Start by identifying what has actually failed: the TV may be unable to reach the router, the router may be offline, or the TV may be online while only Art Store content is unavailable. Open Network Status on The Frame and test another device on the same network. That combination shows whether you have a local Wi‑Fi problem, an internet-service problem, or an Art Mode/account/content issue. Work through router checks and a TV network reset before considering a factory reset, because a factory reset erases the television’s settings.
Identify the failure before changing settings
The same symptom—an empty Art Store, a missing artwork row, or an error message—can have different causes. First classify the problem into one of these states:
| What you observe | What to check first | Most likely area |
|---|---|---|
| The TV cannot join your wireless network | Network Status and whether another device can join the same router | TV Wi‑Fi settings, signal, password, router restrictions, or interference |
| The TV joins Wi‑Fi but reports no internet | Whether phones or computers on that router can reach the internet | Router-to-internet link or an internet-service outage |
| The TV is online, but Art Store or ART content will not load | Samsung Account sign-in and whether the problem affects all content or one row | Account, service availability, subscription, or an individual content row |
| Only personal-photo or older ART rows are missing | ART menu locations and current service availability | A feature or content change rather than your Wi‑Fi connection |
On The Frame, Network Status depicts the connection between the television, the router, and the internet. If the TV-to-router segment fails, concentrate on the local wireless connection. If the TV reaches the router but the router-to-internet segment fails, the television may be working normally while the router, modem, or internet provider is unavailable. Test another device on the same network before changing TV settings; if several devices are offline, troubleshooting the television alone will not restore service.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsAlso note the exact wording of any message and whether the failure began after a router change, password change, software update, move, or factory reset. A changed wireless name or password can leave the TV trying to use an obsolete saved network. A feature update, by contrast, can remove a row while leaving every network function healthy. Recording those details makes the later support conversation much more efficient.

Repair a Frame that cannot connect to Wi‑Fi
1. Confirm the router is operating
Check that the router has power and that its cables are firmly connected. Try opening a website or online service on a phone or computer using the same network. If those devices also fail, resolve the router or internet connection first.
Restart the router by unplugging its power for about one minute, reconnecting it, and waiting for its normal connection lights or status to return. Then retry the TV connection. This restart is reversible and does not erase the TV’s settings. If the router uses a separate modem or fiber terminal, check that device’s power and cabling as well.
2. Read Network Status instead of guessing
Open the television’s Network Status screen and note where the connection stops. A TV-to-router failure directs you toward the saved network, signal strength, wireless compatibility, or router access controls. A router-to-internet failure indicates that the local Wi‑Fi association succeeded but internet access did not.
Use the result to choose the next action rather than repeatedly entering the password. Repeating a password attempt cannot repair an internet outage, and changing DNS cannot make a TV that is not associating with the router reach the web. If Network Status changes after the router restart, test an app or Art Mode again rather than assuming the first error message is still current.
3. Improve the wireless link
Samsung recommends moving the router closer to the television or clearing obstructions when the wireless signal is weak. Large distances, walls, cabinets, and interference can reduce the reliability of the connection. If a wired run is available, Ethernet is an optional stable connection for the TV; it is not required to diagnose the Wi‑Fi problem.
When other devices work but The Frame does not, try the network-specific checks documented by Samsung Gulf:
- Verify that the TV is selecting the intended network and that the saved password is current.
- Inspect the TV’s reported wireless signal.
- Consider incorrect IP or DNS settings as a possible cause.
- Check whether the router restricts new devices through MAC filtering or another access-control rule.
- Look for outdated router or TV software.
- Reduce nearby wireless interference where practical.
- If the 5 GHz signal has limited range, test the router’s 2.4 GHz network. This is an option for a range problem, not a universal requirement; 5 GHz may still be preferable when its signal is strong.
Do not change advanced IP or DNS values at random. First record the current values or use the TV’s automatic network configuration. If a managed or restricted network is involved, the router administrator may need to allow the TV’s hardware address. Hotel, campus, office, and guest networks can also impose sign-in or device limits that a television cannot complete in the same way as a phone.

4. Reset only the TV’s network configuration
After router and signal checks, reset the network settings on the television and reconnect. Samsung’s Canada support flow places the reset under the TV’s Connection > Network menu, although labels and locations differ by model and software generation.

