Keep each platform account as the authoritative record, then use an aggregator for a combined view. A web tracker such as Exophase can display achievements from several ecosystems, while the Playnite Achievements extension puts supported achievement data inside a PC library. Neither approach automatically turns separate platform records into one universal account, and neither should be confused with syncing a game save or merging progress.
What “tracking achievements across platforms” actually means
Most achievements and trophies are owned by the platform network or by the game’s own account system. A trophy earned on PlayStation, an achievement unlocked through Xbox, or a badge recorded by a PC storefront remains attached to that source account. A third-party service can read the data you authorize and show it in one profile, but the service is normally a dashboard, not the owner of the original record.
That distinction matters because the words aggregate, sync, and transfer describe different outcomes:

Use the native platform page to settle whether an achievement was actually recorded. Use an aggregator when you want a convenient overview of several accounts.

Decide which record is authoritative
Platform and game accounts remain the source of truth
Before connecting anything, open the account or game client where the achievement was earned. If it is visible there, that source is the canonical record for troubleshooting. A third-party profile can lag, omit a title, or be unable to read a private account even when the platform itself shows the unlock.
Games can also maintain their own achievement systems in addition to platform achievements. Epic’s Understanding Achievements documentation distinguishes “Epic Games achievements,” which Epic owns and developers may choose to add, from in-game achievements owned and operated by the game developer. Those systems can have different lists, unlock conditions, and account requirements.
Aggregation does not rewrite history
If a tracker shows an achievement from several services, it is presenting connected data, not moving the unlock between accounts. Removing a connection, changing privacy settings, or losing authentication can make an item disappear from the dashboard without deleting the original platform record.

Cross-platform behavior is specific to the game and the systems involved. Sony gives a clear example for PlayStation games that are available on both PC and console. Its support page says:

“Yes, trophy progress is tracked based on the game you’re playing. If the game can be played on PC and console, your trophy progress will be valid on both platforms.”

That statement applies to the documented PlayStation case; it is not evidence that every PlayStation, Xbox, PC, mobile, or retro pairing shares trophy progress. Check the game publisher or platform support page for the exact title before assuming that a second copy will continue the same list.

Compare services on platform coverage, whether they aggregate achievements or sync game progress, authentication and privacy requirements, refresh behavior, and known gaps. A single “best” score is less useful because each tool depends on different source systems.

Set up a cross-platform achievement tracker
1. Verify the unlock at the source
- Open the platform client, console profile, or game account where you played.
- Find the title’s achievement or trophy list and confirm the specific unlock, date, and account.
- For a PlayStation game played on PC, launch the game, press Shift+F1 to open the PlayStation overlay, and choose Trophies, as described in Sony’s support instructions.
If the native list is missing the achievement, fix that account or game issue first. An aggregator cannot recover an unlock that the source never recorded.
2. Check visibility and account permissions
- Review the platform’s privacy controls and make gaming activity visible to the tracker, if the service requires public activity.
- Use the tracker’s supported authentication flow rather than entering a password into an unrelated form.
- Read the tracker’s privacy policy and understand what account data it stores, displays, or shares before authorizing access.
Exophase says that tracking failures are typically caused by privacy settings that hide gaming activity. A private source can therefore look like an empty or outdated profile even when the platform record is correct.
3. Select the aggregation method
Choose Exophase’s FAQ and profile tools when you want a web-based view spanning the ecosystems it lists. Choose Playnite Achievements when your main library is on Windows and you want achievements displayed alongside installed games in Playnite. If you only need to confirm one unlock, stay with the native platform page and avoid granting an additional service access.

- Open the tracker’s platform or account settings.
- Sign in through the documented provider flow for each account you want included.
- Check that the account name and game library shown after authorization are the accounts you intended to connect.
- Do not assume that a platform appearing in a service’s general list supports every region, edition, emulator, or game.
5. Run the appropriate refresh
Playnite Achievements documents refresh options for installed games, recent games, or the full library. Use an installed-game or recent-game refresh for a quick update; use a full refresh when you need achievement data retrieved for all games. Large libraries can take longer and may expose unsupported or incomplete titles.

6. Compare one title against its native record
- Pick a recently unlocked achievement that is visible on the source platform.
- Refresh the aggregator and check the title, achievement name, unlock state, and timestamp.
- If the item is absent, test another known unlock before concluding that the entire account failed to import.
- Record any title-specific limitation so you do not mistake a coverage gap for a lost achievement.
7. Recheck after account or privacy changes
Changing a password, unlinking a platform, switching a profile from public to private, or moving a game to a different account can invalidate a connection. Re-authenticate and refresh only after confirming that the source account still contains the original record.

