Short answer: AION 2’s official materials refer to the auction-house-style system as the Marketplace. You can use the Marketplace shown in your current game client to buy or sell eligible items, but the official information currently available does not establish the exact menu path, access requirements, listing fee, duration, item restrictions, or whether every region and server uses the same rules. Treat the prompts displayed by your live client and the current official help pages as authoritative for those operational details.
Trading game items or currency for real money, services, goods, items from another game, or character-leveling help is prohibited. The safest way to trade is entirely inside the Marketplace, keep transaction records, and contact official support quickly if you make a mistake.
Marketplace or “auction house”? The terminology matters
Players commonly call the system an auction house or market. The official AION 2 material reviewed for this guide calls it the Marketplace, and the operation policy specifically recognizes Marketplace purchases, sales and fees. In practice, open the trading interface that your current client labels Market or Marketplace; do not assume that a guide using “auction house” describes a separate feature.

What the official sources confirm
Marketplace transactions are covered by the operation policy
The AION 2 Global Operation Policy treats a Marketplace purchase, sale or fee as a recorded game transaction. Its restoration section lists an item that was incorrectly traded through the Marketplace as a type of issue that may be considered for recovery. Recovery is conditional: records must still exist, exclusions apply, and the policy gives a general 15-day period. This is not a promise that a mistaken sale or purchase will be reversed.
Real-money trading is prohibited
The same policy defines prohibited real-money trading broadly. It includes trading items, including in-game currency, for money or other real-world goods or services; exchanging an item for an item from another game; and paying another person to level a character. Attempting or advertising such a transaction is also listed as a violation, as is advertising brokerage sites for real-money or account trading.
The policy’s sanction table lists an initial RMT sanction of 30 days and a second sanction of 90 days. Attempted RMT is shown with listed steps of 3, 7 and 30 days. These are policy terms that can change, so check the linked policy and the exact row that applies to your account before relying on a duration.

In an official announcement dated October 10, 2026, the AION 2 Team said it had restricted accounts for botting and gold farming, unauthorized programs, RMT and abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the game economy. The team stated: “Restrictions are only applied after review, in line with the Operation Policy.” That warning targets automation, RMT and manipulation; it does not say that ordinary buying and selling through the Marketplace is itself forbidden.

The official announcement archive also contains a separate October 12, 2026 notice reporting 10,000 restricted accounts. The October 10 notice reports 4,996. They are notice-specific figures, not a combined total, and should not be added together without an explicit cumulative statement from the operator. Details you must verify in your current client
No official source reviewed here establishes the following operational values. Before listing or buying, read the information panel in your client and check the current support documentation for your region and version.

A third-party page, AION 2 Trading Exchange: The Market, Fees and Selling Rules, mentions an 8% sale fee and a membership requirement. Those claims were not verified by official policy or announcements, so treat them only as questions to check against your client, not as instructions. Another third-party report, AION 2 Disables Direct Player Trading at Launch to Fight Bots, is likewise a lead rather than confirmation of the current live rules.
How to open and use the Marketplace without guessing at an outdated path
Because the official button path and requirements are not published in the material available here, the following procedure deliberately starts with the interface your client currently exposes. Do not substitute a path from a different region, beta build or old video.

- Update and sign in. Install the current client update, select the correct game region and server, and sign in to the character that should conduct the transaction.
- Find the live Marketplace entry. Use the in-game menu, shortcut, NPC or other entry point displayed by your client. The exact label and location are version-dependent; if no Marketplace entry appears, consult the current official support page rather than enabling an add-on or downloading a “market unlock” tool.
- Read the rules panel before selecting an item. Note the displayed currency, fee, minimum or maximum price, listing time, tax treatment and any access warning. Capture a screenshot if the interface allows it.
- Check the item’s trade status. Select the item and confirm that it is eligible, unbound, in the correct stack and on the correct character. If the client marks it as bound, restricted or unavailable, do not attempt to bypass that state.
- Review the final amount. Before confirming, compare the unit price, quantity, total cost or proceeds and every fee shown in the confirmation dialog. A listing fee and a sale fee may be separate; rely on the amount the client displays for your transaction.
- Confirm only inside the game. Complete the purchase or listing through the Marketplace confirmation control. Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, account credentials or another game’s items to a person who promises to complete the deal outside the system.
- Check the result. Verify that the purchased item arrived in the destination inventory or that the listed item and proceeds appear in the Marketplace records. If the interface shows pending, expired or cancelled status, follow its stated return procedure.
- Keep evidence. Save the transaction date, character and server, item name, quantity, price, fee, order or listing identifier and screenshots of any error. These details are useful if you need official support.
Preparing an item for sale
Confirm that selling is allowed
Do not assume that every drop, crafted item or upgraded piece can be listed. Binding, soulbound, quest, event and time-limited items commonly have restrictions in online games, but the current AION 2 eligibility list is not established by the official material reviewed. The only reliable answer is the eligibility message in your client or current official documentation.
Price from the information actually shown
Look at the active listings, recent transaction information or price guidance that the interface provides, if available. Compare like-for-like quantity, enhancement state and binding status. If the system does not show a reference price, choose an amount you are willing to accept rather than relying on an external spreadsheet whose server and patch may differ.
Understand the net proceeds
Enter the proposed price and quantity, then read the confirmation screen for the amount you will actually receive. The official sources confirm that fees exist but do not establish their rate or timing. Do not calculate profit with an assumed 8% charge or any other community figure unless your current client displays it.
Buying an item
Search narrowly
Use the filters and search fields offered by your client. Check the exact item name, level, quality, enhancement, quantity and seller or order information shown. Similar names can refer to different versions, and a stack may contain fewer units than you need.

