On Donut SMP, regular players teleport through teleport requests rather than unrestricted vanilla coordinate teleportation. Use /tpa <player> to ask to go to someone, or /tpahere <player> to ask someone to come to you. The other player must accept the request unless they have automatic acceptance enabled.

Teleport to another player

Use this command when you want to travel to another player’s current location:

/tpa <player>

For example:

/tpa Steve

Donut SMP also lists these aliases:

  • /tp <player>
  • /teleport <player>

These commands create a teleport request. They are not the same as an unrestricted operator-style /tp <x> <y> <z> command. The current Donut SMP command reference documents the player-target form as a teleport request for everyone.

Ask another player to teleport to you

To invite someone to your location, run:

/tpahere <player>

Example:

/tpahere Alex

The available aliases are:

  • /tphere <player>
  • /teleporthere <player>

This is useful when you are already at a base, farm, event area, or mining location and want another player to join you.

Accept or deny a teleport request

When another player sends you a request, use the player’s name with the appropriate command:

Action Command
Accept a request /tpaccept <player>
Deny a request /tpadeny <player>

For example:

/tpaccept Steve
/tpadeny Alex

The current Donutpedia syntax includes the <player> argument. Do not assume that a no-argument form such as /tpaccept or /tpdeny is supported by the current server command set. Also note that the documented denial command is /tpadeny, not /tpdeny.

Cancel a teleport request

To cancel a request you sent, use:

/tpacancel <player>

Example:

/tpacancel Steve

This cancels the last pending teleport request or the request directed to the specified player. The current command list does not document /tpcancel; use /tpacancel instead.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Automatically accept teleport requests

You can toggle automatic acceptance with:

/tpauto

Because this command toggles the setting, running it again may switch automatic acceptance back off. Check the confirmation message after using it, especially before sharing your username publicly.

Save and use a personal home

Homes let you return to a saved position without asking another player for a teleport.

  1. Stand at the location you want to save.
  2. Run /sethome.
  3. Return later with /home <id>, replacing <id> with the home identifier assigned by the server.
/sethome
/home <id>

The current syntax for setting a home has no name argument. In other words, use /sethome, not /sethome base. The new home is inserted into the next available slot.

To view your saved homes, run:

/home

With no ID, /home opens the saved-homes GUI. The current command reference confirms the GUI but does not specify the exact entry names or button labels, so those may need to be read directly in-game.

Delete a saved home with:

/delhome <id>

The home identifier can be a word or a number, depending on the identifier shown for that home.

Use a team home

If your team has a shared location, set it while standing at that location:

/team sethome

Teleport to spawn, a warp, or a random region

Destination Command What it does
Spawn lobby /spawn <lobby> Teleports to the specified spawn lobby.
Choose a spawn lobby /spawn Opens the spawn-lobby selection GUI.
Spawn warp /warp <location> Teleports to a useful location at spawn.
Random location /rtp <region> Randomly teleports somewhere in the selected region.
Choose an RTP region /rtp Opens the region-selection GUI.

The command reference does not list the exact region, lobby, or warp names available on the server. If you do not know the argument, use the no-argument GUI form where one is available, or inspect the server’s suggestions after typing the command.

Return to your previous location

Use:

/world

This returns you to the location visited before using a teleport-related command. It can be useful if you accidentally leave an area with /spawn, /rtp, a home, or another supported teleport command.

Block unwanted teleport requests

If a player keeps sending unwanted requests, block them with:

/block <player>

/ignore <player> is listed as an alias. Blocking a player disables receiving their messages, teleport requests, and duel requests. To remove the player from your block list, use:

Common Donut SMP teleport mistakes

  1. Using coordinate syntax: /tp 100 64 -200 is not the documented regular-player Donut SMP teleport syntax. The current server command table lists /tp <player> as an alias for a teleport request.
  2. Expecting an instant teleport: /tpa sends a request; the target player generally needs to accept it.
  3. Using the wrong cancel command: use /tpacancel <player>, not /tpcancel.
  4. Adding a name to /sethome: the current documented form is simply /sethome.
  5. Using /homes automatically: the current Donutpedia reference documents /home with no ID as the saved-homes GUI command.
  6. Leaving out the player on accept or deny: the current documented forms are /tpaccept <player> and /tpadeny <player>.

What is confirmed about permissions and limits?

The current command table marks the listed teleport commands as available to Everyone. It does not confirm a specific Minecraft version, Java or Bedrock edition, teleport cooldown, warm-up duration, combat restriction, request-expiration time, or rank-based limit. If the server rejects a command or applies a delay, follow the in-game error or confirmation message rather than relying on assumptions from another server.

Can regular players use /tp with coordinates?

That is not the documented Donut SMP player syntax. The current command table defines /tp <player> as a teleport-request alias. Coordinate teleport syntax belongs to vanilla operator or cheat commands and should not be assumed to work for regular Donut SMP players.

How do I set a home on Donut SMP?

Stand at the desired location and run /sethome with no argument. Use /home to open the saved-homes GUI or /home <id> to travel to a specific saved home.

Is /tpcancel the Donut SMP cancel command?

No. The current command reference lists /tpacancel <player>; /tpcancel is not listed.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The Bottom Line

For player-to-player travel, use /tpa <player> and have the recipient run /tpaccept <player>. Use /tpahere <player> when you want someone to come to you, and use /sethome, /home, /rtp, or /spawn for destinations that do not require another player.
