“Transfer your progress” can mean two different things in The Crew Motorfest. If you are moving from The Crew 2, use Import My Collection to bring eligible vehicles and vanities into Motorfest. If you are moving an existing Motorfest save to another platform, use cross-progression by signing in with the same Ubisoft account.

These systems are separate. Collection Import is a free, one-way transfer from The Crew 2 and cannot be undone after it completes. Motorfest cross-progression is automatic on supported platforms, but store purchases generally remain tied to the platform store where they were bought.

Choose the transfer that matches your goal

Use this distinction before opening the game. Choosing the wrong feature can leave you looking for an option that does not apply to your situation.

Your goal Feature What it does Important limitation
Bring your older The Crew 2 garage into Motorfest Collection Import Copies eligible vehicles and vanities from a The Crew 2 save into Motorfest. It is free and one-way, cannot be reversed after completion, and does not copy performance parts.
Continue an existing Motorfest game on another platform Cross-progression and cross-save Uses your Ubisoft account so Motorfest progression can be used on supported platforms. Content bought through another platform’s store is not generally shared.

Ubisoft describes Motorfest cross-progression as automatic between supported platforms when the same Ubisoft account is used. That statement does not mean that every purchase entitlement or every feature is available on every device. Collection Import moves a garage from The Crew 2; cross-progression lets an existing Motorfest save follow your account. They are different operations with different limits.

How to import your collection from The Crew 2

Collection Import is the route for transferring eligible garage content from The Crew 2. Ubisoft says the import is free. It moves content in one direction only: from The Crew 2 to The Crew Motorfest. It is not a save-file download, a performance-part transfer, or a way to move Motorfest progress back into The Crew 2.

Check the account before launching Motorfest

The Motorfest session must use the same Ubisoft account associated with the The Crew 2 save. Account identity is the key requirement; owning both games on the same console family is not enough if the saves are attached to different Ubisoft accounts.

  • Identify the Ubisoft account that your The Crew 2 save uses.
  • Sign in to that exact account when starting Motorfest.
  • Do not create or select a different Ubisoft account simply because you are playing on a new platform.
  • If you have more than one Ubisoft account, check the account name carefully before accepting any import prompt.

If the accounts do not match, Motorfest cannot find the collection you intend to import. Resolve the account issue before confirming an import rather than accepting an empty or unexpected collection. Because the completed operation cannot be undone, account verification is more important than getting through the opening sequence quickly.

Import during the first Motorfest launch

  1. Start The Crew Motorfest while signed in to the Ubisoft account linked to your The Crew 2 save.
  2. When the game presents the collection choice, select Import My Collection.
  3. Review the confirmation information, including the account and collection shown.
  4. Allow the import to complete before treating the Motorfest profile as your final setup.

The import decision is consequential. Ubisoft’s guidance says that once the collection has been imported, the operation cannot be undone. Treat the confirmation as a permanent choice for that Motorfest profile. If you are undecided, there is no need to force a decision during the first launch; choose Start From Scratch and use the later menu path described below.

Import after choosing Start From Scratch

You do not have to decide on the first launch. If you select Start From Scratch, Ubisoft allows you to begin the import later:

  1. Open the Motorfest main menu.
  2. Choose Options.
  3. Open Game Settings.
  4. Select Import My Collection.
  5. Confirm the import only after checking that the displayed Ubisoft account is the one tied to your The Crew 2 save.

Deferring the choice preserves the option to import later. It does not make a completed import reversible. Starting from scratch is therefore a delay, not a second account or a trial import. You can play Motorfest first, decide that you want the older collection, and then return to this menu. Once you confirm the actual import, however, Ubisoft does not provide an undo or rollback.

What Collection Import brings over

Ubisoft’s collection-import guidance separates eligible garage items from upgrade materials. The practical result is that your imported collection is not a complete copy of every object attached to your The Crew 2 account.

Content type Import result Condition
Vehicles Eligible vehicles can be imported. The vehicle must be available in both games.
Vanities Eligible vanities can be imported. The vanity must be available in both games.
Performance parts Not imported. Plan to earn or obtain Motorfest performance parts separately.

In practical terms, Collection Import can give you a familiar vehicle roster and compatible visual items, but it does not reproduce the tuned state of your The Crew 2 garage. Performance parts are excluded, so imported vehicles may need Motorfest upgrades before they handle as you expect. Do not interpret the appearance of a vehicle in your collection as proof that its old parts, ratings or upgrade inventory also moved.

Why a vehicle may not appear

Eligibility depends on availability in both titles. A vehicle that exists in The Crew 2 may not yet be usable in Motorfest, so it will not be part of the current import. Ubisoft’s support information also says additional vehicles may be added to Motorfest later. That means a missing vehicle is not automatically evidence that the account link failed; it may simply not meet the cross-game availability rule at the time of import.

A later addition to Motorfest does not mean that an old import automatically becomes reversible or that you can repeat the process as a refresh. The safe expectation is to import the items eligible at confirmation time and check Motorfest’s current vehicle availability. If an item is not available in both games, repeating the menu command cannot force it into the collection.

