“Transfer crafting” in Aion 2 can mean two different actions. The in-game Transfer Crafting feature moves selected equipment progression into an eligible target item. A server transfer moves your character, Crafting Records and qualifying character-held items to another server. It does not use the same rules, and neither system guarantees that every material, stat or modification will move unchanged.
Use the distinction below before spending materials or buying a transfer item. The Transfer Crafting rules described by the current crafting guide were verified on July 24, 2026, while server-transfer terms in the official notice dated October 9, 2026 can change with the region, transfer window and server capacity. Confirm the final result in the current client before accepting either operation.
Which kind of crafting transfer do you need?
Choose the row that matches your goal. These are separate mechanics, not competing versions of one service.

The practical answer to “Can I transfer crafting progress or materials to another character/server?” is therefore conditional: equipment progression can be converted only through an eligible Transfer Crafting recipe; a server move carries Crafting Records and character-held items under the transfer rules; and Server Storage contents stay behind unless moved first.

What Transfer Crafting does to equipment
Transfer Crafting is an equipment-progression mechanic. On the current recipe list, an eligible target is marked with a Transfer Crafting icon. The icon is the first eligibility check; an item that lacks it should not be treated as a valid target merely because it is the same type of gear.
The guide currently reporting these mechanics says the following information is carried from the selected source equipment:
- Enhancement stages.
- Breakthrough stages.
- Soul Imprint information.
It also reports three important resets or changes:
- Equipped Manastones reset.
- Equipped Godstones reset.
- Binding information resets.
- The Soul Imprint rate changes rather than remaining identical.
These are guide-reported rules cross-checked against official guidance, not a promise that every future patch will behave identically. Read the confirmation panel in your client, because it is the authoritative view of the selected source, target and current costs. How to transfer gear progression, step by step
- Open the current Transfer Crafting recipe list. Use the in-game crafting interface rather than relying on an old screenshot or a remembered recipe name. Recipe availability and requirements can change by client version, region or patch.
- Find the intended target item. Confirm that the target displays the Transfer Crafting icon. If it does not, stop and choose another target or verify that you are in the correct recipe category.
- Select the source equipment. Check that the source is the item whose enhancement, breakthrough and Soul Imprint information you intend to use. Do not assume that selecting a similarly named item will produce the same result.
- Read the retained and reset fields in the confirmation interface. Look specifically for enhancement, breakthrough, Soul Imprint, Manastone, Godstone and binding entries. The reported rules carry the first three progression categories, reset the two stone types and binding information, and change the Soul Imprint rate.
- Review the live recipe requirements. The client’s recipe view is the place to verify the exact materials, quantities, currency price and any displayed rate for this operation. There is no enduring, universal cost table that applies to every recipe.
- Remove or document anything you cannot afford to lose. Because Manastones, Godstones and binding information reset, record the current setup and plan to reapply or replace those elements only after confirming the target’s post-transfer state.
- Accept only after the result matches your plan. Treat the final confirmation as a one-way decision unless the client explicitly presents a reversal. If a field is not listed as retained, do not count on it surviving.
What the interface should answer before you confirm
- Which source item is selected.
- Which eligible target item is selected.
- Which progression fields are retained.
- Which fields reset or change.
- Which materials and currency are required now.
- What rate or probability the current recipe displays, if any.
If the panel does not expose one of these details, treat that information as unconfirmed rather than filling the gap with a value from another recipe, server or patch.

What does not transfer unchanged in Transfer Crafting?

The safe interpretation is “selected progression is converted,” not “the source is cloned.” Do not promise that every stat, socketed item, restriction or modification remains identical unless the current interface explicitly lists it.
Can you transfer crafting materials to another character?
The available rules do not establish a universal button that transfers a crafting-material stockpile directly between characters. They do establish two narrower facts: Transfer Crafting concerns eligible equipment progression, and a server transfer carries certain character-held items plus Crafting Records.
For a material you want on another character, first identify what action you are actually taking:
- Using Transfer Crafting: the operation is about source and target equipment, not a general materials move. Check the recipe’s live requirements and do not expect unused materials to be converted automatically into another character’s inventory.
- Moving a character between servers: inventory and Character Storage are relevant, while Server Storage is excluded. Move desired items out of Server Storage before starting the transfer.
- Moving items between characters on one server: the cited transfer rules do not specify a general character-to-character delivery method. Use only a current in-game option that explicitly supports the item and destination; otherwise the material’s transferability is not established.
Recipe requirements, material quantities, prices and rates are live data. They vary by the selected recipe and can be affected by region or patch, so an exact materials list without a named recipe and current client view would be unreliable.

