Godlike.Host offers hosted Minecraft Java servers with its own game panel, SFTP access and free DDoS protection, if you would rather not host it yourself.
Short answer: Tebex is the current name of Buycraft. To connect it to a Minecraft Java server, create a Tebex store for Java Edition, install the official Tebex plugin that matches your server platform, add the store secret key, restart the server, and verify the connection. You can then create packages, subscriptions and other products, test command fulfilment with a manual payment, and publish only offers that comply with Minecraft’s Usage Guidelines.
What Tebex does for a Minecraft server
Tebex is a hosted commerce system for game servers. It gives you a webstore, checkout, product catalogue, payment processing, transaction records and tools for delivering an in-game entitlement. In a typical Minecraft setup, a player buys a package on the store; the Tebex integration then runs the package’s configured server command or sends an event to your own system.
Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteBuycraft is the former name. Tebex’s FAQ says that “Buycraft has been rebranded to Tebex.” Current Java setup should therefore use Tebex documentation and the current Tebex plugin, not an old plugin identified only as Buycraft.
The service is not a Mojang or Microsoft store. Your server business remains responsible for the products, prices, disclosures, player support, privacy obligations and compliance with Minecraft’s rules.

Before you begin: requirements and decisions
- A running server: You need a Minecraft Java server for Java integration, or a supported PocketMine or Nukkit server for Bedrock.
- Supported Java platform: The official Java integrations cover Bukkit, Spigot, PaperSpigot, Sponge, Bungeecord, Velocity and Fabric. Choose the integration for the platform that actually executes your player commands.
- Store access: You need a Tebex account, a store configured for the correct edition, and permission to manage game-server integrations.
- Operational access: Keep access to the server console and its filesystem. You will need to place a plugin file in the plugins directory and edit its configuration.
- A product policy: Decide whether each offer is cosmetic, access-related, a non-competitive entitlement, a subscription or a server-wide reward. Check the gameplay and legal implications before publishing.
- A support and refund process: State exactly what a buyer receives, how long it lasts, whether it renews, and what happens if a player asks for a refund or disputes a payment.
Set up a Tebex store for Minecraft Java
1. Create or select the store
In the Tebex control panel, create a store and choose Minecraft Java Edition. Do not configure a Java store for a Bedrock-only server, or vice versa. The edition determines which integration and fulfilment path you use.
2. Find the game-server secret key
Open the control panel’s game-server integrations area and locate the secret key for the store. Treat this key like a password: do not paste it into public chat, screenshots, source-control repositories or client-side files. If you believe it has been exposed, rotate it in the control panel and update the server configuration.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3. Record the store’s commercial details
Before adding products, write down the currency, tax presentation, renewal terms, refund policy and support contact that buyers will see. Product pages should make the entitlement and price understandable before checkout; avoid relying on an in-game command name as the product description.
Install Tebex on a Java server
1. Match the plugin to the server platform
Download the official Tebex integration for your exact platform. A plugin built for one platform or an incompatible server version may load partially, fail to connect or behave unpredictably. The old Buycraft-branded Java plugins are deprecated, so use the current Tebex package.
2. Stop the server and copy the JAR
- Stop the server cleanly from its console or hosting control panel.
- Open the server’s main directory and then its
pluginsdirectory. - Place the downloaded Tebex plugin JAR in that directory. Do not extract the JAR or put it in a client-side mods folder.
- Start the server and allow the plugin to generate its configuration files.
3. Enter the secret key
Open the Tebex configuration generated in the plugin’s folder and enter the store secret key in the designated key field. Preserve the file’s syntax and indentation. Remove accidental leading or trailing spaces from the key, then save the file.

Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
4. Restart and verify
Restart the server after saving the key. Read the startup log for the Tebex plugin-enabled or connected message, then run the information or status command documented for your integration. If the command reports the store and server as linked, the basic connection is complete. Perform this check from an operator account and from the console where the integration supports both.
Common Java connection failures
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| The plugin is not listed at startup | Wrong folder, damaged download or incompatible platform | Confirm the JAR is directly in plugins, download the integration for the exact platform, and inspect the first startup error. |
| Authentication or connection error | Incorrect store key, extra spaces or a key from another store | Copy the key again from the game-server integration page, save it without surrounding spaces and restart. |
| It loads but commands do not fulfil | Package command, server permission or platform mismatch | Check the package’s command, confirm the command works when run manually, and ensure the Tebex integration has the required permission. |
| Works on one proxy-connected server but not another | Integration installed on the wrong layer or duplicated configuration | Decide whether fulfilment belongs on the proxy or backend, then install and configure the supported integration at that layer. |
Connect a Bedrock server with PocketMine or Nukkit
The official Bedrock route is through PocketMine or Nukkit. This is different from installing a Java plugin on a Spigot or Paper server.
- Download the Tebex/Buycraft plugin build intended for your PocketMine or Nukkit platform and version.
- Stop the Bedrock server and place the plugin file in its
pluginsfolder. - Restart the server so it generates its configuration.
- Use the documented Buycraft linking command with the store secret key. Enter the key through the server console or the permitted in-game administrator command, not in public chat.
- Run the documented in-game verification command and check the console for a successful connection message.
If the plugin does not load, first confirm that the file type and plugin build are accepted by your PocketMine or Nukkit version. A Java plugin, a plugin placed in the wrong directory or a key containing spaces will not establish the link.
Create products that fulfil correctly
Packages and categories
Tebex provides packages and categories for organising a store. A package should state the exact rank, cosmetic, command, item, access period or other entitlement. Put related products in a category that a first-time buyer can understand without knowing your internal permissions system.
For each package, document:
- What the player receives, including quantity, rank name and any restrictions.
- The price and currency, including whether tax is added or included at checkout.
- Whether fulfilment is one-time, time-limited or recurring.
- What happens when a subscription renews, is cancelled or expires.
- Any prerequisites, such as a particular server, Minecraft username or existing rank.
- Refund, replacement and dispute limitations in language a buyer can understand.
Command fulfilment
The simplest integration is a package that runs a server command after payment. Test the command directly in the server console first. Check spelling, argument order, player-name handling and permissions. If a command gives a permanent rank, do not describe it as temporary; if it expires, configure and disclose the expiry rather than relying on a manual reminder.

Subscriptions and season passes
Subscriptions can deliver a recurring entitlement, but the renewal interval and cancellation behaviour must be visible before purchase. A season pass or limited-time package should show its end date or duration. Do not imply that cancelling a subscription automatically reverses an already delivered entitlement unless your policy actually does that.
Coupons and gift cards
Coupons and gift cards change the price or payment path, so define their expiry, eligible packages, redemption limits and treatment during refunds. Keep a record of promotions so support staff can explain why a checkout total differs from the standard package price.
Test Tebex without charging real money
Tebex’s FAQ directs server owners to use a manual payment for command testing and explicitly says never to test with real money. A manual payment lets you verify fulfilment without placing a genuine card or wallet transaction.
- Create a private test package or use a package whose command is safe to run on a test account.
- Use Tebex’s manual-payment function in the control panel, following the current interface for selecting the test player and package.
- Watch the server console while the payment is processed and confirm that the expected command runs once.
- Check the player in game: verify the rank, cosmetic, balance or other entitlement and its duration.
- Test a failure path, such as an offline player or an invalid command, and record how the integration reports it.
- Remove or refund the test entitlement, delete the test package if necessary, and check that your production catalogue contains no test wording.
Never use a real-money transaction as a connectivity test. It creates avoidable payment, refund and chargeback records and can leave a test player with a genuine paid entitlement.

Webhook handling requirements
- Expose an endpoint that can receive Tebex events for payments, refunds, disputes and other supported changes.
- Validate the endpoint before accepting production traffic, using Tebex’s verification process.
- Return a 2XX response after you have safely accepted the event. A non-success response can cause retries or mark delivery as failed.
- Make processing idempotent: storing an event identifier prevents a retry from granting the same entitlement twice.
- Authenticate the request and keep secrets outside source code and public logs.
- Log enough information to investigate a failed fulfilment without storing unnecessary personal data.
Validate checkout contents
When an integration depends on a webhook basket, verify that the basket contains the expected package identifiers and amount before granting access. Do not trust a client-supplied price or item list. Compare the event with the product configuration in your own system and reject unexpected combinations.
Refunds and disputes
A refund or payment dispute is a state change, not merely a support note. Decide whether your system removes the entitlement, queues a manual review or blocks future fulfilment. Apply the same rule to plugin-delivered and webhook-delivered purchases, and keep an audit trail for staff.