- Open the TV’s network settings and choose the network-reset option.
- Confirm the reset when prompted.
- Return to the wireless-network list.
- Select your router’s network name.
- Enter the Wi‑Fi password carefully and wait for the connection test.
- Open Network Status again to verify whether the TV reaches the router and the internet.
A network reset removes the TV’s saved network information, so other TV settings remain intact but you must enter the wireless details again. If the path on your set does not match, use the printed manual or the model-specific e‑Manual; Samsung changes menu names between models and smart-menu versions. Have the current Wi‑Fi password available before starting, and wait for the connection test to finish instead of turning off the set midway.
5. Install available TV software updates
Samsung’s Caribbean guidance includes checking for television software updates as part of network troubleshooting and warns that menu labels vary by model and smart-menu version. Open the software-update section shown in your model’s manual or e‑Manual, install an offered update, and allow the TV to restart completely before testing Wi‑Fi again. Do not assume that a path shown for another Frame generation will be identical to yours. If the TV cannot get online at all, note that limitation for support rather than repeatedly attempting an update that requires internet access.
6. Keep a factory reset as the last TV-side step
A factory reset is not the same as a network reset. Samsung presents it as a later step after network troubleshooting because it erases the television’s settings and requires setup and internet reconnection again. It can remove saved preferences, account information, picture settings, and other customizations. Use it only after the router, Network Status diagnosis, network reset, reconnection, and software-update checks have failed, and make sure you know the account credentials and setup details you will need afterward.

Check internet access and the Samsung Account
Art Mode’s network-based functions require both connectivity and an account. Samsung’s support wording is: A Samsung Account and internet connection are required.
Confirm in Network Status that the TV is online, then check that the intended Samsung Account is signed in. If the TV was recently reset, sold, moved, or used by another household member, the account state may have changed even though Wi‑Fi still works.
Subscription enrollment is handled in the TV’s Art Store membership menu. Follow the membership option presented on your model rather than assuming that a subscription purchased or managed elsewhere is already active on the television. Menu names can vary by model and software release. If the TV shows an account prompt, verify the account address and complete the sign-in flow on the television; do not treat a missing subscription row as proof of a network failure.
Separate an Art Store outage from a missing row
Determine whether the entire Art Store fails to load or whether a particular ART row has disappeared. A complete loading failure after the account and internet checks points toward a service or software problem. A single missing row may be intentional: Samsung states that some rows and third-party entries are no longer accessible after feature updates.
Samsung specifically identifies My Photo Album items, Complimentary content, and certain third-party apps in More On as examples of content that may no longer be available. Their disappearance is not proof that your Wi‑Fi hardware is defective. Before resetting the TV, check the current locations for the content you actually want. Availability can also differ by country or by the TV’s release year, so screenshots or instructions for another region may describe rows you cannot see.
Find personal photos that are still supported
Personal photos remain available through ART > My Art Store > My Photos and Favorites, according to Samsung’s current Art Mode guidance. If you are looking for your own images, inspect those locations rather than relying on an older row name that may have been removed.

Free online artwork is listed under ART > Art Streams. Samsung says this row carries approximately 30 free artworks monthly, based on its 2026 information. The selection and even the availability of a feature can vary by country or by TV release year, so a row shown in another region’s instructions may not appear on your set. The monthly figure describes the Art Streams offering; it is not a promise that every Frame model or region will show the same catalog at the same time.
Display photos without the Art Store
Use SmartThings for a network-based photo transfer
Samsung documents SmartThings as a way to display personal photos in Art Mode. This still depends on the TV having internet access and on the required Samsung Account sign-in. If the TV is offline, SmartThings cannot substitute for repairing the network connection; use the Wi‑Fi procedure above first. Once the TV is online and associated with the intended account, follow the SmartThings photo workflow shown for your model and confirm that the image is saved to the TV’s collection rather than merely viewed temporarily in the app.
Import photos from a USB drive
A USB storage device connected to The Frame’s One Connect Box provides an offline method for adding personal images. It is a display workaround, not a repair for Wi‑Fi and not a way to reopen unavailable Art Store services.
- Copy the photos you want to display to a compatible USB storage device.
- Connect the USB device to The Frame’s One Connect Box.
- Enter Art Mode and open My Collection.
- Select the connected USB device.
- Choose Save.
- Choose Save Selected after marking the images you want to import.
Once the images are saved to the TV’s collection, you can use them in Art Mode without depending on an Art Store row. The USB process does not change the TV’s network state, restore subscription artwork, or bring back rows that Samsung has discontinued. If the TV does not list the drive, reseat it and confirm that the device is connected to the One Connect Box as described in the model guide; do not interpret a USB-menu issue as proof that Wi‑Fi has failed.
Choose the next step from the symptom
| Symptom and evidence | Next step | What the step can and cannot do |
|---|---|---|
| Other devices are offline | Restart the router and investigate the router-to-internet connection | Can restore shared internet access; does not change TV settings |
| Only The Frame fails to reach the router | Check password, signal, restrictions, interference, and then reset the TV network | Addresses local TV/network configuration; does not fix an ISP outage |
| The TV reaches the router but not the internet | Check router internet service, IP/DNS configuration, and software | Distinguishes upstream service trouble from a wireless association problem |
| The TV is online but the Art Store asks for access | Verify Samsung Account sign-in and Art Store membership status | Addresses account and subscription requirements; does not restore discontinued rows |
| Only older ART rows are absent | Check My Photos, Favorites, and Art Streams | Finds current locations; cannot restore content Samsung has removed |
| You need a photo on screen while online services are unavailable | Import it through SmartThings when online or USB when offline | Displays personal photos; does not repair Wi‑Fi or Art Store service |
| All documented checks fail | Contact Samsung Support with the TV model number and region | Moves the case to model-specific diagnosis and service |
When to contact Samsung Support
Escalate after you have checked another device, restarted the router, read Network Status, addressed signal or access-control issues, reset and reconnected the TV network, and checked for software updates. Samsung directs owners who still cannot connect after those steps to Samsung Support. Use the support site for your country and have the exact Frame model number available; regional menus, service availability, and instructions can differ.
When contacting support, describe the point of failure shown in Network Status, whether other devices work on the same router, whether the TV is signed into a Samsung Account, and whether the missing item is a personal photo, an Art Store subscription item, or a particular ART row. Those details prevent a content-availability issue from being treated as a hardware Wi‑Fi fault. Include the software version if the menu provides it, the date the symptom began, and whether a router restart or network reset changed anything.
What the evidence does—and does not—establish
Samsung’s support material documents the diagnostic screens, router and network-reset sequence, account and internet prerequisites, current Art Mode locations, and USB photo-import procedure. It does not provide an independent failure rate or a measured success percentage for any reset. A network reset is therefore a sensible reversible troubleshooting step, not a guaranteed cure. Likewise, the approximately 30 free artworks monthly figure applies to Samsung’s 2026 Art Streams description and may vary by country or release year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why will my Samsung The Frame not connect to Wi‑Fi?
First check whether another phone or computer can use the same router. Open Network Status to see whether the break is between the TV and router or between the router and internet. Then verify the saved network and password, improve signal placement, check router restrictions such as MAC filtering, and try the 2.4 GHz band if 5 GHz range is weak. Reset the TV’s network and reconnect only after those checks.

