Use Vivo EasyShare’s Phone Clone feature for the main migration. Open EasyShare on both phones, set the old handset as Old phone, set the new Vivo as New phone, pair them by scanning the QR code, choose the data to copy, and start the transfer. If the old phone has a screen lock, keep its PIN, password, or pattern available. For a few files, EasyShare’s separate Send/Accept function is faster; for a computer-based backup, use EasyShare on PC, remembering that Vivo’s documented PC method does not back up encrypted data.
Which transfer method should you use?
Your best option depends on how much you need to move and what kind of source phone you have. Vivo documents three related EasyShare workflows:

The rest of this guide covers Phone Clone first, because it is the documented route for moving information from one phone to another.
Prepare both phones before pairing
Keep the old phone available
Do not erase or trade in the old phone until you have checked the new Vivo. Keep both devices charged, unlocked, and close together while you work. The QR-code pairing happens on the phones, and Vivo may ask for the old phone’s screen-lock credential before the transfer can continue.

Protect anything already on the new Vivo
Review the new phone before starting. If it already contains photos, messages, downloads, or app information you cannot lose, make a separate copy first. Phone Clone is designed to place selected information on the destination; data belonging to the same apps can be overwritten when the transfer finishes.
Update your expectations about apps
A transfer can copy app-related information without completing the installation of every app. Vivo warns that permission restrictions may prevent transferred apps from installing automatically. Plan to check the destination afterward rather than assuming that every app icon will be ready to open.
Allow for model and region differences
EasyShare labels and available categories can differ between Vivo models, Funtouch OS or other regional software editions, app versions, and countries. If a label on your phone is slightly different from the wording below, choose the equivalent Old phone, New phone, Phone Clone, Send, Accept, Backup, or Restore option. Do not infer that an option is available merely because another Vivo model shows it.

Transfer from an Android phone to a new Vivo with Phone Clone
1. Open EasyShare on both phones
- On the old Android phone, open EasyShare.
- On the new Vivo, open EasyShare as well.
- Choose the Phone Clone function if EasyShare presents more than one transfer option.
If EasyShare is not visible, look through the phone’s installed apps or system search. The exact way to launch a preinstalled app varies by model. For a non-Vivo source phone, Vivo’s instructions require EasyShare to be installed on that source device before the transfer.
2. Assign the device roles
- On the old phone, select Old phone.
- On the new Vivo, select New phone.
Choosing the roles correctly matters: the old device provides the data and the new Vivo receives it. If you accidentally select the opposite role, back out and restart the role selection before pairing.

3. Pair with the QR code
- The old phone generates a QR code as part of the Phone Clone setup.
- On the new Vivo, follow the prompt to select the old phone type, choosing Android when that choice appears.
- Use the new Vivo to scan the QR code displayed on the old phone.
The phones use this QR step to establish the transfer connection. Vivo’s materials do not establish a universal internet requirement for Phone Clone. If your particular model displays a connectivity permission or network prompt, read and accept only the permissions needed for the transfer and follow the on-screen instruction.
4. Authorize the old phone if prompted
When a screen lock is enabled, Vivo may request the old phone’s PIN, password, or other unlock credential. Enter it on the old phone. This is a security check; it is not a request to remove the screen lock permanently.
5. Select what to copy
The old phone displays the data-selection screen. Review the categories and individual selections shown by your version of EasyShare. The available list is not established as identical across every Vivo model or region, so use the categories actually presented on your devices rather than assuming that a particular type of content is supported.
Before continuing, remove selections you do not need. A smaller transfer is easier to verify and leaves less unwanted material on the new phone. Pay particular attention to any category that could collide with information already present on the Vivo.
6. Start the transfer and leave both phones alone
- Confirm the selection on the old phone and start the transfer.
- Keep both phones nearby and do not close EasyShare while the progress screen is active.
- Wait for EasyShare to report completion before disconnecting, restarting, or resetting either phone.
The time required depends on the amount and type of data selected. Vivo does not publish a single duration that applies to every device, so an estimate shown by your phone is more useful than a generic promise.

Transfer from an iPhone to a Vivo
Install EasyShare on the iPhone first
Vivo’s manual describes an iPhone source as a supported setup, but says EasyShare should be installed on the iPhone before transferring. Complete that installation before opening the clone flow on the Vivo.
Use the iPhone as the old phone
- Open EasyShare on the iPhone and choose Old phone.
- Open EasyShare on the Vivo and choose New phone.
- On the Vivo, select iPhone as the old-phone type when prompted.
- Scan the QR code shown by the old phone with the new Vivo.
- Review the data categories that EasyShare offers, select the items you want, and start the transfer.
The documented setup confirms that an iPhone can be used as the source, but it does not promise complete content parity with an Android-to-Vivo move. In particular, do not assume that every iPhone app, protected database, account token, or app-specific record will appear in an installable or usable form on Android. Treat the selection screen as the authoritative list for your model and EasyShare version.
What to check after Phone Clone finishes
Verify the information that matters most
- Open the gallery or file locations where your most important photos and videos should appear.
- Check contacts, calendars, messages, and documents if those categories were offered and selected.
- Open several transferred files rather than checking only that filenames exist.
- Launch the apps you rely on and sign in again where the app requests authentication.
Install apps that remain pending
Vivo warns that permissions can prevent transferred apps from installing automatically. Its regional instructions direct users to look under Files > Apps and install the transferred apps manually. The exact Files layout can vary, so use the equivalent Apps area shown on your Vivo. If an app is not listed there, obtain it through the normal app store or the app developer’s supported Android distribution, and restore its data using that service’s own sign-in or backup process.
Account for destination data being replaced
Vivo’s manual states that data for the same apps on the new phone will be overwritten when the transfer completes. This is why the pre-transfer review matters: decide whether the old phone’s copy should replace the destination copy before you press Start. If you need both versions, export or back up the destination information separately instead of relying on Phone Clone to merge them.
Keep the old phone until verification is complete
Leave the old phone intact until you have opened the files and apps you care about and confirmed that your accounts, authentication methods, and cloud services work on the Vivo. Phone Clone is a migration aid, not proof that every app’s internal state has been reproduced.