What you may sell under Minecraft’s Usage Guidelines
Minecraft’s guidelines state: “You may host a server for Minecraft. You may even charge for access to the server as long as you follow the guidelines in this section.” The permission is conditional, not a blanket approval for any monetisation model.
Generally permitted categories
- Server access: You may charge for access when the access price is the same for everyone.
- Donations: You may accept donations, but a donor-only usable reward is not allowed. A server-wide reward may be offered when a donation goal is met.
- Non-competitive gameplay entitlements: Offers may add convenience or content only when they do not create a competitive advantage or ruin other players’ experience.
- Cosmetics: Visual effects, appearances and similar non-competitive items are the lower-risk choice, provided they remain suitable and do not mislead buyers.
- Suitable advertising: Advertising must be appropriate for the audience and presented honestly.
- Virtual currency: Currency must not have real-world value or a cash-out path. Do not create a system that lets players redeem it for money or transferable goods.
High-risk designs to avoid
- Paid weapons, statistics, kits or abilities that make a player stronger in competitive play.
- Randomised paid rewards whose value or contents are unclear at checkout.
- Donor ranks that grant usable rewards unavailable to everyone else solely because of the donation.
- Access prices that differ by player, hidden fees or a price shown only after the player joins or signs in.
- Claims that suggest the store is operated by Mojang or Microsoft.
Operational compliance responsibilities
Owners must keep content suitable for all ages, meet privacy and data-protection obligations, provide purchase history for real-money transactions, disclose content and pricing before a player joins or signs in, and require appropriate influencer disclosures. Minecraft’s guidelines can change, so review the live version before launching a new product or changing a monetisation model.
Describe the store as your server’s store or a Tebex-powered store, not as official Mojang or Microsoft commerce. Make your responsibility for the server and its offers clear.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Tebex plan costs and features
The current Tebex server page lists the following commercial terms. They are vendor-published and volatile; verify the live page and currency treatment before relying on them in a budget or buyer-facing copy.

Production launch checklist
- Confirm the store is configured for the correct Minecraft edition and that the integration matches the server platform.
- Verify the secret key on the live server and remove any old or deprecated Buycraft plugin.
- Run a manual payment test and confirm one fulfilment, correct duration and correct rollback behaviour.
- Review every package for price, currency, content, duration, renewal, prerequisites and refund language.
- Check that no package gives a competitive advantage, donor-only usable reward or real-world cash-out value.
- Publish purchase history and support instructions, and explain how players request help with missing fulfilment.
- Secure webhook endpoints, validate event data and test duplicate delivery and refund handling if you use custom automation.
- Check that advertising, influencer posts and store branding do not imply Mojang or Microsoft endorsement.
- Review privacy, tax and consumer-law requirements for the countries in which you sell.
Troubleshooting after launch
A buyer paid but received nothing
Check the Tebex transaction status first, then inspect the server log for the fulfilment command and any permission or player-name error. If the server was offline, follow the integration’s pending-fulfilment behaviour rather than manually granting a second copy. Record the transaction and resolve the underlying command before replaying it.
The player received an item twice
Look for duplicate package commands, a webhook retry processed twice or both a plugin and custom handler granting the same entitlement. Add idempotency to custom code and keep a single authoritative fulfilment path.
A refund or dispute was reported
Confirm the event in the Tebex transaction record, apply your published refund policy and remove or review the entitlement according to that policy. Do not retaliate against unrelated accounts or conceal the purchase history.
The store works but the server is unreachable
Review the server’s outbound network access, DNS and firewall rules, then inspect the plugin’s startup log after a clean restart. Re-enter a newly rotated key if the old one was exposed. Avoid repeatedly changing package commands until the underlying connection is confirmed.
Choosing a safe first catalogue
A cautious launch uses a small number of clearly described, non-competitive products: cosmetic effects, visual titles, optional convenience that does not affect competition, or access priced identically for all players. Add subscriptions only after you have tested renewals, cancellations and expiry. Add external automation only when the plugin cannot meet a documented requirement. This keeps the initial failure surface small while you validate fulfilment, support and compliance.
