For an Android phone, plan to copy apps and data to the Find X10 during its initial setup; for an iPhone, choose the iPhone transfer option if it appears and follow the prompts. Treat WhatsApp as a separate migration. The Find X10 Series is scheduled for its global debut on October 21, 2026, so as of October 13 its exact setup screens, port, and transfer behavior have not been confirmed by OPPO.
What to know before transferring to the Find X10
OPPO announced on October 8, 2026 that the Find X10 Series will make its global debut on October 21. The company says it will reveal full specifications, pricing, and availability at launch. That means the steps below describe Google’s general Android transfer methods, not verified Find X10 screens or a tested Find X10 transfer. Use the options actually shown on your phone once it is available.
Google recommends copying data during Android setup and warns that the transfer option may not be available afterward. A cable is its recommended method for setup copying, but wireless transfer is also available in supported flows. A transfer is not a complete clone: some downloads, hidden-folder media, apps installed outside Google Play, and data from apps that do not use Android backup may not copy.

Prepare both Android phones
- Charge and unlock both phones, and have the old phone’s PIN or passcode ready.
- Check that the Find X10 has enough free storage. If it does not, you may need to select fewer categories.
- Connect to Wi-Fi or otherwise make sure both phones have internet access. Have the Google Account used on the old phone available.
- Make a fresh backup of the old phone. Back up WhatsApp separately using its own in-app backup or transfer process.
- If you plan to use a cable, wait for OPPO to confirm the Find X10 port and check that the cable fits both phones and supports data. An adapter may be needed; a charging-only cable will not do.
Copy from Android during setup
- Turn on the Find X10 and begin initial setup.
- When asked whether to copy apps and data, select the on-screen option for transferring from an Android or old device.
- Pair the phones using the method offered. For a wired transfer, connect them with a compatible data cable and any required adapter. For wireless transfer, follow the pairing prompts and keep the phones nearby.
- Sign in to the Google Account requested, choose the available data categories, and leave the phones connected until copying finishes.
- Open important apps on the Find X10, check their data and sign-ins, and complete WhatsApp restoration separately.
Google says Android setup may copy apps and certain app data, music, photos, videos, phone or SIM contacts, text messages and multimedia, many phone settings, wallpaper, and call history. What transfers depends on the phones and Android versions. Google gives a general estimate of a few minutes to a few hours depending on the amount of data; this is not a Find X10-specific time estimate.

How do I transfer photos and messages from Android to Android?
Use the same setup-time copy described above and select the offered categories for photos, videos, contacts, and messages. Google’s Android setup transfer can include text messages and their multimedia, but it does not guarantee that every file or app’s data will move. In particular, check downloads such as PDFs, media stored in hidden folders, and files managed outside the standard photo library. Copy anything missing manually, for example through a computer to an external drive or cloud storage.
If your photos are already synced to a photo service, install or sign in to that same service on the Find X10 and confirm the images are present before deleting anything from the old phone.

How do I transfer data from an iPhone to the Find X10?
Start the Find X10’s initial setup and select the iPhone or iPad source option if it is offered. Follow the on-screen instructions; available categories depend on the transfer method and device software.
- For a cable transfer, connect the iPhone’s charging cable to the new phone, using a suitable adapter if needed. Tap Trust on the iPhone if prompted, then select the categories to copy.
- If setup offers Android Switch wireless transfer, use it only if the Find X10’s software supports that flow. Keep the phones nearby and follow the pairing prompts.
- Turn off iMessage on the iPhone to reduce the chance of missing SMS messages after the switch.
- Sign in to the Google Account requested during setup and let the transfer complete.
- Handle WhatsApp separately using its QR-guided transfer prompt, if offered, and check the chat history on the new phone.
Google’s classic iPhone-to-Android comparison lists photos and videos for both wireless and cable transfer, while apps and WhatsApp history are supported only by cable in that flow. Google also describes an upgraded transfer flow for a limited set of devices; do not assume that it applies to the Find X10. The transfer choices and supported categories may vary by device and Android version.

How do I transfer WhatsApp chats from iPhone to Android?
Do not assume the general phone-copy process will bring WhatsApp history across. Follow WhatsApp’s own migration instructions during the new phone’s setup. Google describes an iPhone-to-Android process in which you scan a QR code displayed on the new Android phone and follow the prompts. For an Android-to-Android move, Google says to enable a WhatsApp backup on the old phone, then sign in to WhatsApp on the new phone and restore it.
A WhatsApp transfer is not guaranteed to succeed. Google also cautions that chat histories created on the new phone cannot be merged with the old history: restoring the old history replaces the new one. Avoid opening or completing WhatsApp setup on the Find X10 before you are ready to follow the intended migration flow.

Do I need a cable to transfer everything?
No. Google supports wireless transfer in its setup flows, but the available data types depend on the source, device, and software. In Google’s classic iPhone-to-Android process, cable transfer supports more categories than wireless transfer. For Android-to-Android setup copying, Google recommends a cable, while wireless is an alternative. Neither method guarantees that every file or app’s data will transfer.
Because OPPO has not yet confirmed the Find X10’s connector, do not buy a cable or adapter on the assumption that a particular port will be included. If you choose a wired method, confirm that the cable fits both phones and supports data, not just charging.

Can I transfer data after setting up my phone?
Google warns that the option to copy directly from the old phone may no longer be available after Android setup. If the Find X10 has already been set up, an existing Google One device backup can restore supported content, data, and settings during Android setup. For files that did not transfer, copy them manually through a computer to a hard drive, external drive, or cloud service. Use the relevant app’s own backup and restore process for app-specific content such as WhatsApp.
What should I check before erasing the old phone?
Keep the old phone until you have checked the new one. Open your key apps and confirm logins and data; inspect photos, downloaded files, contacts, SMS and MMS, and call history; and verify that WhatsApp chats are present. These checks matter because transfer support varies and some content is explicitly excluded from Google’s general copy process. Erase or trade in the old phone only after confirming that anything important is available on the Find X10 or safely backed up.
