On a compatible Samsung Art TV, connect the television to the internet, sign in to a Samsung account, accept the required Smart Hub and Art Store terms, then open Art or Art Store from Home. You can browse the artwork and any free collections available in your market. Samsung describes a subscription as the way to unlock the full premium catalog.
The exact menu names, eligible models, free selections, billing options and artwork counts vary by country, model year and software version. Use the workflow below, but confirm your particular model on the local Samsung support site before assuming that a feature or plan is available.
What Samsung Art Store does
Samsung Art Store is the catalog used by compatible Samsung televisions to display artwork when the set is in Art Mode. The store is most closely associated with The Frame, although Samsung’s United States Art TV page also lists Art Mode on the OLED S95H. The service can show Samsung’s curated works, while The Frame can also display photographs that you provide yourself.
Art Store access is not identical on every Samsung television. A model can have Art Mode but still show a different catalog, menu label or membership offer from a television sold in another country. Samsung’s support pages repeatedly qualify availability by model and region, so the model number and the country in which the TV is registered matter more than the product family name alone.

Check compatibility before trying to subscribe
Confirm the exact model and market
Find the complete model code in the TV’s Settings menu, on the product label, or on the original purchase documentation. Then open the Samsung support site for your country and search that model’s Art Mode or Art Store guidance. Samsung’s United States page describes Art Mode for The Frame and the OLED S95H, while Australian guidance lists a different compatible lineup. Those pages are not interchangeable compatibility lists.
If Art or Art Store does not appear on Home, do not assume that a subscription will make it appear. The television may be an unsupported model, may be configured for a different region, or may need a software update. A local model guide is the authoritative check for your set.
Prepare the account and network
- A working internet connection is required to load the catalog and complete account operations.
- You need a Samsung account signed in on the television.
- Samsung Canada also specifies acceptance of Smart Hub terms and Art Store terms as part of setup.
- Keep the TV software current, because menu labels and available functions can change with software releases.
- Have a payment method available only if you decide to enroll in a paid membership; the available methods and plans are market-specific.
Set up Art Store on the TV
- Connect the television. Open the TV’s network settings, choose your Wi-Fi network or wired connection, and finish the on-screen connection test. A connected status is necessary before artwork or account pages can load.
- Sign in to Samsung. From the account area in Settings or the on-screen prompt, sign in with your Samsung account. If the TV asks you to create one, complete that process and return to the Home screen.
- Accept local terms. Accept the Smart Hub terms and, where shown, the Art Store terms. Samsung’s Canadian instructions identify both as prerequisites for Art Mode services.
- Open Home. Press the Home button on the remote. Depending on the model and software, select Art or Art Store. Some versions expose Art Mode as a tile; others place it inside a dedicated Art app.
- Wait for the catalog to load. The first launch can take longer while thumbnails and account information are retrieved. If the page remains blank, test another streaming app to distinguish a network problem from an Art Store problem.
- Choose a work or collection. Move through the categories and open an item to see its details. Select the on-screen command to display it in Art Mode, save it to your collection, or view the available membership prompt, depending on what your TV offers.
Samsung’s US description says the Art section can include Art Store artwork, personal-photo uploads and free collections on compatible televisions. Seeing one of those areas does not prove that every premium item is available without payment.

Browse collections efficiently
Start with the categories shown on your model
Use the category row or collection tiles presented by your TV rather than relying on a list from another country. Catalog organization can change as Samsung refreshes the service. Open a collection to scan its works, then open an individual piece when you need its title, artist information or display controls.
Save work for later
When a title appeals to you, use the TV’s save or favorite command if one is shown. Saved items are useful when you want to compare free selections with items marked for membership. The wording of the command differs by software version; look for a heart, bookmark or Add to My Collection control on the details screen.
Set the display from Art Mode
After selecting a work, follow the on-screen command to display it. The Frame’s Art Mode generally lets you adjust presentation settings such as brightness, color tone, motion detection or a matte effect, but the controls exposed depend on the model. These display controls change how a selected image looks; they do not expand the catalog or remove membership restrictions.

What is free and what requires membership?
Samsung’s general description is straightforward: compatible TVs may include free artwork or streams, while an Art Store membership is required for the full premium catalog. Free availability is therefore a useful way to try the interface, not a guarantee that every collection can be opened indefinitely.
Recommended Free Tools
| Access type | What it means | What is not established universally |
|---|---|---|
| Free artwork or collections | Some works are available without an active membership on supported TVs. | The number of free works, refresh schedule and eligible models vary by market and can change. |
| Free monthly stream | Some regions publish a rotating, curated selection. | A single worldwide count or identical schedule is not supported by Samsung’s regional pages. |
| Art Store membership | Samsung describes membership as access to the full premium catalog. | There is no one global price, billing term, trial or payment method that applies to every country. |
Why published artwork counts differ
Samsung UK support, updated July 29, 2025, says UK users receive “a stream of 20 pieces of art every month, curated from the 2,600+ available works in the Art Store.” Those figures describe that UK service page and should not be treated as a current worldwide total. Samsung’s UK product page has also described 30 free monthly stream artworks, demonstrating that figures can differ between pages, markets or service versions. Check the local page linked to your account and model before relying on a count.
Subscribe from a compatible TV
- Open Art or Art Store from Home.
- Enter My Art Store, then choose Membership. On some interfaces the same destination is reached through a visible Subscribe button.
- Review the plan, price, renewal terms and available payment method shown for your country. Do not infer these details from a screenshot or offer intended for another market.
- Select the on-screen subscribe command and add a payment method when prompted.
- Complete Samsung’s checkout on the TV. Samsung’s US guidance says checkout can be completed on the television and its current product overview notes that a QR-code route may also be offered.
- Return to the catalog and open a premium item to verify that membership is active. If the item still shows a lock, confirm that the TV is signed in to the same Samsung account used during checkout, then restart the Art app.
The reviewed Samsung pages do not establish one universal current price, plan length, trial or cancellation rule. Those terms are displayed during the local checkout flow and can change, so record the confirmation shown there if you need the renewal date or billing reference.

