The safest way to complete Hellraiser: Revival is to treat every area as missable content. Sweep for items before advancing, keep a separate recipe-and-crafting checklist, and use manual saves before major choices and shop transactions. The game has no traditional chapter select or post-story free roam, so a missed collectible or side achievement usually requires reloading an earlier save or replaying the game.
What you need to complete
Hellraiser: Revival launched on October 8, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam. Saber Interactive estimates a normal playthrough at about 8–12 hours, depending on playstyle. Completion requirements differ by platform, but the collectible-linked goals use the same four item categories.
The story is experienced through Aidan Lynch, the protagonist identified by Saber game director Emil Esov in the July 16, 2026 PlayStation.Blog feature. That perspective is useful when following objectives, but do not confuse story progression with completion progress: the game will not automatically revisit optional rooms or confirm that every side requirement is finished.

That is the complete set of collectible types tied to trophies or achievements: 27 items in total. Notes and other documents add lore but are not required for those collectible unlocks. If you are collecting for story flavor as well, keep notes in a fifth, optional section so they do not obscure the four categories that matter for completion.

Why collectibles are easy to miss
The game does not use a conventional chapter structure, and the available guides report no Chapter Select. There is also no post-story free roam. Once you leave an area or finish the story, you cannot simply return through a menu and clean up everything you overlooked.
Use this rule throughout the campaign: do not move to the next area until the current area has been searched and your checklist has been updated. If a door, lift, scripted transition or objective clearly takes you onward, make a manual save first. That save gives you a recovery point if you later discover that an item or side requirement was missed.
Think of each transition as a one-way checkpoint. A room that looks decorative can still contain a firearm, a pillar interaction or a recipe object, and a combat arena may close after its encounter. The safest order is to explore first, complete the local objective second, and trigger the transition only after checking your list.

Set up a tracking system before playing
Use four permanent checklist sections
Create a note on your phone, computer or paper with four headings: Firearms (1–5), Recipes (1–12), Pain Pillars (1–5) and Suffering Pillars (1–5). Give every entry three states rather than a simple tick:
- Not found: you have not confirmed the item.
- Found: you picked up or interacted with it, but a recipe still needs to be crafted if applicable.
- Completed: the item is confirmed and any related crafting action is finished.
The three-state system matters for recipes. Materials are randomly distributed during play, and the game does not reliably tell you which recipes you have already crafted. A recipe discovered in the world is not the same as a recipe you have successfully made.
Record the area and save slot
Next to each entry, write the area name as you understand it and the manual-save slot used immediately afterward. The game provides two rotating autosave slots and eight manual-save slots per playthrough. Autosaves are useful for recovering from a recent mistake, but they should not replace deliberate manual saves because rotating autosaves can overwrite the state you need.
A useful line looks like this: “Recipe 6 — found, crafted, save 3, area cleared.” For pillars, record the type as well as the number. This prevents a late-game total of ten pillars from hiding a missing Pain Pillar or an unconfirmed Suffering Pillar.
Keep crafting materials in reserve
Crafting ingredients are limited, so do not repeatedly manufacture items just to test whether a recipe counts. Before spending materials, check your list and mark which recipe you are making. If you are unsure whether a recipe was already completed, preserve the ingredients until you can verify your notes or reload a known save.
The safest collectible route
1. Sweep the current area before pursuing the next objective
When you enter a new space, search side rooms, dead ends and visible platforms before following the main objective marker. Look for interactable pillars, weapon pickups and recipe-related objects while the area is still accessible. Do not assume that a return path will remain open after a cutscene or combat sequence.
2. Update the checklist immediately
As soon as you obtain an item, record its category and number. For a recipe, note whether you merely found it or also crafted the associated item. For a pillar, record the exact pillar type. Delaying the entry until the end of a long section makes it easy to confuse two similar pickups.

3. Make a manual save at the exit point
After completing the sweep, save before activating the objective that advances the story. Use a consistent naming convention if your platform allows it, such as “Area cleared – recipes 4/12 – pillars 3/10.” The label should tell you both where the save begins and what your checklist contained at that moment.

