Open Settings > VPN settings > Bypasser, choose whether selected traffic should bypass the VPN or use it, add the apps or websites the option supports, then connect or reconnect to a VPN location. The available choices depend on your device. Any traffic you route outside the VPN uses your regular connection without VPN encryption.
Choose the right Bypasser mode
Bypasser is a split-tunneling feature: it lets you choose which traffic uses the VPN tunnel and which connects directly to the internet. Two modes are available, though not every platform offers both or the same selection types.

Route via VPN is available for apps and websites on Android and for apps on Windows. Check the controls in your app, since options vary by platform.
Use Bypasser on Windows
- Open the VPN app and select Settings in the left panel.
- Go to VPN settings > Bypasser.
- Turn on the mode you want. For app selection, choose Select apps and check the relevant app. If it is not listed, choose Add apps and browse to its
.exefile. - Connect or reconnect to a VPN location so the selected apps use the configured route.
The Windows guide describes Route via VPN for selected applications. Website and IP bypass options may also be available; use only the selectors actually shown in your current app.

Use Bypasser on macOS
- Open the VPN app and go to Settings > VPN settings > Bypasser.
- Add the app or website you want to configure using the available controls.
- If macOS prompts you on first use, allow the VPN system extension in System Settings.
- After configuring an app, connect or reconnect to a VPN location.
Use Bypasser on Android
The Android guide lists an active subscription and Android 7.0 or later as prerequisites. It says users on Android 6.0 or later but below 7.0 need the Android APK.
- In the VPN app, tap Settings in the bottom bar.
- Go to VPN Settings > Bypasser.
- Choose Bypass VPN or Route via VPN, then select supported apps or add website URLs.
- Connect to a VPN location. Setup for Route via VPN follows the same process as Bypass VPN.
Use Bypasser on iOS
The iOS guide lists an active subscription as a requirement. It currently documents website bypassing only, not per-app selection.

- Tap Settings in the bottom bar.
- Go to VPN Settings > Bypasser > Add website.
- Enter the website URL and tap Add. To remove a site later, use Remove.
Use Bypasser in the browser extension
Bypasser is also available for a browser extension. The setup involves opening the extension settings, choosing the bypass list, selecting Add new, and entering a website URL. Extension behavior is not necessarily the same as routing an app’s traffic through the VPN. Follow the browser-extension steps for that version.
Understand the privacy trade-off
Traffic set to bypass the VPN goes directly over your regular internet connection; it does not receive VPN encryption. A service may also see your regular connection rather than the VPN connection. Exclude only services you trust, and keep sensitive activity on the VPN route. Split tunneling makes selected traffic more vulnerable because it is not encrypted by the VPN.

If the selected traffic does not follow the setting
- Reconnect: After changing an app’s route, disconnect and reconnect to a VPN location; Windows and macOS instructions call for reconnecting after configuration.
- Check the platform’s selector: iOS currently documents websites only. Windows and Android document app selection, while the available inverse-routing options differ.
- Check macOS permissions: On first use, allow the VPN system extension in System Settings if prompted.
- Confirm Android compatibility: The documented app requirement is Android 7.0 or later; the guide identifies an APK path for Android 6.0 or later but below 7.0.