The TV connects to Wi‑Fi but says there is no internet. What does that mean?
Network Status distinguishes a successful TV-to-router connection from a failed router-to-internet connection. Test another device on the router, restart the router and modem or internet terminal, and check for an ISP outage. Changing the TV password will not fix an upstream outage. If other devices work, review IP/DNS settings and software, then reset and reconnect the TV network.
Why is the Art Store not loading even though Wi‑Fi works?
Confirm that Network Status shows internet access and that the correct Samsung Account is signed in. Samsung states that a Samsung Account and internet connection are required for network-based Art Mode functions. Check membership in the TV’s Art Store membership menu. If only one row is absent, it may have been removed or changed rather than caused by a Wi‑Fi fault.
Why did My Photo Album, Complimentary, or More On content disappear?
Samsung says some My Photo Album items, Complimentary content, and certain third-party entries in More On are no longer accessible after feature updates. Check ART > My Art Store > My Photos and Favorites for personal images, and ART > Art Streams for free online artwork. Availability can vary by country and TV release year.

Samsung’s 2026 information describes approximately 30 free artworks monthly in the Art Streams row. That figure is approximate, and the catalog or row may vary by country or by the TV’s release year. It should not be used as a guarantee that every Frame displays the same selection.
Can I use SmartThings if the TV is offline?
SmartThings is a network-based method and requires internet access and the required Samsung Account sign-in. It cannot repair a disconnected TV. Restore connectivity first, then use the SmartThings workflow documented for your model to send and save personal photos.
Can a USB drive fix the Art Store?
No. Samsung documents USB import as an offline way to display personal photos. Connect the drive to The Frame’s One Connect Box, open Art Mode > My Collection, select the USB device, choose Save, and then Save Selected. This does not restore Wi‑Fi, subscriptions, or discontinued online rows.
Should I factory-reset The Frame when Art content is missing?
Not as a first step. A factory reset erases TV settings and requires setup and internet reconnection. First determine whether the TV is online, verify the Samsung Account and membership, check current ART locations, reset only the network if necessary, and install available software updates. Reserve a factory reset for later troubleshooting and prepare your credentials before using it.

Samsung menu labels vary by model, software generation, and smart-menu version. Use the printed manual or model-specific e‑Manual to locate Network Status, network reset, software update, Art Store membership, and My Collection. Regional service availability and ART rows can also differ.
When should I contact Samsung Support?
Contact Samsung after testing another device, restarting the router, checking Network Status, addressing signal or access controls, resetting and reconnecting the TV network, and checking software updates. Use the support site for your country and provide the exact Frame model number, region, Network Status failure point, account state, and the specific missing content.
The Bottom Line
Use Network Status to identify the break, test another device, restart the router, and reset only The Frame’s network before considering a factory reset. If the TV is online but Art content is missing, check the Samsung Account, membership menu, current ART locations, and regional availability. SmartThings and USB can display personal photos, but neither restores Wi‑Fi or discontinued Art Store services.
