Sign in with the Samsung account already connected to your data. On a Galaxy phone or tablet, open Settings, tap your Samsung account name, then tap Samsung Cloud. On a computer, open the Samsung Cloud website, choose Sign in, and complete any verification prompts.
How do I use Samsung Cloud?
Samsung Cloud access uses the same Samsung account on your Galaxy device and in a browser. Choose the route that fits where you are signing in.
Sign in on a Galaxy phone or tablet
- Open Settings.
- Tap the Samsung account name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Samsung Cloud.
- Choose the sync, backup, or restore controls available on that device.
The exact settings and available features can vary by carrier, software version, device, and country. Samsung’s device guidance explains the basic route; check your device for the options it supports.
Access Samsung Cloud on a computer
- Open the Samsung Cloud website.
- Select Sign in and enter your Samsung account details.
- Complete the requested verification steps.
Samsung recommends Chrome for the best browser results. If you cannot remember your account ID, choose Find ID in the sign-in flow. To sign out, open the account menu in the upper-right corner.

What to do if Samsung asks for verification
Browser access may involve two separate checks. First, Samsung may text a code. Later, when you try to access Cloud data, Samsung may request approval on a phone or tablet that is already signed in to the same account. This approval is a device notification, not another text; it may take a few minutes to arrive. Tap the notification and choose Allow. Samsung’s verification guidance describes this prompt.
What you can access after signing in
The browser portal can show synced data and a list of devices with backups. It does not provide individual backup-file downloads: Samsung says, “You cannot download your backups individually.” To recover backup data, use a compatible device and its restore process. Samsung’s backup-access instructions cover the portal limitation.

Sync and backup serve different purposes. Sync keeps supported information aligned across devices using the same Samsung account; edits or deletions to synced information can carry across those devices. A device backup is for restoring data later. On a Galaxy device, the available backup and restore controls depend on that device’s supported features. Samsung’s sync guidance explains synced content and device options.

Why Samsung Cloud options may be missing
- Availability differs: Samsung says Samsung Cloud is unavailable on Verizon phones and tablets and in some countries. Supported features can also vary by device, operating system, carrier, and location. Check the Samsung Cloud screen on your device for the options available to you. Samsung US Support and Samsung India Support describe these variations.
- Gallery content is a regional exception: Samsung US says Gallery photos and videos are not backed up to Samsung Cloud; Gallery sync is available through Microsoft OneDrive. This is separate from signing in to Samsung Cloud. Samsung’s US guidance provides the details.
- Old data may not remain available: Samsung warns that Cloud data unused for more than 12 months may be deleted, with advance notice. It recommends syncing data to avoid deletion; signing in cannot be relied on to recover data that has already been removed. Samsung US Support states the retention policy.