Keep a separate manual save before any obvious ending decision or irreversible conversation. The trophy roadmap identifies two ending choices among the platform achievements. A pre-choice save lets you test one outcome and return to the decision without relying on an entire replay, provided the save remains available.
5. Do not spend the last useful materials casually
When your checklist shows an uncrafted recipe, make that item deliberately and mark it as completed. If a material drop seems random, continue normal exploration rather than repeatedly reloading to force a particular result; the guides describe material availability as random, not as a fixed route.
6. Separate discovery from verification
At the end of every sweep, compare the physical inventory with the written list. Seeing an object, opening a container or walking past a pillar is not proof of acquisition. Count a firearm only after the pickup is confirmed, and count a pillar only after the interaction completes. This simple verification step catches most false positives before the next save.
How to unlock the collectible achievements
Guns, Lots of Guns
Collect all five firearms and mark each one as soon as it enters your inventory. A weapon that is visible but not actually acquired should remain “not found” until the pickup or inventory confirmation occurs.

Complete the 12-recipe set. Discovery alone is not enough for a safe completion plan: keep a separate “crafted” column and confirm every recipe by making its item at least once.
Artificer
This achievement requires crafting every craftable item. Because the game does not maintain a dependable history of what you have made and ingredients are limited, use a running list of each craft rather than relying on memory. Avoid consuming materials on duplicate crafts unless your list shows that the recipe still needs completion.
There Are No Limits
Interact with all five Pain Pillars. Mark the interaction itself, not merely the point at which you first saw the pillar.
Pain And Pleasure, Indivisible
Interact with all five Suffering Pillars. Keep Pain Pillars and Suffering Pillars in separate checklist columns; their names are similar enough that combining them can produce a false completion total.
Unlocking the wider achievement list
Achievement totals are platform-specific, so do not use one universal number. Destructoid’s October 11, 2026 guide lists 44 console trophies or achievements, excluding the PlayStation 5 Platinum, and reports 25 additional Steam achievements. The lists are not identical.

The most reliable route is one careful story playthrough in which you complete side requirements as they appear. The trophy roadmap says one playthrough is sufficient, but anything unrelated to basic story progression can be missed. That includes collectible pickups, optional combat or stealth conditions, shop goals and ending-related choices.
One careful run versus a cleanup replay

Continue the story normally while protecting your decision saves. When the game presents a clear ending choice, stop and create a manual save before selecting an option. Complete the first outcome, then reload only if you need the alternate outcome and the achievement list for your platform requires both.
Combat and stealth requirements
Read each newly unlocked achievement description on your platform and attempt its condition during the relevant encounter rather than assuming it can be repeated later. If an achievement calls for a particular combat or stealth approach, make a manual save before the encounter when possible. This is safer than expecting a post-story mission replay menu that the game does not provide.
Shop achievements: a version-sensitive warning
Two PlayStation 5 shop trophies have a reported tracking problem in a 2026 PowerPyx guide:
- What’re Ya Buyin? — spend at least 666 coins.
- What’re Ya Sellin? — earn 999 coins by selling.
The guide reported that each tracker stopped increasing after the first shop and advised pursuing both thresholds at that first shop. This was a third-party observation, not an official bug notice, and a later patch may change the behavior. Before committing to that route, check the trophy tracker on your current PS5 version. If the counter is advancing normally, continue with the in-game requirements; if it stops, reload your earliest shop save and complete the threshold there.
Do not spend all of your coins before checking the counter. Keep a shop save, note your balance before the transaction, and confirm the tracker afterward. The thresholds are cumulative requirements, so record spending and selling separately rather than treating a single purchase as proof that both trophies are progressing.

Use a rolling set of manual saves
Do not overwrite every manual slot with the newest location. Keep at least one early-game safety save, one save before each major story transition and one save before each ending or shop decision. Rotate the remaining slots for area-clear saves. This gives you several recovery points without sacrificing the ability to return to a critical choice.
If you discover a missed collectible
- Stop advancing the story and check your checklist against the last confirmed area.
- Load the newest manual save made before leaving that area.
- Repeat the sweep, confirming every firearm, recipe object and pillar interaction.
- Update the checklist and create a new area-clear save before moving on.
If no save reaches the missed area, the reported lack of Chapter Select and post-story free roam means the practical remedy is a replay. A careful checklist is therefore faster than trying to reconstruct missing progress at the end.
If a recipe will not complete
Check three separate possibilities: the recipe was never discovered, it was discovered but not crafted, or it was crafted and simply was not recorded. Because ingredient availability is random and supplies are limited, do not burn materials on repeated guesses. Compare your written list with the inventory and reload a known save if you need to recover ingredients.

If a trophy or achievement does not unlock
First verify the platform-specific condition and whether the action occurred on the current save. Then check that every item in the relevant checklist is marked completed, not merely seen. For the two PS5 shop trophies, inspect the tracker before spending time on a full replay because the reported issue is version-dependent.
