To track an Amazon order, open Your Orders, find the order, select Track package, then choose All updates. What to do next depends on the status: a late package, a delivered scan with no package, an item missing from a parcel, and an undeliverable order each have a different resolution path. These steps reflect Amazon’s help pages accessed October 9, 2026; available options may vary by marketplace, shipping method, and order.
How to track an Amazon order
- Open Your Orders and find the order you want to check.
- Select Track package.
- Select All updates to see delivery updates and, when available, the tracking number.
- If the order contains several products, check each shipment separately. Items in one order can have different delivery dates and tracking details.
Amazon’s tracking help describes Arriving as a package on its way, Out for delivery as due that day, Delivered as delivered and possibly left in a safe place, and Undeliverable as a package that could not be delivered and is being returned. A status is a useful guide, not proof of the package’s precise location. Amazon: Tracking your package
If tracking is unavailable, Amazon says some packages—including some standard international deliveries—may not be trackable. For an order from a third-party seller, tracking appears only if the seller provides the information and the selected shipping option supports it.

- In Your Orders, check the estimated delivery date and the latest status.
- If the package has shipped, Amazon says it cannot be cancelled.
- If it has not arrived, allow for the possibility that it is still in transit. Amazon’s general guidance is that most late parcels arrive within 48 hours of the estimated delivery date; that is not a guarantee for an individual order.
If tracking says delivered but you can’t find the package
Amazon’s guidance is to troubleshoot the delivery before assuming the package was stolen. Follow these checks in order:

- Confirm that the shipping address shown in the order is correct.
- Check the Amazon Message Center, delivery confirmation, mailbox, and any delivery photo.
- Review the delivery location and instructions in Your Addresses. The driver may have left the package at a requested location.
- Ask household members and neighbors whether they accepted it.
- Wait 48 hours. Amazon notes that “Packages may be scanned as delivered before arrival.”
- Check with the carrier, which may have more information about the package’s location.
- If it is still missing, contact the third-party seller when that seller shipped and sold the order. For a package shipped by Amazon, contact Customer Service within 30 days of the expected delivery date.

If an item is missing from a package that arrived
- Open Your Orders and check whether the missing item is in a separate shipment. If it is, review that shipment’s tracking.
- If the item was shipped by Amazon and has no tracking information, contact Customer Service.
- If it was shipped and sold by a third-party seller, contact that seller through the order.
- If only part of a product is missing, inspect the product packaging. Amazon’s help guidance suggests contacting the manufacturer or using the available return or replacement option when appropriate.
If the order is marked undeliverable
Amazon says an undeliverable package is returned and refunded; it cannot be reshipped, so you may need to place a new order. Amazon’s stated refund timing is within seven business days after it receives the return. Some banks may then take an additional three to five business days to process the refund.

For an order shipped and sold by a third-party seller, contact the seller. Amazon says you may be eligible for an A-to-z Guarantee if you are dissatisfied with the seller’s solution or the seller does not respond within two business days. Amazon: Undeliverable Packages

Amazon lists possible causes such as package damage, an unreadable shipping label, an inaccessible address or missing access information, delivery restrictions, and unsuccessful access attempts. These are examples, not a diagnosis of a particular order.

Who to contact about an order problem
Start in Your Orders to track the package and manage most issues. For Amazon-shipped orders, use Amazon’s Customer Service options; its help library directs customers there for 24/7 help and lists phone, chat, email, and self-service support. For an order shipped by a third-party seller, use the seller-contact option associated with that order.
When you contact support or the seller, have the order open and be ready to give the exact status, expected delivery date, and checks you have already completed. This can help explain the problem clearly; Amazon does not specify it as a required script or document.
