KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS began streaming on October 16, 2026. Disney+ carries the documentary internationally, while Hulu carries it in the United States. On a television, the usual route is to install Disney+, choose Log In, and complete the QR-code or eight-digit activation process at DisneyPlus.com/begin. Roku and Fire TV devices are supported, with Fire TV Stick requiring Fire OS 6.0 or later.

Where KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS is streaming

KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS is a feature-length documentary/music film directed by Nadia Hallgren. Disney’s September 23, 2026 announcement says it streams on both Disney+ and Hulu in the United States, beginning October 16, while Disney+ carries it internationally.

That means the correct service depends on your country:

  • United States: Check Disney+ or Hulu.
  • Outside the United States: Check Disney+ first; Disney’s announcement identifies Disney+ as the international service.
  • Everywhere: The exact catalog, app availability, and account requirements can vary by territory. Do not assume that a Hulu listing or identical Disney+ catalog exists in every country.

The film’s Disney+ editorial listing describes it as a documentary and gives an approximate runtime of 80 minutes. That runtime is an editorial estimate, not a guarantee that every regional listing will display exactly the same duration.

What you need before watching

Prepare the service account and television before starting activation. You will need an active Disney+ account for the Disney+ route, or a Hulu account in the United States if the film is listed there. The title may be included under your existing plan, but there is no single worldwide subscription price: prices, bundles, advertising tiers, and availability vary by country and plan.

  • A supported smart TV, Roku player or Roku TV, Fire TV device, or a separate casting/HDMI setup.
  • A reliable internet connection connected to both the streaming device and, when applicable, your phone or computer.
  • The email address and password for the service account.
  • Several minutes for app installation, device updates, and activation.

Use the television’s official app store rather than installing an unofficial package. If the Disney+ app is missing, first check the TV’s country setting and system software; territorial availability can affect which apps appear.

How to activate Disney+ on a smart TV

The activation flow is similar on many Samsung, LG, Hisense, Vizio, Android TV, and other supported televisions. Menu names can differ slightly by manufacturer, but the Disney+ steps are consistent.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Connect the TV to the internet and open its app store.
  2. Search for Disney+ and install the official app. If it is already installed, launch it and install any offered update.
  3. Open Disney+ and select Log In. The TV will show a QR code, an eight-digit code, or both.
  4. Scan the QR code with a phone, or open DisneyPlus.com/begin on a phone or computer.
  5. Sign in to the Disney+ account when prompted.
  6. Enter the eight-digit code shown on the television. Enter it exactly as displayed; do not add spaces or substitute a zero for the letter O.
  7. Complete the confirmation prompts. The television should refresh and display the Disney+ home screen.
  8. Use search to enter KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, open the matching title page, and select Play.

Keep the activation screen open until the process finishes. Codes are temporary; if the page says the code has expired, return to the TV app, choose the sign-in option again, and use the newly generated code.

If the smart-TV app cannot be found

Confirm that the TV is one of Disney’s supported device families, including Hisense, LG televisions using webOS, Samsung televisions using Tizen, Vizio SmartCast, Android TV, and other TV-connected platforms. Support and catalog availability may differ by territory, model year, and operating-system version.

Restart the television, check for a system update, and search the app store again. If Disney+ still is not offered, use a supported Roku or Fire TV device, cast from a compatible phone or computer, or connect the playback device by HDMI.

How to watch on Roku

Disney’s support documentation lists Disney+ support for Roku Streaming Stick models, Roku Express and Express+, Roku Premiere and Premiere+, Roku Ultra and Ultra LT, and Roku TV models in both 2K and 4K versions.

Roku setup steps

  1. Connect the Roku player or Roku TV to the television and complete the initial internet setup.
  2. From the Roku home screen, open Streaming Store or Search, depending on the Roku interface.
  3. Find Disney+ and choose Add app or the equivalent install command.
  4. Launch Disney+ and select Log In.
  5. Use the QR code or visit DisneyPlus.com/begin on another device.
  6. Sign in, enter the eight-digit code from the Roku screen, and wait for the app to return to its home page.
  7. Search for KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS and start playback.

If Roku asks to restart after installation, allow the restart before opening Disney+. A current Roku system and current Disney+ app reduce sign-in and playback errors.

Roku-specific problems

  • The app is not listed: Check the Roku account’s country and the device’s region. App availability is territory-dependent.
  • The code fails: Generate a fresh code on the TV and enter it promptly. Codes can expire while the sign-in page remains open.
  • Video stutters: Restart the Roku, test another streaming app, and move the player closer to the wireless router if the connection is weak.
  • The app closes: Update Roku, restart it, and reinstall Disney+ if the problem continues.