- PANTONE VALIDATED ARTFULCOLOR: Enjoy stunning colors whether you're watching TV or admiring lifelike works of art. Pantone Validated ArtfulColor brings your favorite artwork to life for a realistic, museum-like viewing experience.
- SLIM FIT WALL MOUNT INCLUDED: The Frame looks like art for many reasons. When mounted flush against the wall, the gap between the TV and the wall is minimal, creating the illusion of a genuine piece of art.
Use your own photographs instead of store art
The Frame can display personal photographs without an Art Store membership. This is a separate function: you do not need to upload a photo to browse Samsung’s collections, and subscribing does not replace the personal-photo workflow.
Transfer photos with SmartThings
- Add The Frame to the SmartThings app and make sure the phone and TV are available to the same account.
- In SmartThings, open the TV under Devices.
- Select Art Mode, then Add Your Photos.
- Choose the images on your phone and save them to The Frame.
- Use the available artistic-effect or slideshow controls if you want the TV to present the photos as a rotating display.
Samsung’s US support instructions cover this SmartThings path. The exact button placement can move as the app is updated, but the sequence remains the TV device, Art Mode and Add Your Photos.

Import photos from USB
- Copy the desired images to a USB storage device.
- Connect the USB device to the One Connect Box.
- Put the TV in Art Mode and open My Collection.
- Select the USB device, choose the images and save them to the TV.
- Open My Photos in Art Mode to display the saved files.
This method is useful when the images are on a computer or camera card rather than a phone. It also avoids consuming an Art Store membership slot because the files are your own content.
Regional and software differences to expect
| Samsung page | Useful information | Scope limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung US Art TV page | Describes Art Mode on The Frame and OLED S95H and mentions Art Store, personal photos and free collections. | United States product information; not a global compatibility list. |
| Samsung Canada support | Lists internet, Samsung account and acceptance of Smart Hub and Art Store terms as setup requirements. | Canadian guidance; requirements and labels can differ elsewhere. |
| Samsung UK support | Provides the UK-specific 20-piece monthly stream and 2,600-plus-work description, updated July 29, 2025. | Counts are not guaranteed for other countries or future catalog versions. |
| Samsung Australia support | Explains subscription enrollment for The Frame and presents an Australian-compatible lineup. | Australian model and subscription context; do not merge it with US or UK offers. |
Samsung can change menu labels, artwork availability and account behavior through software updates. A missing feature can therefore mean either that the model is unsupported or that the TV needs an update. Check the local support page first, then install any available firmware update and reopen Art Store.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
Art or Art Store is missing
- Confirm the full model code and compare it with the local Samsung compatibility guidance.
- Verify that the TV is connected to the internet rather than only connected to a home router.
- Sign in to a Samsung account and accept Smart Hub terms.
- Install available TV software updates, then power the set off and on.
- Check the region configured for the television; a model sold for another market may expose different services.
The catalog opens but images do not load
- Run the network test in Settings and try another streaming service.
- Restart the router and TV if other online services also fail.
- Open the item again after the connection is restored; thumbnails may need to be downloaded again.
- If only one title fails, try another collection. Artwork can be removed or changed by Samsung.
A premium item remains locked after subscribing
- Check that the TV uses the Samsung account that completed checkout.
- Open My Art Store > Membership and look for the active-status or account details page.
- Restart the Art app or TV so the account entitlement can refresh.
- Review the checkout confirmation for failed payment or an incomplete QR-code transaction.
- Contact Samsung support for the country where the membership was purchased if the account still shows no entitlement.
SmartThings cannot send a photo
- Confirm that The Frame is registered in SmartThings and appears under Devices.
- Check that the phone has permission to access the selected photos.
- Keep the phone and TV online while the transfer is in progress.
- Use the USB method through the One Connect Box if the app transfer continues to fail.
Choose the approach that fits your use
| Your goal | Best route | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Occasionally change the picture without paying | Open Art and use the free works or stream shown on your TV. | It gives access to the selections Samsung currently makes available in your market. |
| Browse the broadest Samsung selection | Subscribe through My Art Store > Membership if the local plan is acceptable. | Samsung describes membership as access to the full premium catalog. |
| Display family or travel photographs | Use SmartThings or USB and open My Photos. | Personal images do not require Art Store membership on The Frame. |
| Buy for a different country or an older model | Check that country’s support page and the exact model before purchase. | Compatibility, catalog size and billing offers are regional and model-dependent. |
Questions to check before paying
- Does the exact model code support Art Store in the country where it is being used?
- What free works or stream does the TV show today?
- What price, renewal interval and payment method appear in the local checkout?
- Is the Samsung account signed in on the TV the same account that will be billed?
- Would displaying personal photos meet the need without a subscription?
