“Atlantic Spaceport C” can refer to two different facilities. This guide uses the operational C-designated pad: Launch Area 0 C, Rocket Lab’s pad at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) inside NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. A separate Atlantic Spaceport Complex is a planned NordSpace site near St. Lawrence, Newfoundland.

For Virginia launches, use Orbit Codex to identify the pad and see its launch history, then use RocketLaunch.Live to filter upcoming missions and subscribe to a calendar feed. On launch day, treat every third-party time as provisional and confirm the countdown through Rocket Lab’s official mission updates, livestream and status posts.

First, identify which “Atlantic Spaceport C” you mean

The name is easy to misread because two unrelated projects use similar Atlantic-spaceport wording.

Orbit Codex lists Launch Area 0 C at 37.833262 N, -75.488235 W, identifies Rocket Lab as the operator, and provides a pad-specific launch history and next-launch field. Its tracker records 13 launches from the pad, with activity reported from 2023 through 2026. Those figures are tracker-reported operational data, not a government launch tally.

Atlantic Spaceport Complex near St. Lawrence, Newfoundland

NordSpace’s Atlantic Spaceport Complex is a different, planned facility near St. Lawrence, Newfoundland. It is not the Virginia pad and should not be monitored with the Virginia workflow without qualification. Ars Technica describes the Newfoundland project as a fully privately funded and managed initiative intended to help Canada build launch capability supporting its security, economy and sovereignty.

If your question concerns Newfoundland, follow NordSpace announcements and local regulatory notices for that project. The steps below are for Launch Area 0 C at MARS in Virginia.

The most reliable tracking setup

No single calendar is authoritative for every moment of a launch campaign. A practical setup combines three layers:

Tracking layer What it is best for Authority and freshness
Orbit Codex Launch Area 0 C page Confirming the exact pad, operator, coordinates, vehicles, launch history and the currently listed next launch Pad-specific independent tracker; history is useful context, while the next-launch field can change
RocketLaunch.Live filtered calendar Finding upcoming Rocket Lab missions associated with the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport or Wallops Flight Facility and receiving ongoing schedule updates Independent aggregation with provider and facility filters; calendar subscription is more convenient than repeatedly checking a broad list
Rocket Lab official mission page, livestream and status posts Final countdown, weather holds, scrubs, revised T-0 and launch-day status Operator information should take precedence when times conflict or the schedule changes

Use the independent services for discovery and alerts, then switch to the operator’s own updates when a countdown is active. Launch schedules are volatile because weather, range availability, vehicle readiness and other operational constraints can move T-0.

Step 1: Verify the pad in Orbit Codex

Start with the Orbit Codex page specifically titled for Launch Area 0 C, rather than a generic Wallops or Rocket Lab listing.

  1. Check the facility name. The page should identify Launch Area 0 C at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport and Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
  2. Check the operator. The listed operator should be Rocket Lab.
  3. Check the coordinates. The pad entry gives 37.833262 N, -75.488235 W. Coordinates help distinguish this site from the Newfoundland project and from other Wallops launch areas.
  4. Check vehicle families. Orbit Codex associates Electron and HASTE with the pad. A mission shown for another vehicle family deserves extra verification before you assume it is a Launch Area 0 C flight.
  5. Read the launch history. The page records 13 launches and activity reported from 2023–2026. Treat those numbers as tracker-reported operational data.
  6. Review the next-launch field. Use it as a lead for the current schedule, not as a guaranteed launch time.

This pad-level check prevents a common mistake: seeing “Wallops,” “MARS” or “Atlantic” in a listing and assuming that every mission uses Launch Area 0 C. A facility can contain multiple launch areas, so the exact pad designation matters.

Step 2: Build a filtered launch calendar

RocketLaunch.Live is useful when you want a continuing schedule rather than a one-time lookup. Its filters let you narrow the global launch list by provider and facility, and its customizable feed can be subscribed to in a calendar application.

Filter by provider

  1. Open the provider filter in RocketLaunch.Live.
  2. Select Rocket Lab.
  3. Keep the filter active while you review the resulting mission list. This removes unrelated launches from other operators.

Filter by facility

  1. Open the facility or launch-site filter.
  2. Select Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport and, where the interface offers it as a separate choice, Wallops Flight Facility.
  3. Use the narrowest combination that still returns the mission you want. A broad Wallops search may include activity that is not from Launch Area 0 C.

Subscribe to the feed

  1. Use RocketLaunch.Live’s customizable feed option after applying the provider and facility filters.
  2. Choose the calendar-subscription method offered by the service.
  3. Add that subscription to your calendar application.
  4. Give the calendar event a reminder that suits your plans, but do not treat the reminder as a promise that the rocket will launch at that exact minute.

A calendar subscription is especially useful when a date moves. The event can update without requiring you to search the entire launch database again. Keep the Orbit Codex pad page bookmarked alongside the calendar so you can verify that a listing really belongs to Launch Area 0 C.

Step 3: Confirm the mission before you make plans

Before traveling to watch a launch or setting aside a specific viewing window, compare the calendar entry with the operator’s current mission information.

  • Confirm that the mission is identified as a Rocket Lab launch from the Virginia MARS/Wallops site.
  • Check the latest launch window rather than relying on an old calendar notification.
  • Look for a revised T-0, weather hold, range issue, scrub or postponement.
  • Check whether the operator has published a livestream or a countdown status update.
  • If the third-party calendar and Rocket Lab’s update disagree, use the operator’s current information for the countdown.

