First, identify which “diamonds” you have. In the global version of Aion 2, NCSoft’s paid currency is called Quna, not diamonds. Diamond Gemstone is a separate gatherable crafting material described by a community map. They are not interchangeable, and the right advice depends on which one you mean.
If you mean Quna, there is no evidence of a universal best purchase. The sensible approach is to check the live shop, your inventory, the character or server limit, and your immediate need before buying. If you mean Diamond Gemstones, you are deciding how to gather and allocate a crafting material used for accessories, high-tier potions and soulstones—not how to spend a paid currency.

What “diamonds” means in Aion 2
The wording matters because the two resources have different acquisition methods and uses.

NCSoft’s official global product notice dated September 30, 2026 names Quna as the currency sold in recharge packs and used for selected shop items. The notice covers the global build that entered Founder’s Pack Early Access on Steam and PURPLE on September 30, with the official launch scheduled for October 5, 2026. Early Access included marketplace and economy features and cash-shop cosmetics, but that launch information does not establish a required purchase or a universal spending priority.

Diamond Gemstone: a gathering material
AION 2 Atlas uses Diamond Gemstone for a material found at gathering locations. Its October 12, 2026 map update lists 356 community pins across Verteron and Altgard. The map authors explicitly say they did not verify every pin in game, so the locations are useful leads rather than guaranteed spawn points, drop rates or an official route.
A 30-second identification check
- Open the item description in your inventory.
- If the balance appears in a recharge or Quna Shop context, treat it as Quna.
- If the item is a gathered material with a recipe or crafting use, treat it as Diamond Gemstone.
- Do not buy a Quna item because a guide calls it a “diamond” unless the live item description confirms the currency.
The rest of this guide keeps the two decisions separate.
If you mean Quna, verify the live shop before spending
NCSoft’s notice is a price and limit list, not a value ranking. Prices are based on the US Purple Store and may vary according to the store you use. Treat the figures below as the listed Purple Store prices, not as universal regional prices.
Where to find the relevant shop sections
- Recharge packs: In-Game Menu → Shop → Quna Shop → Recharge.
- Tsenka Merchant consumables: In-Game Menu → Shop → Tsenka Merchants → Consumable. These are a separate shop section; do not assume every item there is a Quna purchase.
- A2 Mileage: a separate shop and currency system.
- Event starter pack: listed separately from the standard Quna recharge section.
Shop names, stock and limits can change. Before confirming a purchase, read the current item tooltip and the displayed limit on your own character and server.
Listed US Purple Store recharge packs
| Quna | Listed price | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| 400 | $5.99 | US Purple Store listing in NCSoft’s September 30, 2026 notice; other stores may differ |
| 1,000 | $14.99 | US Purple Store listing; other stores may differ |
| 2,000 | $29.99 | US Purple Store listing; other stores may differ |
| 4,000 | $59.99 | US Purple Store listing; other stores may differ |
These are recharge denominations, not a promise that a larger pack is better for your account. Buying more Quna only makes sense if you already know which eligible purchases you will make and can use them within their applicable limits.
Examples of Quna-priced items and caps
The notice lists other products as well; this is an illustrative selection rather than a complete shop ranking.
| Item | Listed cost | Published limit | How to evaluate it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resurrection Spiritstone | 100 Quna | The cited notice does not state a character or server cap for this item | Consider it only when a resurrection consumable solves an immediate situation; do not assume it is required for progression. |
| Key: Hidden Cube | 50 Quna | Three per character per day | Check whether you can use the daily allowance and whether the cube contents address a current need before purchasing. |
| Cube Expansion Voucher | 200 Quna | 20 per character | A one-time inventory-capacity decision; buy only when your character’s cube space is actually constraining play. |
| Server Storage Expansion Voucher | 200 Quna | 20 per server | Useful only if shared server storage is the bottleneck; the cap is shared at server level. |
| Character Storage Expansion Voucher | 200 Quna | 20 per character | Compare the need on the specific character with your remaining voucher allowance. |
| Name Change Voucher | 500 Quna | The cited notice does not state a character or server cap | A cosmetic or identity purchase; its value is personal rather than a documented power increase. |
| Atreian Pledge of Allegiance | 1,000 Quna | Four per server | Check the current description and your server-wide allowance before committing a large amount. |
A practical Quna spending method
