The fastest way through Silent Hill: Townfall’s hardest puzzles is to follow the clues in your own game rather than rely on a code list: inspect documents and monitors, tune the CRTV when a signal seems relevant, and check how a clue maps to the mechanism in front of you. For the late-game auxiliary-lines sequence, the command-centre locker code is 0825; the floppy disk in the auxiliary room explains the lever positions, and PC Gamer’s first line is vertical, horizontal, vertical, vertical, horizontal, vertical, horizontal, vertical, vertical.
Why the clues matter as much as the answers
Silent Hill: Townfall is a first-person psychological horror game set in Scotland in 1996. Konami describes it as a full-length, self-contained game for PlayStation 5 and PC, with a September 24, 2026 release date. Its pocket television, the CRTV, can tune into unstable signals.
That device and the surrounding documents are worth treating as evidence, not decoration. In a June 2, 2026 PlayStation feature, Screen Burn Interactive writer and director Jon McKellan explained that the puzzles were designed alongside the story and can reveal information about Simon’s situation. A July 29, 2026 PlayStation hands-on report says CRTV tuning can provide puzzle hints and connect signals to St. Amelia’s and Zoe’s pasts. Those reports support trying the CRTV when a signal appears relevant; they do not establish that every puzzle uses it.

How to approach a puzzle before looking up a code
- Inspect the room and its paperwork. Read nearby notes, forms, labels, and screens before entering a code. Some puzzles translate written details into dates, names, settings, or sequences.
- Check the CRTV for relevant signals. Tune it when the game gives you a reason to connect a broadcast or unstable signal to a clue. Treat what you see as a hint, not a guaranteed universal solution method.
- Match the clue to the mechanism. Decide whether the puzzle calls for a keypad code, a date, a sequence, a setting, or a particular interaction. A clue’s letters or symbols may be tied to the object or display in your own playthrough.
- At a locked door, test each interaction point. A Creative Bloq reviewer reported confusion when one door required both scanning a key card and entering a keypad code. That is one reviewer’s experience, not evidence of a universal bug; if a door remains locked, check for a second control or hotspot.
- Use walkthrough values selectively. Guides are useful for explaining a route, but variable codes and conflicting monitor transcriptions should be checked against the evidence visible in your own game.
Auxiliary lines: locker code and first lever sequence
PC Gamer’s September 25, 2026 guide covers the Part 6 auxiliary-lines puzzle. It warns that enemies are present on the route to the puzzle area, so the sequence is not necessarily encountered in a safe, empty room.

- In the command centre, enter 0825 on the locker to get the auxiliary-room key.
- Reach and enter the auxiliary room, accounting for the enemies along the way.
- Open the room’s locker, take the floppy disk, and use it at the terminal to view its clue.
- Read the disk’s rows as instructions for groups of levers: the first row applies to levers beside one white line, the second to those beside two lines, and the third to those beside three lines.
- For auxiliary line 1, set the levers in this order: vertical, horizontal, vertical, vertical, horizontal, vertical, horizontal, vertical, vertical. The guide says the light beside the final lever should turn green when the line is correct.
This sequence is specifically the first line reported by PC Gamer. Do not infer the remaining line orientations from it; use the disk’s instructions for each group.
Other guide-listed puzzle answers—and when not to trust them blindly
An unofficial puzzle guide reports these values for specific story puzzles. They are useful checkpoints, but they should stay attached to their puzzle context rather than be treated as a universal code sheet.

The same guide says Richard’s case, Box 36, changes between playthroughs: it reports both 486 and 597. Use your own Complete Grid of Codes rather than assuming either number will work. It also warns that some control-room ID transcriptions conflict, and advises reading the values from the CCTV feed when they are visible there. A second fan walkthrough likewise cautions that some codes do not unlock until their associated clue or item has been inspected.

If the answer seems right but the puzzle will not progress
- Revisit nearby documents and screens; a clue may need to be inspected before the corresponding code or action registers.
- For monitor- or camera-based values, read the number from your game instead of copying a disputed transcription.
- For projector slides, compare the agenda images rather than relying only on letter labels.
- At doors and terminals, look for separate scan, keypad, or confirmation interactions.
- For the auxiliary lines, confirm that the correct lever group is being set and use the green light on the final lever as the success signal for the first line.
What is known about puzzle difficulty
There is no named statistic in the reviewed material for completion rates, guide use, or the share of players who find Townfall’s puzzles difficult. The available evidence is qualitative: developer commentary about story-linked design, walkthroughs of puzzle solutions, and a Creative Bloq reviewer’s account of uneven difficulty and an easy-to-miss second door interaction. It supports practical advice to inspect clues carefully, but not a numerical difficulty rating or a claim that every player will struggle.
