To target 90 FPS in Free Fire, use a BlueStacks 5 Pie 64-bit instance, select the ASUS ROG 2 device profile, enable high frame rate, set BlueStacks’ frame-rate slider to 240, turn off V-Sync in your GPU software, and restart the emulator. These settings follow BlueStacks’ May 5, 2024 90-FPS guide, but they are a configuration target—not a promise that every computer or Free Fire version will sustain 90 FPS.
What the 90 FPS setting actually means
BlueStacks separates the emulator’s frame-rate cap from the frame rate a game ultimately renders. The 240 value in the procedure is the number entered in BlueStacks’ own FPS slider. It is not a claim that Free Fire will run at 240 FPS, nor does it guarantee a sustained 90 FPS result. BlueStacks says its high-frame-rate controls apply only to games that support higher frame rates.
Free Fire, your BlueStacks build, Windows, graphics driver, processor, memory allocation, thermal conditions and monitor all affect the displayed result. The vendor documentation supplies a repeatable setup for pursuing 90 FPS, but the reviewed instructions contain no independent benchmark proving that every system reaches or holds that rate.

Use the supported emulator instance
The dedicated BlueStacks 90 FPS instructions identify a Pie 64-bit instance as the target environment. If Free Fire is installed in another instance type, create or select a Pie 64-bit instance first, then install or move the game there. The exact labels can change as BlueStacks updates its instance manager, so confirm that the architecture reads 64-bit and the Android version is Pie before continuing.

Know what your display can show
A monitor refreshes at its own rate. A 90 Hz or faster display is useful when you want to see more than 60 frames per second, but it does not enable BlueStacks’ high-frame-rate option and cannot make Free Fire sustain 90 FPS. In Windows, open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and read the current refresh-rate value. If Windows is set to 60 Hz, the emulator may render additional frames without your screen presenting all of them.
Have enough resources available
For general Free Fire performance, BlueStacks’ May 3, 2024 recommendations are High (4 cores) for CPU allocation, 3 GB or more of memory allocation and High Performance mode. These are vendor recommendations rather than universal minimum requirements. Leave adequate CPU and RAM for Windows and other applications; assigning every resource to the emulator can create instability instead of improving frame pacing.
Configure BlueStacks 5 for the 90 FPS target
1. Create or select a Pie 64-bit instance
- Open the BlueStacks multi-instance or instance-management tool.
- Create a new instance, or select an existing one, whose Android image is Pie 64-bit.
- Start that instance and make sure Free Fire is installed in it. A setting changed in a different instance will not affect the one you use to play.
2. Select the ASUS ROG 2 device profile
- Open BlueStacks and click the Settings icon.
- Choose the Phone tab.
- Under Device profile, select ASUS ROG 2.
- Save the change. If BlueStacks asks to restart, accept the restart before moving to the next setting.
This profile is the device identity specified by BlueStacks’ 90 FPS guide. It does not turn your computer into that phone or add physical hardware; it changes the Android device profile presented to apps.

3. Enable high frame rate and set the emulator cap
- Return to Settings and open Performance.
- Find the Frame rate section and turn on Enable high frame rate (the wording may appear as a high-frame-rate toggle in your build).
- Move the BlueStacks FPS slider to 240.
- Save the settings and restart BlueStacks.
Restarting matters because the guide treats the change as an emulator-level configuration. After the restart, launch Free Fire from the same Pie 64-bit instance. Do not interpret the 240 slider value as the game’s measured output; it is simply the cap BlueStacks specifies for this configuration.
4. Disable V-Sync in your graphics control panel
The 90 FPS procedure requires V-Sync to be off for the BlueStacks App Player process. BlueStacks identifies that process as HD-Player.exe. Use the control panel supplied with your GPU and apply the setting to that program rather than changing unrelated global profiles.
NVIDIA graphics
- Open NVIDIA Control Panel and select Manage 3D settings.
- Open Program Settings and add or select
HD-Player.exe(BlueStacks App Player). - Find Vertical sync and set it to Off.
- Apply the change, close the control panel and restart BlueStacks if it was running.
AMD graphics
- Open AMD Radeon Software and go to the gaming or graphics profile area.
- Add or select
HD-Player.exeas the application profile. - Set the V-Sync or equivalent wait-for-refresh control to the option that disables synchronization for that profile.
- Apply the profile and restart BlueStacks.
AMD and NVIDIA periodically rename or rearrange controls. If your driver uses different wording, identify the per-application setting for HD-Player.exe and choose the option that turns vertical synchronization off. Avoid assuming that a global setting changed for another game applies to BlueStacks.