Use this sequence whenever you are considering a purchase. It prevents the most common errors without pretending that one item is best for every player.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- State the immediate problem. Write down whether you need emergency recovery, inventory space, a daily key, a name change or another specific function. If you cannot name the problem, wait.
- Confirm the currency. The purchase window should show Quna and the exact amount. If it shows A2 Mileage, an event currency or a Tsenka Merchant transaction, stop and reassess; those are different systems.
- Read the cap. Limits can be per character, per server or per day. A character-limited voucher is not interchangeable with a server-limited voucher, and a daily key allowance can expire unused.
- Check your inventory and existing allowances. Count unused storage vouchers, keys and consumables. Buying a duplicate convenience item while an unused one sits in your inventory ties up Quna without solving a problem.
- Calculate the commitment. Compare the item cost with your current Quna balance and the amount you would need to recharge. Do not purchase a 2,000- or 4,000-Quna pack merely because its denomination is larger.
- Buy the smallest amount that solves the stated need. This is a budgeting rule, not a claim that small packs have better value. It limits unused currency when your plan is uncertain.
- Recheck the confirmation screen. Verify the item name, quantity, character or server scope and final Quna total before confirming.
- Record the remaining allowance. Note how many character- or server-limited purchases remain so you do not mistake a temporary purchase for an unlimited option.
Conditional choices for common Quna situations
Your character is constantly out of cube space
Start by checking whether the problem is character storage or shared server storage. A Cube Expansion Voucher costs 200 Quna and is capped at 20 per character. A Character Storage Expansion Voucher also costs 200 Quna and is capped at 20 per character, while a Server Storage Expansion Voucher costs 200 Quna and is capped at 20 per server. The names imply different storage scopes, so buy the voucher that matches the location where items are accumulating. The equal listed price does not make the three interchangeable.
You need a recovery consumable
A Resurrection Spiritstone is listed at 100 Quna. Treat it as an emergency convenience purchase: confirm that you need the consumable now, check how many you already hold, and read the live tooltip for any current conditions. The notice supplies the price but does not establish that buying Spiritstones is necessary to progress.
You are considering Key: Hidden Cube
The listed cost is 50 Quna, with a limit of three per character per day. The relevant comparison is not “50 Quna is cheap,” but whether your character can use the daily allowance and whether the resulting cube activity addresses your current objective. Because the cap resets by character and day, buying a key on one character does not create an allowance on another.
You want to change your name
The Name Change Voucher is listed at 500 Quna. This is an identity choice, not a documented combat or progression upgrade. Confirm the exact character affected and the current name-change rules before spending, especially if your decision depends on a server-wide naming constraint.
Rank #2
- RACE AGAINST DESTRUCTION: Lead a squad of robot-workers to repair the sabotaged dream factory before it's too late.
- STRATEGIC ROBOT CARDS: Utilize Robot cards wisely to complete repairs and unleash powerful abilities.
- EVOLVING CHALLENGES: Machines become increasingly difficult to repair, but you can enhance your Robots' abilities as you progress.
- ONIVERSE SERIES: The seventh installment in the popular Oniverse series of solo/2-player cooperative games.
- EXPANDABLE FUN: Enjoy high replayability with five included expansions, short rules, deep gameplay, and adjustable difficulty levels.
You are evaluating Atreian Pledge of Allegiance
The notice lists this item at 1,000 Quna and limits it to four per server. Because the allowance is server-wide, check with every character that shares the server before buying. The published information gives the price and cap but does not provide a comparative progression ranking, so base the decision on the current description and your own objective.
What the launch numbers do—and do not—tell you
NCSoft’s January 2026 Season 2 roadmap reported more than KRW 100 billion in cumulative revenue as of January 3, 2026, 46 days after the Korea and Taiwan launch, along with more than one million character purchases of memberships during that period. Those are historical regional launch-period figures. They are not a current global spending benchmark, proof that a particular Quna item is valuable, or evidence that paid spending is required.
Likewise, the global Early Access announcement confirms that marketplace and economy features were available to Founder’s Pack buyers and that cash-shop cosmetics were present. It does not identify a universally optimal Quna budget.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. If you mean Diamond Gemstones, think in terms of gathering and allocation
Diamond Gemstones are not a Quna substitute. The community guide describes them as materials that feed accessories, high-tier potions and soulstones. Your decision is therefore whether to gather, craft, retain or sell a material, depending on the recipes and market conditions available in your build.

