Arcade offers a separate gameplay route. Defeating masters fills their Acquisition Gauge; when a particular master’s gauge reaches MAX, that master’s Outfit 2 unlocks. This route is based on the gauge threshold rather than the World Tour bond condition.
- Enter Avatar Arcade and select or encounter the master whose Outfit 2 you want.
- Defeat masters to fill the relevant Acquisition Gauge.
- Continue until that master’s gauge displays MAX. The Outfit 2 for that master then unlocks.
Track the gauge for the character you are targeting rather than treating progress toward one master as a guaranteed unlock for another. Capcom’s announcement establishes the MAX threshold but does not give a number of fights required, so the effort should not be promised as a fixed match count.

Shop: buy the individual outfit
Capcom also confirms purchase from the Shop as an Outfit 2 route. This is the direct alternative if you do not want to unlock it through World Tour or Avatar Arcade. The available listing and price can change, and the official information cited here does not establish a current price for every individual outfit. Check the item in the game’s Shop before purchasing.
What Character Passes and Ultimate Passes include
Passes are a bundle route, not a substitute for checking a specific character’s current listing. Capcom’s June 29, 2026 announcement says each Character Pass includes four additional characters, Outfit 1 Colors 3–10 for those characters, and Drive Tickets. Each Ultimate Pass includes the corresponding Character Pass content plus Outfit 2 and Outfit 3 costumes and additional Drive Tickets. The base game is required separately.

Year 1 and Year 2 passes also include additional stages, according to Capcom’s pass announcement. That detail should not be generalized to every year’s product: compare the specific listing rather than assuming all passes have identical extras. Pass contents are platform-specific products and vary by year, so a pass for a different platform or release year may not match what you need.

Year 3 Ultimate Pass: a specific example
The Year 3 Ultimate Pass listing gives a concrete illustration of what one Ultimate Pass can contain. It names Sagat, C. Viper, Alex, and Ingrid; includes Outfit 1 Colors 3–10 for those characters; and lists Outfits 2 and 3, each with Colors 1–10. It also includes one additional stage and 5,800 Drive Tickets. The base game is sold separately.

Some colors are promotional rewards rather than ordinary pass contents. A code does not necessarily make a color usable immediately: the event can require the game, downloadable content, or a particular outfit. Promotional windows and eligible platforms also matter, so distinguish when a code can be entered from when a reward can actually be used.
M. Bison commemorative color: code window opens October 15, 2026
Capcom’s October 9, 2026 campaign ties a commemorative M. Bison special color to eligible Capcom Town Store orders. To use the color, players need Street Fighter 6, Year 2 DLC, and the applicable character’s Outfit 2. The code may be entered before Outfit 2 is obtained, but the color remains unusable until that Outfit 2 is acquired.
Capcom lists support for Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Codes are not shared across platforms, so a code for one platform should not be treated as a cross-platform unlock. The code-entry period runs from October 15, 2026, at 11:00 ET through January 15, 2027, at 09:59 ET. As of October 13, 2026, that entry window has not yet opened. Check the campaign’s current terms for the eligible order and code details.

Guile Twitch reward: viewing window has passed
Capcom’s Guile promotion distributed a movie-inspired color code for watching the Street Fighter 6 Twitch category for at least 30 minutes during its event windows: October 1–2 and October 12–13, 2026. Both viewing periods have passed as of October 13, 2026, so this is not a currently available viewing route.
Capcom scheduled code redemption to begin October 15, 2026, at 8:00 AM PT. Redeeming and using the reward requires Street Fighter 6 and the applicable Outfit 2, as well as an online connection. The code is limited to one platform and cannot be shared across platforms. If you already earned a code, use the event’s terms to confirm its validity and platform before trying to redeem it; watching after the stated windows does not meet the published viewing requirement.
How to avoid buying or pursuing the wrong unlock
- Identify the exact item. Outfit 2, Outfit 3, Outfit 1 color variants, and event colors may have different routes.
- For Outfit 2, compare time with cost. World Tour and Avatar Arcade are confirmed gameplay options; the Shop is the direct purchase route.
- For a pass, check year and platform first. Character rosters and extras vary, and the base game is not included in the listed pass requirements.
- For a code, read the conditions before counting on it. Confirm the event is still open, the required DLC and outfit, and that the code matches your platform.
- Do not assume amiibo unlocks costumes. Capcom’s amiibo manual describes saving and reading outfit and color settings; it does not identify amiibo as a costume-unlock method.
What is not established about colors
The confirmed pass specifications identify certain color ranges, such as Outfit 1 Colors 3–10 for pass characters and, in the Year 3 Ultimate Pass listing, Colors 1–10 for Outfits 2 and 3. Those product details do not establish how every color outside those bundles is obtained. Likewise, the available official information does not provide a complete live catalog or current individual-color prices. For any color not named in a pass or active event, verify its current in-game Shop or official event listing rather than assuming it is free, purchasable, or tied to a universal unlock condition.