How to watch on Fire TV

Disney+ supports Amazon Fire TV devices, including Fire TV Stick models running Fire OS 6.0 or later. Older Fire TV hardware or devices using an earlier operating system may not be compatible with the current app.

Fire TV setup steps

  1. Connect the Fire TV device to an HDMI port and switch the television to that input.
  2. Connect Fire TV to Wi-Fi and install any pending Fire OS update.
  3. Open the Amazon Appstore from the Fire TV home screen.
  4. Search for Disney+ and select Get or Download.
  5. Open Disney+ and choose Log In.
  6. Scan the displayed QR code or open DisneyPlus.com/begin on a phone or computer.
  7. Sign in to Disney+, enter the eight-digit code shown on Fire TV, and finish the prompts.
  8. Return to Fire TV, search for KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, and select Play.

To check the operating-system requirement, open Settings > My Fire TV > About. The exact labels can vary by Fire TV generation, but the device information page shows the installed Fire OS version. If it is below 6.0 and no update is offered, use a newer supported Fire TV device, Roku, a compatible smart-TV app, casting, or HDMI instead.

Fire TV troubleshooting

  • Disney+ will not install: Verify that the device has free storage, is signed in to the correct Amazon account, and runs Fire OS 6.0 or later.
  • The Appstore shows a different result: Check the Fire TV country and Amazon account region. Store listings are not identical worldwide.
  • Playback is black or freezes: Restart Fire TV from Settings > My Fire TV > Restart, then reopen Disney+.
  • Audio and video are out of sync: Stop playback, restart the app, and check the television or receiver’s audio-processing settings.

Other supported televisions and connection methods

Disney lists support across additional TV-connected platforms, including Apple TV, Chromecast, PlayStation, Xbox, and other compatible devices. The same account activation pattern generally applies: install the official Disney+ app, choose Log In, and complete the QR-code or code-based sign-in.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Casting from a phone or computer

If the television does not offer a native Disney+ app, use a supported casting path. Connect the phone or computer and the receiving TV or streaming device to the same network, open Disney+, select the cast control, choose the television, and start the film. Keep the sending device awake until playback begins. Casting controls and supported receivers vary by operating system and territory.

Easily discover what to watch from hundreds of thousands of movies and TV episodes (subscription fees may apply), including free, ad-supported content.
  • Getting set up is easy – Plug in and connect to Wi-Fi for smooth streaming.

Using HDMI

An HDMI connection is a practical fallback when the TV’s app store does not list Disney+. Connect the phone, tablet, computer, or supported streaming device to an available HDMI input, select that input on the TV, and play the film in the Disney+ app or browser. A stable connection and a compatible adapter are required; some mobile devices need a separate USB-C or Lightning video adapter.

Using Hulu in the United States

In the United States, Disney’s release announcement confirms Hulu availability beginning October 16, 2026. Open the Hulu app on a supported smart TV, Roku, Fire TV, game console, or other connected device, sign in, and search for KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS.

If the title appears on Disney+ but not Hulu, use Disney+. Catalog placement can change by service, plan, and date. Outside the United States, do not assume that Hulu carries the film; the announcement identifies Disney+ as the international service.

Finding the correct title

Search for the full title, including the colon: KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS. Search results may show music videos, trailers, artist pages, or unrelated entries before the feature. Open the result identified as a documentary or music film and check that the director is Nadia Hallgren. The official title page lists six cast members.

Playback and picture-quality checks

Start playback a few minutes before you plan to watch so the app can complete any account or device checks. If the image quality begins low, allow the stream time to adapt before changing settings. Avoid downloading large files or running several high-bandwidth streams on the same connection during playback.

  • Use the strongest available Wi-Fi signal, or Ethernet where the device supports it.
  • Keep the streaming device’s firmware and Disney+ app current.
  • Check that the TV is set to the HDMI input used by the Roku or Fire TV device.
  • For external speakers or receivers, confirm that the selected audio input matches the HDMI source.
  • Disable unnecessary VPN or proxy connections if the catalog or playback region appears incorrect.

Fast troubleshooting checklist

  1. Confirm that October 16, 2026 has passed and that the film is listed in your service’s regional catalog.
  2. Close and reopen Disney+ or Hulu.
  3. Restart the television, Roku, or Fire TV device.
  4. Install pending app and system updates.
  5. Sign out and repeat the QR-code or eight-digit activation process.
  6. Test another title to determine whether the problem affects the whole service or only this listing.
  7. Try the other confirmed service where available: Disney+ internationally, or Disney+ and Hulu in the United States.
  8. If the native app remains unavailable, switch to casting or HDMI.

Do not repeatedly enter an old activation code. Generate a new one whenever the TV displays a refreshed code. If the film is absent after these steps, the most likely explanation is territorial catalog availability, an unsupported device model, or an account-plan limitation rather than a problem with the title itself.
