It depends what you mean by “track”: the City Escape song and a City Escape race course are different things. For Jukebox music, earn A rank on three different Time Trial tracks to unlock a selection of Sonic-series songs—but the available reporting does not confirm that this specifically unlocks the City Escape song. A City Escape course has been reported as planned Year 2 DLC, with no release date or player unlock steps reported.
If you mean the City Escape song
A review of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds reports that earning A rank on three different Time Trial tracks unlocks a selection of Sonic-series songs for the Jukebox. It does not identify the individual songs or establish that City Escape is among the rewards for that specific milestone. TechRadar’s review, published September 18, 2025, is the source for the general unlock method.
- Open Time Trial and race on a track.
- Earn an A rank on that track.
- Repeat on two other, different Time Trial tracks.
- Check the Jukebox for newly available Sonic-series music.
If City Escape does not appear, the three-A-rank requirement alone is not confirmed to unlock that particular song. The reporting does not provide a separate City Escape song requirement.

A report published October 9, 2026 says Year 2 DLC will include a City Escape course featuring Godzilla. The report does not give a release date or explain how players will access or unlock it, so there is no confirmed procedure to follow yet. See Shacknews’ Year 2 DLC preview for the announcement.