How to verify the result without misreading the numbers
BlueStacks’ FPS settings include an on-screen FPS display. Enable it while testing Free Fire, play in a representative match or training session, and watch the displayed value rather than relying on the 240 slider. The overlay itself consumes some resources. If enabling it introduces stutter or worsens frame pacing, disable it after you have checked the result.

A fluctuating counter indicates that the system, game scene or background workload is limiting rendering. Because the official material does not provide a benchmark, report the value shown on your own machine rather than presenting 90 FPS as a guaranteed outcome.
Why BlueStacks may remain at 60 FPS
V-Sync is still enabled
BlueStacks explains that V-Sync synchronizes game output with the monitor’s refresh rate to reduce tearing. In its high-frame-rate guidance, enabling V-Sync disables the high-frame-rate option and limits BlueStacks to 60 FPS. Recheck the per-application profile for HD-Player.exe in your NVIDIA or AMD software, turn synchronization off, apply the profile and restart the emulator.

The high-frame-rate toggle or slider was not saved
Open Settings > Performance again and confirm that high frame rate remains enabled and the slider still reads 240. Save the settings and restart BlueStacks. Also verify that Free Fire is running in the same instance whose settings you edited.
The game or instance does not support the requested mode
BlueStacks states that high frame rates apply to games that support them. Confirm that you are using the Pie 64-bit instance named by the guide and that Free Fire is updated through its normal distribution channel. The available frame-rate behavior can vary with the game version and emulator release; the reviewed documentation does not establish compatibility for every combination.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

Check Advanced display in Windows. A 60 Hz output cannot visibly present 90 distinct refreshes per second, even if the emulator counter reports a higher render rate. Selecting a higher refresh option, when your monitor supports it, changes what the display can show but does not alter the BlueStacks configuration or guarantee sustained game performance.

When to use V-Sync instead
V-Sync can reduce visible tearing when rendered FPS exceeds the monitor’s refresh rate. BlueStacks also cautions that synchronization can add input latency, which is particularly undesirable in competitive online games such as Free Fire. For that reason, the 90 FPS setup uses V-Sync off. If tearing is more distracting than latency, you can test V-Sync, but expect the documented consequence: the high-frame-rate option is disabled and BlueStacks is limited to 60 FPS.
Stabilize frame pacing after the initial setup
- Close unnecessary applications before launching Free Fire so the four-core and 3 GB-or-more recommendations do not compete with heavy background workloads.
- Use High Performance mode in BlueStacks, then observe whether CPU temperature or thermal throttling causes drops during longer sessions.
- Keep the FPS overlay enabled only while measuring; disable it if it contributes to stutter.
- Test the same game scene after every change. Changing the instance, device profile, frame-rate controls and GPU profile simultaneously makes it difficult to identify which setting helped or hurt.
- If a driver update changes the NVIDIA or AMD interface, recreate the per-application profile for
HD-Player.exeand confirm V-Sync remains off.
Version and documentation limits
The detailed 90 FPS instructions were published by BlueStacks on May 5, 2024, in Indonesian. The general Free Fire recommendations were dated May 3, 2024, while BlueStacks’ FPS and V-Sync explanations describe the underlying controls. BlueStacks may revise menu names, instance behavior or supported game profiles after those dates. Treat the procedure as the vendor’s documented configuration for that period, and recheck the labels in your installed release if a control is missing.
No reviewed source attributes a benchmark to an independent laboratory or provides a measured organization-year performance figure. The only numeric targets established here are the 90 FPS goal, the 240 emulator-slider value, four CPU cores and at least 3 GB of allocated memory. Your on-screen counter is the appropriate evidence for what your own PC is delivering.
