To enable Wi-Fi Calling on iPhone, open Settings > Cellular, choose the phone line if you use more than one, tap Wi-Fi Calling, and turn it on. Your carrier and region must support the feature; follow any prompt to enter or confirm your emergency-services address.
What Wi-Fi Calling does
Wi-Fi Calling lets a supported iPhone make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi connection when cellular reception is weak. It is a carrier-dependent feature and is not available with every carrier or in every country or region. Check your carrier’s current requirements if you do not see the setting or cannot activate it. Turn on Wi-Fi Calling

Open Settings > Cellular. Depending on your iPhone software or region, the menu wording may vary.

If you use multiple SIMs, tap the line you want to enable Wi-Fi Calling for.

Tap Wi-Fi Calling and turn on Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone, or the equivalent switch shown on your device.

Complete any prompt to enter or confirm the address used for emergency services.

Check whether Wi-Fi Calling is available
When the feature is available, Apple says “Wi-Fi” appears after your carrier’s name in the status bar. You can also check the indicator in Control Center. If you do not see it, the carrier, current connection, or selected phone line may not be allowing Wi-Fi Calling at that moment.
Know how emergency calls work
If cellular service is available, iPhone routes emergency calls through cellular. If cellular is unavailable and Wi-Fi Calling is enabled, an emergency call may instead use Wi-Fi. Location information may be used to help emergency responders, and some carriers may use the address registered for Wi-Fi Calling as your location. Apple also warns that emergency alerts may not reach your iPhone while it is connected to Wi-Fi Calling. Check your carrier’s emergency-calling rules for your location rather than relying on Wi-Fi Calling as a guarantee of emergency access.
Fix Wi-Fi Calling that will not turn on or work
Try Apple’s troubleshooting steps in order. Apple advises waiting two minutes between the listed steps.

Confirm carrier support and update iOS. Verify that your carrier offers Wi-Fi Calling for your region and account, and install the current iPhone software available to you.

Check the line and setting. Go to Settings > Cellular, select the intended SIM line, then confirm Wi-Fi Calling is enabled.

Restart your iPhone. After it starts again, check the Wi-Fi Calling setting and indicator.

Try another Wi-Fi network. Some Wi-Fi networks do not work with Wi-Fi Calling. Testing a different network can help identify whether the connection is the issue.

Toggle Wi-Fi Calling off and on. Return to the setting for the selected line and switch it off, then turn it back on.

Reset network settings only if needed. This is a later troubleshooting step; be aware that resetting network settings removes saved network configuration. Follow Apple’s current instructions at Apple Support’s Wi-Fi Calling troubleshooting page.

What happens if Wi-Fi drops during a call?
Apple says a call may switch from Wi-Fi to carrier VoLTE if Wi-Fi drops, provided VoLTE is available and turned on. The transition is not guaranteed for every carrier or setup, so do not assume a call will continue uninterrupted.
Use Wi-Fi Calling on other Apple devices
Some carriers allow calls on other iCloud-connected Apple devices. Apple’s requirements include current software, the same Apple Account for iCloud and FaceTime, and enabling the relevant calls-on-other-devices settings. Availability depends on the carrier and region. See Apple’s carrier support and features directory and Apple’s Wi-Fi Calling instructions for applicable device and setup details.
