To stop PS5 Game Help pop-ups without silencing other notices, open Settings > Notifications > Manage Pop-Ups and turn off Game Help. To suppress notification pop-ups more broadly, turn off Allow Pop-Up Notifications in Settings > Notifications. These settings affect notifications—not the activity cards shown in the Control Center.
Turn off only Game Help notifications
- From the PS5 home screen, open Settings > Notifications.
- Select Manage Pop-Ups.
- Find Game Help and switch it off.
This is the narrower choice if you want to keep other notification pop-ups. In the same menu, you can choose whether particular types of pop-ups are suppressed while you are playing games, watching videos, or broadcasting.
Suppress notification pop-ups more broadly
- Open Settings > Notifications.
- Select Allow Pop-Up Notifications and switch it off.
This setting suppresses pop-ups more broadly than turning off the Game Help type alone. Use it when you want fewer notification interruptions overall; use the Game Help option when you want to keep other pop-ups enabled.

Game Help is a notification and an optional game aid
PlayStation Support says Game Help notifications appear when you begin playing a game that has Game Help available. Depending on the game and what you are doing, Game Help can offer hints, tips, or walkthrough videos. To open Game Help, press the PS button, select the Game Help card in the Control Center, and choose an objective.

Activity cards are part of the Control Center
Sony describes cards as features and actions tied to the game being played. Activity cards may show game activities, challenges, or trophy progress based on your progress. They are Control Center interface elements, not notification pop-ups.
As a result, turning off Game Help notifications does not remove activity cards. Sony’s Control Center customization directions cover control icons, and note that some icons cannot be hidden; they do not document a setting to remove activity cards globally. If your goal is specifically to clear those cards, the documented notification settings do not provide that option.