How reliable is the current location data?
AION 2 Atlas reports 356 Diamond Gemstone vein pins across Verteron and Altgard, with data retrieved October 12, 2026. The authors say they did not verify each pin in game. Use the map to form a test route, then confirm each location yourself. A pin is not an official spawn guarantee, and the count should not be interpreted as a guaranteed number of active veins at one time.
A cautious gathering workflow
- Define the output. Decide whether you need gemstones for an accessory, a high-tier potion, a soulstone or a sale. The destination determines how much material is enough.
- Choose a small route. Select a cluster in Verteron or Altgard rather than attempting all 356 pins. Begin with locations that minimize travel between confirmed observations.
- Verify in game. Mark whether each pin produces a vein, produces a different material, is contested or is currently empty. Keep your own notes because community pins may be stale or inaccurate.
- Measure the route. Track travel time, successful gathers and interruptions over several runs. Do not call a route “best” from a single pass.
- Account for competition. A route with many pins may yield less if other players gather there. A shorter, quieter loop can be more practical even when its map count is lower.
- Reserve a working stock. Keep enough for the recipe you actually intend to make before selling or converting the remainder.
- Recheck recipes after updates. Crafting requirements and availability can change with a season or patch; use the current in-game recipe rather than an old route description.
How to decide whether to keep or sell gemstones
- Keep them when you have a confirmed near-term recipe for an accessory, high-tier potion or soulstone and replacing the material would take significant time.
- Gather more when your recipe is short by a known amount and you have a route you have personally verified.
- Sell or trade surplus only after reserving the amount required by your current plan and checking the live market rules and prices.
- Do not convert map pins into guaranteed profit. The source is community data without full in-game verification, so yield, competition and market value remain variable.
Quna and Diamond Gemstones compared
| Question | Quna | Diamond Gemstone |
|---|---|---|
| What is it? | Paid currency named in the official global shop notice | Gatherable crafting material described by a community map |
| Where do you obtain it? | Recharge packs and eligible shop systems | Gathering locations, with community pins in Verteron and Altgard |
| What evidence is available? | Official prices, shop paths and purchase caps dated September 30, 2026 | 356 map pins retrieved October 12, 2026; authors did not verify every pin in game |
| Typical decision | Whether a listed item solves an immediate need at its current cost and limit | Whether to gather, reserve for a recipe, craft or sell |
| Main uncertainty | Store-specific pricing and the absence of a universal value ranking | Pin accuracy, active spawns, travel time, competition and market conditions |
Mistakes that waste resources
Calling every premium-looking item “diamonds”
Terminology from videos, translations or community posts can differ from the current global UI. Read the item name and currency symbol in the live shop instead of relying on a nickname.
Assuming the Purple Store price applies everywhere
The official notice specifically bases the listed prices on the Purple Store and warns that prices may vary by store. Check the checkout total for your platform and region.
Ignoring the scope of a limit
“Per character,” “per server,” and “per day” produce different planning consequences. A server cap can be consumed by another character, while a daily character cap can expire unused.

Buying first and finding a use later
Quna purchases should follow a defined need. For gemstones, gathering should follow a recipe, reserve target or market plan. In both cases, an uncommitted balance preserves options better than an impulse purchase.
Quick Recap
A final decision checklist
- Have you confirmed whether the resource is Quna or Diamond Gemstone?
- Are you using the global build and the current in-game shop or recipe?
- For Quna, did you verify the listed cost, store, item function and character/server/day cap?
- For gemstones, did you confirm the recipe or sale objective and test the route in game?
- Are you avoiding a universal “best” claim that the available evidence cannot support?
- Have you reserved enough currency or material for your immediate plan before committing the rest?