How server transfer affects Crafting Records and items
A server transfer is a character move, not Transfer Crafting. The official AION 2 Steam notice lists Crafting Records among the records transferred with the character. That means your recorded crafting progress is part of the character-transfer package, subject to the service’s current eligibility rules.
Item location is decisive:

The official service notice and its Q&A are published in the AION 2 Steam news feed. Because that notice is dated October 9, 2026 and transfer terms are operational, recheck the current announcement and the in-game transfer screen immediately before scheduling the move.
How to prepare a server transfer
- Check that the transfer service is currently open. The notice defines a transfer window. A character cannot be moved outside the period or process offered by the current service.
- Confirm region and faction eligibility. Restrictions can apply to both. Do not assume that two servers shown in a list are mutually transferable.
- Check Early Access versus Launch status. The official notice distinguishes these server types. A server’s status can determine whether it is an allowed source or destination.
- Review destination capacity. A destination may be unavailable even when the region and faction match if it has reached its current capacity or is otherwise closed.
- Inventory-audit the character. Put every item you want to keep in the character’s inventory or Character Storage. Server Storage contents do not move with the character.
- Verify Crafting Records are attached to the intended character. The service transfers the records with the character, so selecting the wrong character produces the wrong result.
- Read the final preview and restrictions. Confirm source server, destination server, character, item scope and timing before submitting the request.
- Use the current notice for any date or capacity question. Operational schedules can change; an older announcement is not a guarantee that the same destination is available now.

Costs, materials and success rates
Do not use a single “Aion 2 crafting transfer cost” figure as though it applies everywhere. The current crafting guide states that recipe requirements, material quantities, prices and rates are live data. The available evidence does not provide one complete, permanent cost table or a universal Combo rate.

- Recipe name and target item.
- Source item, if the interface requests one.
- Each required material and quantity.
- Displayed currency price.
- Any displayed rate or probability.
- Region, server and client version shown by your account.
Those details let you reproduce the result later and identify whether a changed requirement is a patch difference rather than an error. A price or quantity from another region, date or recipe should not be presented as your current cost.

The target has no Transfer Crafting icon
Stop before selecting materials. The target may be ineligible, belong to a different recipe category or be unavailable under the current patch. Return to the current recipe list and choose an item that displays the icon.
A stone or binding state disappeared
This is consistent with the reported Transfer Crafting behavior: equipped Manastones, Godstones and binding information reset. Recheck the confirmation screen and plan the target’s replacement setup rather than treating the result as a failed enhancement transfer.

The Soul Imprint value is different
The reported rule carries Soul Imprint information but changes the Soul Imprint rate. Compare the pre-transfer value with the rate shown in the current confirmation panel; do not assume the percentage remains unchanged.

A needed material is missing after a server move
Check where it was stored before transfer. Server Storage contents do not transfer. Only items in the character’s inventory or Character Storage are covered by the stated item rules, so move the material before submitting a future transfer.
The destination server cannot be selected
Check the current transfer window, region, faction, Early Access or Launch classification and destination capacity. Any one of those conditions can make a server unavailable, and the official notice may have changed since your last attempt.
The displayed cost or rate differs from an online guide
Use the current client’s recipe view as the controlling value. Recipe data is live and patch-dependent; an older guide can describe a previously valid requirement without describing your current server.

Example: moving progression to a new eligible item
You select a source weapon and a target weapon that shows the Transfer Crafting icon. The confirmation panel lists enhancement, breakthrough and Soul Imprint information as retained, while Manastones, Godstones and binding information are reset and the Soul Imprint rate changes. This is a progression conversion, not a complete copy of the source weapon’s configuration.
Example: moving a crafter to another server
You plan a server transfer and want to keep crafting materials. Crafting Records move with the character, and items in inventory or Character Storage are covered by the stated rules. Materials left in Server Storage do not move, so they must be relocated before the transfer request is submitted.
Example: looking for a universal material-transfer command
You want to send a crafting stockpile to a different character. Neither the Transfer Crafting rules nor the server-transfer summary establishes a universal character-to-character materials command. You must use a current in-game item-transfer method that explicitly supports the item; otherwise, the safe answer is that the transfer is not confirmed.