Compare total cost and delivery status
Before confirming, read the total currency deduction and any fee. Confirm whether the item is delivered immediately, placed in a pending queue or sent to another in-game location. If the interface offers both immediate purchases and orders, read the terms for each; the official material does not establish which methods are enabled in the current client.
Never complete a “side payment”
A seller who asks you to pay outside the Marketplace is proposing a policy violation, even if the in-game listing is used as a pretext. Real-money trades, boosting, piloting, carries, win-trading and account-related deals are prohibited under the operation policy.
Fees, access and market scope: how to avoid common mistakes
- Do not infer a fee from a guide. A community article’s 8% figure is unverified. Use the current confirmation panel.
- Do not buy access from another player. If the client shows a membership or account requirement, verify it through official support. Paying a person or an outside site to unlock trading can become an RMT transaction.
- Do not assume cross-server access. Check the server selector or listing scope shown in your client before transferring a character or item.
- Do not assume a listing lasts a fixed number of days. The official material does not state a duration. Record the expiry displayed when you create the listing.
- Do not use automation. Bots, macros, unauthorized programs and abnormal trading patterns were among the activities named in the October 10 enforcement notice.
What counts as prohibited trading
The policy’s RMT language is broader than “selling gold.” It covers any exchange of in-game items or currency for real-world money, goods or services. That includes paying for boosting, piloting, carries or win-trading. Swapping an AION 2 item for an item in another game is also listed. Advertising or attempting the deal can be sanctionable even if the transaction fails.
Keep all legitimate transactions inside the game’s Marketplace and use only the currency and confirmation flow presented there. Do not post contact details for brokerage sites, advertise account trades or ask another player to level your character for payment.

If you make a mistaken purchase or sale
Stop trading the affected item immediately. Do not dismantle, enhance, mail, resell or consume it, because those actions can complicate any review.
- Record the character, server, item, quantity, displayed price, fee, transaction time and any order or listing number.
- Take screenshots of the confirmation, inventory and Marketplace history.
- Contact official AION 2 support as soon as possible and describe exactly what happened.
- Refer to the restoration terms in the Global Operation Policy. The policy mentions a general 15-day period and retained records, but also lists exclusions and does not promise recovery.
- Do not ask another player to “trade it back” for money or an outside service; that creates a separate policy risk.
Troubleshooting by symptom
The Marketplace does not appear
Check that the client is updated, that you are on the intended region and server, and that your character meets any requirement displayed by the game. If the entry is still missing, look for a current official notice about maintenance or access restrictions. Do not install third-party unlockers.
The item cannot be listed
Read the exact rejection text. Common possibilities include binding, category, quantity, level or event restrictions, but only the message in your current client establishes which rule applies. Keep a screenshot if the message is unclear and send it to support.

Compare unit price, quantity and every fee in the confirmation record. A displayed sale price is not necessarily the same as net proceeds. If the record and the confirmation disagree, preserve both screenshots and contact support.
The item or currency is missing
Check pending, expired, cancelled and completed tabs, then relog only if the client’s own instructions recommend it. Do not repeat the purchase while the first order is unresolved. Provide the transaction identifier and timestamp to support.
You receive an RMT or automation offer
Do not respond with payment or credentials. Save the message, use the reporting function available in the client and block the account. The operation policy treats attempted or advertised RMT as a violation.
A practical pre-trade checklist
- Current client update installed and correct region/server selected.
- Marketplace entry and requirements verified in the live interface.
- Item is eligible, correctly bound or unbound, and in the intended quantity.
- Currency, unit price, total price and displayed fees checked on the final screen.
- Listing duration, expiry and cancellation terms recorded.
- No real-world money, goods, services, account access or other-game items involved.
- No bot, macro, unauthorized program or suspicious manipulation used.
- Transaction ID, timestamp and screenshots saved until the trade is complete.
Sources and how to check for changes
Use the AION 2 Global Operation Policy for prohibited trading, sanctions and restoration conditions. Review the official AION 2 announcement archive for enforcement and system notices, including the October 10 and October 12, 2026 updates. Because access rules, fees and interface labels can change by patch or region, the live client’s confirmation screen and current official support information should override any older guide.
