BlazBlue: Central Fiction is a PS4 game that PlayStation lists as playable on PS5. To use your PS4 save on PS5, transfer or copy the PS4 saved data using PlayStation’s system-level tools; the official instructions do not describe a separate in-game migration feature.
Choose a transfer method

Transfer directly from PS4 to PS5
PlayStation’s console-transfer instructions include PS4 saved data for games playable on PS5. Prepare both consoles before starting:
- Sign in to the same account on the PS4 and PS5.
- Update both consoles’ system software and synchronize trophy information.
- Connect both consoles to the same network.
- Use the PS4 user account that holds the save. After PS5 initial setup, PlayStation says only saved data for the user logged in on the source PS4 can be transferred.
If the PS5 is still in initial setup
Follow the on-screen data-transfer instructions during PS5 setup.
If PS5 setup is complete
- Turn on the PS4 that contains the save.
- On PS5, open Settings > System > System Software > Data Transfer.
- Select Continue and follow the on-screen prompts.
PlayStation documents transfer from one source console to one destination PS5. The PS5 restarts during the process, and some data may continue transferring after the restart. Do not change network settings or run internet connection tests while transfer is in progress; PlayStation warns this could damage or lose data. See PlayStation’s data-transfer instructions.

Copy the save using a USB drive
PlayStation also supports copying PS4 game saved data to a USB drive and then copying it to the destination PS5. The official instructions do not require a particular drive brand, model, or capacity.
- On the PS4, copy the game’s saved data to a USB drive using the console’s saved-data controls.
- Connect that drive to the PS5.
- Use the PS5’s saved-data controls to copy the PS4 saved data from USB storage to the console.
If the same game already has saved data on the PS5, copying from USB can replace it. Check which save you want to keep before proceeding. Consult PlayStation’s transfer support page for its current console instructions.

Download the save from PlayStation Plus cloud storage
PlayStation Plus members can download saved data from cloud storage. On PS5, sign in to the account associated with the save, then use the saved-data controls to download the PS4 save from cloud storage. Confirm that the save is actually present in cloud storage; having a membership does not establish that this particular save was uploaded.

The PlayStation Store lists BlazBlue: Central Fiction as a PS4 game playable on PS5, not as evidence of a distinct PS5 edition or an in-game save-migration flow. PlayStation cautions that some features available on PS4 may be absent on PS5. Its backward-compatibility guidance also notes that some PS4 games may show errors or unexpected behavior on PS5. Accordingly, these steps explain how to move PS4 saved data for use with the PS4 game on PS5; they do not guarantee that every save element or feature will behave identically.

If the save does not appear
- Check that the PS5 is signed in to the same account used for the save.
- For console transfer, confirm the intended user is logged in on the source PS4 and that both consoles are on the same network.
- For cloud retrieval, verify the save exists in cloud storage under the account you are using.
- For USB copying, check that you selected the intended PS4 save and remember that copying can replace an existing save for the same game on PS5.
