To stop cycle-tracking data from appearing elsewhere, turn off the connection that is moving it: iCloud Health sync, a tracker app’s access to Apple Health, Google Fit or Health Connect sharing, or a wearable integration. These controls stop or limit future transfers; they do not necessarily erase copies already stored in each app or account. Use the instructions below for the path you want to stop.
First, identify where the data is syncing
A period record can travel through more than one connection. For example, a tracker may write it to Apple Health, which then syncs Health data to other Apple devices through iCloud. On Android, an app may share selected health data through Health Connect. A wearable may also send records to its companion app.
- App to health hub: A tracker writes data to, or reads data from, Apple Health or another health service.
- Device to cloud or another device: A health service syncs records through an account, such as Apple Health data syncing through iCloud.
- Wearable to app: A watch or other device shares data with its companion app or a connected health service.
Find the screen where the record first appears, then check the relevant app connection and the health hub’s permissions. Turning off one connection may not stop a separate route.

If cycle data recorded in Apple Health appears on another iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch using the same Apple Account, turn off Health’s iCloud sync:

- On iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap iCloud, then See All beside Saved to iCloud.
- Tap Health and turn off Sync this iPhone. The wording or location may vary slightly by iOS version.
This stops Health data from syncing through iCloud; it is not the same as deleting the existing iCloud copy. Apple says that if Health data syncs over iCloud, deleting it on one device removes it from all synced devices connected to the same Apple Account. If you also want to erase that synced data, review Apple’s Health storage management and Disable and Delete controls before proceeding: Apple’s instructions for managing Health data.
Revoke a cycle app’s access to Apple Health
If a tracker is sending records to Apple Health or receiving Health data, change that app’s permissions. In the Health app, open the relevant category or Data Access & Devices, select the app, and turn off the read or write access you want to stop. You can revoke all access or limit particular data types; available controls and their locations may differ by iOS version. Apple explains that app permissions can be managed separately and that apps may request permission to read or write Health data: Apple Health app privacy information.

Deleting the Health app is not a substitute: Apple says removing the app does not itself erase Health data stored on the device or revoke permissions previously granted to apps and sharing recipients.

- In Flo, open Menu (avatar) > App settings > The Health app and turn off Connect to the Health app.
- On iPhone, open Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Flo and turn off all or selected data-point permissions.
Flo’s published instructions explain how to enable the integration; these are the same controls used in reverse to disconnect it. Check the current app interface if labels have changed. See Flo’s instructions for its Health app connection.
Disconnect Clue from Apple Health
In iPhone Health, open Data Access & Devices > Apps and services > Clue, then revoke the relevant permissions. Clue describes sharing qualifying period and flow information after permission is granted, and says its integration does not import previous Apple Health data into Clue. That direction matters: revoking Clue’s Health access stops the permitted exchange, but does not by itself remove records already stored in either service. Disconnect Google Fit on iPhone or iPad
Google’s documented route for disconnecting an iOS device is:

- Select the iOS device and tap Disconnect.
Google also documents a Delete Fit data permissions screen with a control for storing cycle-tracking data. Changing permissions affects future tracking; if you want to remove past records, delete them separately from Google Fit. Follow Google Fit’s iPhone and iPad permissions instructions.

Stop Google Health sharing on Android
Google identifies cycle health as an optional feature in Google Health. Its settings let users turn the feature off and download or delete the associated data. If the problem is sharing from Google Health to another service through Android Health Connect, stop sharing either in Google Health settings or directly in Android settings. Choose the control for the flow you intend to stop: turning off the optional feature and revoking Health Connect sharing are distinct actions. If cycle data keeps appearing elsewhere
- Locate the original entry. Note which app or device was used to enter the record and which account it belongs to.
- Check the health hub. See whether the same record appears in Apple Health, Google Health, or a service connected through Health Connect.
- Review each connection separately. Check the tracker’s own settings, per-app health permissions, and any wearable integration. Clue, for example, documents a separate wearable sync path: Clue wearable data guidance.
- Check other devices and accounts. A transfer may be app-to-hub, hub-to-cloud, or wearable-to-app. Disabling one integration will not necessarily stop another.
- Decide whether you want to stop future transfers, erase existing records, or both. Check the data controls in every service that retained a copy. Apple, Google Fit, and Google Health document deletion separately from connection or sharing controls.