Because the operation is one-way, do not treat Collection Import as a temporary preview. Import only when you are comfortable with the items that are currently eligible and with rebuilding performance upgrades in Motorfest. The import is free, so cost is not the reason to postpone it; the irreversible decision and the content limits are the reasons to pause and check.

Which platforms support Collection Import?

Ubisoft’s 2023 collection-import FAQ lists PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. That list predates the Nintendo Switch 2 release, so it should not be read as proof that the feature works on every newer platform.

Ubisoft’s October 2026 Nintendo Switch 2 FAQ makes the current exception explicit: Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save are supported on Switch 2, but The Crew 2 Collection Import is not available on Switch 2. If Switch 2 is your target platform, you cannot use the in-game import route to bring over your The Crew 2 garage there.

This distinction matters when planning a move. A player can have an eligible The Crew 2 collection and still be unable to import it on Switch 2. That limitation does not imply that Motorfest itself has no account synchronization on Switch 2; it applies specifically to the Collection Import feature.

How Motorfest cross-progression works between platforms

Cross-progression applies when the progress you want to continue was already made in The Crew Motorfest. It is not a second way to import a The Crew 2 collection. If you have played Motorfest on one platform and now want to continue on another supported platform, the account connection is the central requirement.

Sign in with the same Ubisoft account

  1. Install or launch Motorfest on the other supported platform.
  2. Sign in with the Ubisoft account used for your existing Motorfest progress.
  3. Allow the game to connect and synchronize before starting a new profile.
  4. Load your existing Motorfest save rather than creating a separate account profile.

Ubisoft Help describes this as automatic cross-progression between supported platforms. There is no separate Collection Import menu for this process. If the expected progress is absent, stop before creating new progress under a different Ubisoft account. Starting a new profile while signed into the wrong account can make the situation harder to diagnose because you may then be looking at a newly created save rather than the existing one.

Cross-progression and cross-save describe the same practical expectation here: your Motorfest progression is associated with the Ubisoft account and can be continued on supported platforms. It does not promise that every platform-store entitlement is account-wide, and it does not change which versions of a title you own.

Content that Ubisoft says can be shared

Ubisoft’s current cross-platform content-sharing guidance lists the following as shareable through the account-based system:

  • Earned Bucks
  • Crew Credits
  • Cosmetics
  • Liveries
  • Prestige Tickets
  • Vanities
  • Vehicles

This list describes content sharing within Motorfest. It does not change the separate rules for importing a The Crew 2 collection, and it does not turn a platform-store purchase into a universal entitlement. “Shareable” should be read alongside the same-account requirement and the supported-platform requirement.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

If you are checking a new platform after signing in, compare earned currencies, vehicles and customization items first. A difference in store-bought content is not necessarily a failed save synchronization. Keep earned progression and purchased entitlements as separate troubleshooting categories.

What does not follow you between platform stores

Content purchased through an in-game or platform store is not shared across platforms in the same way as earned progression. The purchase may remain associated with the store on which it was made. Consequently, seeing your vehicles or earned currency on a second platform does not guarantee that an item bought on the first platform will be available there.

This is why buying a second copy or moving to another console does not automatically reproduce every paid item. Motorfest can synchronize account-based progress while the storefront still controls the entitlement for a purchase. Check the destination platform’s entitlement rules instead of assuming that a missing purchase means the save itself failed.

The Switch 2 cross-progression exception

As of Ubisoft’s October 2026 Switch 2 FAQ, Motorfest supports cross-progression and cross-save on Switch 2. You can therefore continue eligible Motorfest progress there by using the same Ubisoft account.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The purchase rule is narrower than the progression rule. Ubisoft specifically says purchases made through another platform’s store do not transfer to Switch 2, including purchases made through Xbox, PlayStation, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store or Steam. Do not assume that a game, vehicle or cosmetic bought on one of those storefronts will be unlocked on Switch 2 simply because your earned Motorfest progress appears there.

Switch 2 also does not support importing a The Crew 2 collection. These are two independent limitations: cross-save works, while Collection Import does not. If your plan is “move my Motorfest save to Switch 2,” use the same Ubisoft account. If your plan is “bring my The Crew 2 garage to Motorfest on Switch 2,” Ubisoft’s current guidance says that route is unavailable.

Cost, ownership and what you actually need

Ubisoft says Collection Import is free. You do not need to buy a transfer token, an upgrade package or a special service to activate it. The requirement is access to Motorfest on the destination platform and the correct Ubisoft account linked to the relevant save.

Cross-progression is also an account feature rather than a separately purchased transfer service. You still need access to Motorfest on the platform where you want to play, and store rules can affect which purchased items are recognized there. Do not buy a second copy solely to make a save transfer happen if you already have the appropriate access; the transfer mechanism itself is tied to the Ubisoft account and supported-platform rules.

Troubleshooting the most common transfer problems

The Import My Collection option is missing

  • Confirm that you are looking in the main menu under Options > Game Settings, not in a general console account menu.
  • Check that Motorfest is signed in to the Ubisoft account tied to the The Crew 2 save.
  • Check whether you are playing on Switch 2, where Ubisoft says Collection Import is unavailable.
  • If you already completed an import, the operation cannot be started again as an undo or rollback.
  • If you chose Start From Scratch at launch, remember that the feature is available later through the menu rather than only during the opening sequence.