Third-party trackers can be excellent for discovering a mission and following long-range changes, but they are not a substitute for the launch operator during the final countdown. A displayed date may represent a target, an earlier estimate or a schedule that has not yet incorporated the latest hold.

What to do on launch day

Several hours before the window

Open the RocketLaunch.Live calendar event and the Orbit Codex Launch Area 0 C page, then check Rocket Lab’s official mission communication. Compare the mission name, launch site and current target time. If the launch has moved, update your personal calendar reminder rather than relying on an old alert.

During the countdown

Keep the official livestream or status channel open. Watch for the operator’s terms such as “hold,” “scrub,” “no-go” or a revised T-0. A countdown can pause and resume without changing the mission, or it can be reset to a later window.

After a scrub or delay

  1. Record the new target only after Rocket Lab publishes it.
  2. Leave the RocketLaunch.Live filters in place so the rescheduled event remains easy to find.
  3. Check the operator’s next update before assuming that the previous time has simply shifted by a fixed number of hours or days.
  4. Recheck the mission on the day of the new window.

Do not infer a new launch time from an outdated event title or from a social post that predates the latest status update. The authoritative countdown is the operator’s current communication.

How to choose between the two tracking services

The services answer different questions, so choosing one depends on whether you need pad context or schedule automation.

Reader need Better starting point Reason
“Is this really Launch Area 0 C?” Orbit Codex It has a dedicated pad page with coordinates, operator, vehicle families and launch history.
“What Rocket Lab launches are coming from Wallops?” RocketLaunch.Live Provider and facility filters narrow a broad global launch calendar.
“How do I receive schedule changes?” RocketLaunch.Live calendar feed The customizable feed can be subscribed to through a calendar application.
“What is the final countdown time?” Rocket Lab official mission updates The operator publishes the latest T-0, holds, scrubs and launch-day status.
“How many launches has the pad had?” Orbit Codex launch history It records 13 launches, with activity reported from 2023–2026; the figure is tracker-reported.

In practical terms, Orbit Codex is strongest for pad specificity, while RocketLaunch.Live is strongest for filtering and calendar workflow. Neither removes the need to verify the final time with Rocket Lab.

Common mistakes and how to fix them

Mistaking Newfoundland for Virginia

Symptom: You search for “Atlantic Spaceport C” and find references to St. Lawrence, Newfoundland.

Fix: Check whether the listing names Launch Area 0 C, MARS or Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. If it names the NordSpace Atlantic Spaceport Complex, you are looking at the separate Newfoundland project.

Using a general Wallops calendar without a pad check

Symptom: A Wallops event appears, but the listing does not identify Launch Area 0 C.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Fix: Confirm the exact pad in Orbit Codex and use RocketLaunch.Live’s provider and facility filters. “Wallops” alone is not the same as “Launch Area 0 C.”

Treating an early date as final

Symptom: Your calendar reminder fires, but the launch is on hold or has moved.

Fix: Recheck Rocket Lab’s mission page, livestream and status posts on launch day. Third-party times are provisional until the operator confirms the countdown.

Assuming tracker history is an official government record

Symptom: You quote the 13-launch figure as though it were an FAA-certified total.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Fix: Describe it as Orbit Codex’s tracker-reported launch history. The FAA classification of MARS as a licensed vertical spaceport is a separate regulatory fact.

Following the wrong vehicle assumption

Symptom: A listing names a vehicle that does not match the pad page.

Fix: Orbit Codex associates Launch Area 0 C with Electron and HASTE. Verify any different vehicle or mission designation through Rocket Lab’s official information before relying on it.

Using the information for travel or live viewing

Launch tracking can tell you when to watch a broadcast, but a calendar entry is not a promise that public viewing will be available from a particular location. Launch Area 0 C is at a regulated, FAA-licensed vertical spaceport within Wallops Flight Facility. Follow any access, road-closure, safety or public-viewing instructions issued by the facility and operator rather than approaching restricted areas.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

For a remote viewing plan, set two reminders: one for the current target window and another shortly before the window to check Rocket Lab’s latest status. Keep the calendar subscription active because the event may be revised. If you are traveling, wait for a current operator confirmation before treating the date as fixed.

A concise repeatable checklist

  1. Decide whether you mean Virginia’s Launch Area 0 C or NordSpace’s planned Newfoundland site.
  2. For Virginia, open the Orbit Codex Launch Area 0 C page.
  3. Verify MARS, Wallops Flight Facility, Rocket Lab and the coordinates 37.833262 N, -75.488235 W.
  4. Note the associated Electron and HASTE vehicle families.
  5. Use RocketLaunch.Live to filter by Rocket Lab and Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport or Wallops Flight Facility.
  6. Subscribe to the filtered calendar feed.
  7. Before watching or traveling, compare the event with Rocket Lab’s current mission page and status communication.
  8. During the countdown, follow the operator’s livestream and revised T-0.
  9. After a delay, wait for a newly published target instead of extrapolating from the old time.

What “reliable” means for launch tracking

Reliability has two parts. The first is identification: knowing that the event belongs to the exact pad you care about. Orbit Codex’s dedicated Launch Area 0 C page is useful here because it supplies pad-level context rather than only a global list. The second is timeliness: knowing whether the countdown is still active. Rocket Lab’s own current mission communication is the appropriate final check, because holds, scrubs and revised T-0 decisions occur during operations.

RocketLaunch.Live fills the middle ground. Its provider and facility filters reduce noise, and its calendar feed makes schedule monitoring practical over weeks or months. Used together, the three sources provide a clear chain: pad identity from the dedicated tracker, ongoing discovery and alerts from the filtered calendar, and final launch status from the operator.