Send only selected files with EasyShare
When you need to move a folder of photos, a document, or a few videos rather than perform a broad migration, use EasyShare’s separate Send and Accept functions.
- Open EasyShare on both phones.
- On the phone that has the files, choose Send.
- Select the files you want to transmit.
- On the receiving Vivo, choose Accept.
- Complete the pairing and save the received files in the destination shown by EasyShare.
This route is useful for a second, targeted transfer after Phone Clone or for a new Vivo that you have already configured. It does not establish that contacts, messages, app databases, or other phone-wide information will move in the same way as Phone Clone.

When the computer workflow makes sense
A computer can be useful when you want an intermediate backup, need to preserve files before resetting a phone, or cannot keep both phones paired for a direct clone. Vivo documents EasyShare on PC with either a USB connection or Wi-Fi connection.
Basic backup and restore sequence
- Install or open the EasyShare PC application supported for your Vivo software edition.
- Connect the phone using the connection method offered by the PC application: USB or Wi-Fi.
- Choose the PC application’s Backup function and select the information it offers.
- Store the backup on the computer, then safely disconnect the source phone.
- Connect the new Vivo to EasyShare on PC and choose Restore.
- Review the restore selection and let the process finish before disconnecting.
Menu names and pairing prompts can change with the PC application and phone software, so follow the labels displayed by your installation. Vivo specifically states that encrypted data is not backed up through this PC method. If an item is encrypted or protected by an app, use that app’s own export, cloud backup, or account-based restore process instead.

Troubleshoot a failed or incomplete transfer
The QR code will not scan
- Confirm that the old phone is showing the QR code generated by EasyShare, not a code from another screen.
- Confirm that the new Vivo is in the New phone flow and is set to the correct source type.
- Increase the screen brightness on the phone displaying the code and hold the devices steady.
- Close and reopen EasyShare on both phones, then create a fresh pairing code.
EasyShare asks for a password or PIN
Enter the old phone’s screen-lock credential. Vivo documents this prompt when a screen lock is enabled. Do not guess repeatedly; use the credential that unlocks the old phone normally.
The transfer stops or appears stuck
- Keep both phones charged and close together.
- Do not switch to another app or allow either phone to restart while the transfer is running.
- Retry with a smaller selection to identify whether one category or file is causing the interruption.
- Check that both phones are using the intended EasyShare role and that the source phone still has the original data.
Apps are missing on the Vivo
Check Files > Apps for transferred installers and install them manually where available. Some apps may still require a fresh store installation, a new sign-in, or the app provider’s own restore process.
The data you need is not offered for selection
Do not assume that an unlisted category will be copied invisibly. Vivo’s public FAQ pages raise questions about transferable categories, app data, iPhone app data, file-size limits, merging, and network use, but the answer text for those questions is not available in the material reviewed here. The practical conclusion is to treat the categories displayed by your specific EasyShare version as the supported set and use an app-specific export or cloud backup for anything absent.

Encrypted data is excluded from Vivo’s documented PC backup method. Return to the original app or service and use its supported backup and restore mechanism; a repeated PC restore will not make encrypted content appear.
Final migration checklist
- Both phones are charged, unlocked, and within reach.
- EasyShare is open on both devices with the old/new roles assigned correctly.
- The new Vivo is set to Android or iPhone according to the source phone.
- The QR code has been scanned by the new Vivo.
- The old phone’s screen-lock credential is available.
- You reviewed the available categories and removed selections you do not need.
- You checked the new Vivo for existing information that must be preserved before transferring matching app data.
- You waited for the completion message before disconnecting either phone.
- You verified important files and opened key apps.
- You manually installed any apps left under Files > Apps and signed in again where necessary.
- You kept the old phone until verification was finished.
What Vivo’s instructions do—and do not—guarantee
Vivo’s documented process clearly establishes the Phone Clone sequence: old and new device roles, QR pairing, source-type selection for Android or iPhone, data selection, and transfer. It also documents manual app installation as a possible follow-up, warns about overwriting matching app data, and provides separate file-transfer and PC backup/restore workflows.
It does not establish one universal list of transferable categories or guarantee that every app’s private data, iPhone content, encrypted information, or account session will migrate. Those outcomes depend on the model, software and EasyShare versions, region, source platform, and the individual app. Use the on-screen selection list and each app’s own backup tools for anything that is not explicitly offered.