The game shows the wrong collection

Do not confirm the import while the wrong collection is displayed. The most likely issue to verify first is the Ubisoft account. Sign out only through the supported account-management flow, then return with the account that owns the intended The Crew 2 save. Since imports are irreversible, guessing at the confirmation screen can create a permanent result on the wrong profile.

My performance parts are gone

This is expected under Ubisoft’s import rules: performance parts are not transferred. Collection Import covers eligible vehicles and vanities, while performance upgrades must be handled within Motorfest. A vehicle arriving without the old parts is therefore not, by itself, evidence of a failed import.

A vehicle is missing after import

Check whether that vehicle is available in Motorfest as well as The Crew 2. Ubisoft says eligibility requires availability in both games and notes that more vehicles may be added later. A vehicle absent from the current Motorfest roster cannot be forced into the import by repeating the process. Confirm the account first, then check cross-game availability before treating the result as an account problem.

My Motorfest progress appears on one platform but not another

  • Verify that both sessions use exactly the same Ubisoft account.
  • Make sure you are loading Motorfest’s existing save instead of starting a new account profile.
  • Allow the destination session to connect and synchronize before judging the result.
  • Separate earned content from store purchases when checking what is missing.
  • If the destination is Switch 2, remember that cross-progression is supported but purchases from other platform stores are not transferred.

I expected The Crew 2 progress, but only Motorfest progress appears

Cross-progression does not import a The Crew 2 garage. Use Collection Import for eligible vehicles and vanities from that game. Conversely, Collection Import is not the method for moving a Motorfest save between platforms. Identify which game contains the progress you are trying to move before changing account settings.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Decide before you confirm

Use this final checklist immediately before making a transfer decision:

  • Moving from The Crew 2: choose Import My Collection, use the same Ubisoft account, and expect only eligible vehicles and vanities.
  • Starting fresh for now: choose Start From Scratch; you can later open Options > Game Settings > Import My Collection.
  • Checking the price: Collection Import is free; there is no transfer purchase to add.
  • Already imported: understand that Ubisoft does not provide an undo for the completed import.
  • Moving Motorfest to another platform: sign in with the same Ubisoft account and let cross-progression synchronize.
  • Checking purchases: treat store-bought content separately from earned progress, especially when moving to Switch 2.
  • Using Switch 2: cross-progression and cross-save work, but The Crew 2 Collection Import does not.
  • Missing a vehicle: check whether it is available in both games before assuming the account link failed.
  • Missing performance parts: expect to rebuild or obtain them in Motorfest because they are excluded from Collection Import.

The correct procedure therefore depends on the source of your progress: Collection Import for a The Crew 2 garage, or account-based cross-progression for an existing Motorfest save. Verify the Ubisoft account first, separate earned content from store purchases, and remember that a completed collection import is permanent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I transfer my The Crew 2 progress to The Crew Motorfest?

You can import eligible vehicles and vanities from The Crew 2 with Collection Import. The import is free, uses the same Ubisoft account as your The Crew 2 save, works one way only, and does not transfer performance parts.

Can I import my collection after choosing Start From Scratch?

Yes. Open the Motorfest main menu and choose Options > Game Settings > Import My Collection. You can defer the decision, but an import that has completed cannot be undone.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Is The Crew Motorfest Collection Import free?

Yes. Ubisoft says the Collection Import feature is free. You need access to Motorfest and the correct Ubisoft account, not a separate transfer purchase.

Why are my The Crew 2 performance parts missing?

Performance parts are not included in Collection Import. Eligible vehicles and vanities can move, but performance upgrades must be earned or obtained separately in Motorfest.

Can I transfer Motorfest progress to another console or PC?

Motorfest supports automatic cross-progression on supported platforms when you sign in with the same Ubisoft account. Load the existing Motorfest save rather than creating a new profile.

Do purchased vehicles and cosmetics transfer between platforms?

Not generally. Earned Bucks, Crew Credits, cosmetics, liveries, Prestige Tickets, vanities and vehicles can be shared through the account system, while content bought through an in-game or platform store may remain tied to that store.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Does The Crew 2 Collection Import work on Nintendo Switch 2?

No. Ubisoft’s October 2026 Switch 2 FAQ says Motorfest cross-progression and cross-save are supported, but The Crew 2 Collection Import is not available on Switch 2.

Can I undo a completed Collection Import?

No. Ubisoft says the import cannot be undone after it is completed. Check the Ubisoft account and the displayed collection before confirming.

The Bottom Line

Use Import My Collection to bring eligible The Crew 2 vehicles and vanities into Motorfest; it is free, one-way, excludes performance parts and cannot be reversed. Use Motorfest cross-progression to continue an existing Motorfest save on another supported platform with the same Ubisoft account. Switch 2 supports that cross-save feature but not The Crew 2 Collection Import, and platform-store purchases may not follow you.