PlayStation trophies on PC and console
For a PlayStation title released on both PC and console, Sony’s documented behavior is game-based trophy tracking: progress is valid on both platforms. Use the PlayStation overlay’s Shift+F1 → Trophies path on PC to inspect the list. Do not extend that rule to a title that uses a different achievement service or to a game that is not documented as sharing its trophy progress.
Epic achievements versus a developer’s in-game achievements
Epic’s achievement view organizes current achievements by game and offers filtering and sorting. The same support material notes that Epic-owned achievements are optional for developers, while other achievements may be created and operated by the developer. When two lists disagree, identify which system awarded the achievement before troubleshooting an aggregator.

Epic’s account guidance for supported Fortnite, Fall Guys, or Rocket League progress sync requires linking platform accounts to an active Epic account. In the described setup, one Epic account can contain one account from each supported platform. If platform progress differs, Epic says that progress cannot be merged through that process; you must choose which progress to keep. This is a game-progress rule, not a general promise that achievements transfer between every linked account.

Understand the known coverage gaps
Service lists are not guarantees of complete title coverage
Platform lists change, and a service can support a network without exposing every game, edition, region, or achievement type. Confirm current coverage on the service’s own documentation immediately before connecting an account.
Blizzard and Ubisoft limitations in Exophase
Exophase’s FAQ specifically limits Blizzard tracking to StarCraft II and World of Warcraft game data. It also describes Ubisoft tracking as challenges rather than the achievements displayed in the Ubisoft client. If your goal depends on another Blizzard or Ubisoft title, retain the native client as your primary reference.
Emulators and manual records in Playnite
Playnite Achievements lists RetroAchievements, several emulators, and manual achievement support. Treat manually entered or emulator-related records differently from a directly authenticated platform record, and check the project’s current documentation for the exact source you plan to use.
Troubleshoot a missing or stale achievement
- Native record missing: Confirm the account, game edition, online connection, and unlock condition in the game’s own support information. The aggregator cannot create a source unlock.
- Native record present but tracker empty: Recheck privacy visibility, account authorization, and the selected profile. Exophase identifies hidden gaming activity as a common cause of tracking failure.
- Only one game is missing: Treat it as a title or source-coverage issue first. Test another known title before disconnecting every account.
- Old data appears: Run the tracker’s documented refresh. In Playnite Achievements, choose installed, recent, or full-library refresh according to the scope you need.
- Achievements differ between PC and console: Look for an explicit game-specific rule. The PlayStation PC/console statement is a documented exception you can apply to that case, not a universal standard.
- Progress changed after linking accounts: Stop before unlinking or relinking repeatedly. Epic’s guidance says differing supported progress cannot be merged in the described process, so select the record you intend to keep only after reviewing the consequences.
- A source disappeared after a password or privacy change: Re-authenticate through the official flow and restore the visibility setting required by the tracker.
Privacy and account-safety checklist
- Connect only the accounts you actually want shown in a combined profile.
- Review what the tracker displays publicly, including usernames, game history, dates, and completion status.
- Use unique passwords and the platform’s own authorization page whenever available.
- Revoke access from the platform’s account-security settings when you stop using a tracker.
- Keep the native platform profile accessible; it is the fallback record if a third-party service changes coverage or stops updating.
- Do not publish private account identifiers or recovery information in screenshots of your achievement profile.
How to maintain an accurate combined profile
- Keep a short list of the source accounts connected to your tracker, including which one owns each game.
- Refresh after a major play session when you need an up-to-date public profile, rather than assuming every service updates instantly.
- Use the native platform page to settle disputes about dates, unlock states, or duplicate entries.
- Review service documentation whenever you add a new platform, storefront, emulator, or game edition.
- Separate platform achievements, developer-owned in-game achievements, and manually recorded achievements in your own notes or profile description.
Bottom line for choosing a tracker
For a browser-based overview, start with Exophase’s currently listed ecosystems and verify its privacy and coverage requirements. For a Windows library-centered workflow, Playnite Achievements is the documented option to investigate, with source logins and selectable refresh scopes. In both cases, preserve each platform account as the authority, verify a game’s own cross-platform rule, and describe the result as tracking in one profile rather than universal achievement syncing.
