You can add Bobara to an iPhone or iPad Home Screen in a few minutes: install the app, open it once, enter Home Screen editing mode, choose Add Widget, select Bobara and a size, then tap Add Widget and Done. Bobara’s App Store listing says its Momo character follows local conditions such as rain, snow, wind and thunderstorms, and advertises Home Screen widgets for iPhone plus Night Stand Mode. The exact widget controls and available sizes can vary with the app release.
What the Bobara widget does
Bobara is an app from Lotus Apps, LLC for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Its weather presentation is built around Momo’s onsen changing with local weather. The listing specifically mentions rain, snow, wind and thunderstorms, along with Home Screen widgets for iPhone and Night Stand Mode. That means the widget is intended as a glanceable, visual weather companion rather than a replacement for a full forecast screen.

- Install Bobara from the App Store. The app must be installed on the iPhone or iPad where you want the widget.
- Open Bobara once. Launching it gives iOS an opportunity to register the app’s widget extension. If you skip this step, Bobara may not appear in the widget picker immediately.
- Allow the app to finish its first launch. If Bobara displays an onboarding or permission prompt, complete the prompt or choose the setting that matches how you want to use local weather.
- Use a current release. Widget names, sizes and editing controls are supplied by the app and can change between releases.
- Decide where the widget should live. On iPhone it can occupy space among Home Screen icons. On iPad, the same basic placement flow adds it to the Home Screen, where you can reposition it during editing.
How to add Bobara to an iPhone Home Screen
1. Install and open Bobara
Download Bobara from the App Store, then tap its icon and open it. Opening the app once is important because iOS normally discovers an app’s widgets after the app has launched. If you installed Bobara while the phone was offline, let the first launch complete before trying to add the widget.

2. Enter Home Screen editing mode
Go to the Home Screen page where you want Bobara. Touch and hold an empty area until the app icons begin to jiggle. You can also touch and hold an existing widget or an app icon, but an empty area makes it easier to reach the widget controls without accidentally opening a shortcut menu.
3. Open the widget picker
Tap the Edit or Add control shown at the top of the Home Screen, then tap Add Widget. Apple’s standard sequence is to long-press until the icons jiggle, choose Add Widget, select an app and size, add it, and finish with Done. The wording or position of the first control can differ slightly by iOS release.
4. Find Bobara
In the widget gallery, search for Bobara or scroll through the alphabetical app list until you see it. Tap Bobara to view the widget designs supplied by the installed version. If Bobara is absent, first confirm that the app is installed and has been opened once; then close and reopen the widget picker. A phone restart can also refresh a widget extension that iOS has not yet listed.
5. Choose a widget size
Swipe left or right through Bobara’s available designs. Each preview represents a different footprint on the Home Screen. Select the size that gives you the desired balance between the visual scene and the space available for other apps or widgets. Do not assume that every size has identical information or settings; the installed release determines what each preview contains.
6. Add and position the widget
Tap Add Widget. The widget is placed on the current Home Screen page, usually in the next available position. Touch and hold it to drag it to another location or to another Home Screen page. When the layout is correct, tap Done.

7. Wait for the first weather display
Bobara may need a moment after being added to show its current scene. The app’s listing describes local weather behavior, but it does not publish a guaranteed update interval. If the widget initially shows a loading state, open Bobara, make sure the phone has an internet connection, and return to the Home Screen.
How to add Bobara to an iPad Home Screen
1. Install Bobara on the iPad
Install the iPad-compatible version from the App Store and launch it once. Bobara is listed as supporting iPad as well as iPhone and Apple Watch. The first launch can also expose any location or notification choices that affect the app’s behavior.
2. Start Home Screen editing
Touch and hold an empty area of the iPad Home Screen until the icons begin to jiggle. Apple’s iPad guidance uses this editing mode for adding and managing Home Screen widgets.
3. Tap Add Widget and select Bobara
Tap Add Widget, locate Bobara in the widget picker, and tap it. Swipe through the available sizes and previews, then select the one that fits the page. iPad layouts can provide more horizontal room than an iPhone, but the widget sizes exposed by Bobara are still determined by the app.
4. Place the widget
Tap Add Widget to insert Bobara. Drag it to the desired position while the icons are still moving. If you want it on a different Home Screen page, drag it to the edge and wait for the page to change. Tap Done when finished.

5. Check the result in both orientations
If you use the iPad in more than one orientation, rotate it after adding the widget. iPad may rearrange the Home Screen grid, so verify that Bobara remains where you expect and that the selected size is still practical.

Bobara’s listing says the app follows local weather, but it does not publish a separate Bobara-specific procedure for changing the location inside a widget. The exact controls may therefore differ by release. If Bobara provides an Edit Widget command, use that command first.
Try Bobara’s widget editor
- Touch and hold the Bobara widget on the Home Screen.
- Look for Edit Widget or a similarly named option.
- If a location field appears, tap it and choose the city or location offered by the app.
- Tap outside the widget or follow the on-screen save control.
If no Bobara location option appears, do not assume the widget is broken. The app may use the device’s current location automatically, may configure the location inside the main Bobara app, or may not expose manual location selection in that release.
Check Location Services when the local scene is wrong
- Open the iPhone or iPad Settings app.
- Go to Privacy & Security and then Location Services.
- Make sure Location Services is on.
- Find Bobara in the app list and review its permission. If the app offers a permission choice that allows location access while you use it, select the setting that matches your preference.
- Return to Bobara, open it once, and then check the widget again.
Apple documents a manual city-selection flow for its own Weather widget: touch and hold that widget, tap Edit Weather or Edit Stack, tap My Location, search for a city or choose a saved location, and tap outside the widget. That procedure applies to Apple’s Weather widget, not necessarily to Bobara. Use it as a model for where widget editing controls can appear, but do not expect the same labels in Bobara.
Understand what “local” can mean
“Local weather” can refer to the device’s current location, a city selected in the app, or a location resolved from the weather service. Bobara’s public listing confirms local-weather behavior but does not state which of these methods it uses in every release. If you travel, compare the widget’s scene with the location shown inside the Bobara app and check the app’s permissions before treating a mismatch as an app defect.

Changing the size or position after setup
Move the widget
Touch and hold Bobara until the Home Screen enters editing mode, then drag the widget to a new position. Tap Done when the layout is right. Moving it does not change the weather location.
Replace it with another size
iOS does not normally resize a widget by dragging its edges. Remove the existing Bobara widget and add Bobara again, selecting a different preview in the widget picker. Removing the widget does not uninstall the app.
Use a widget stack only if iOS offers it
Some Home Screen layouts allow compatible widgets to be placed in a stack. Whether Bobara can be included depends on iOS and the widget metadata supplied by the app. If Bobara does not appear as an option when editing a stack, its installed release may not support that arrangement.
Troubleshooting Bobara widgets
Bobara does not appear in the widget gallery
- Confirm Bobara is installed on the same device where you are opening the picker.
- Open Bobara once, quit it normally, and reopen the widget picker.
- Check the App Store for an available Bobara update and install it if appropriate.
- Restart the iPhone or iPad, then try the Home Screen long-press sequence again.
- If the app still is not listed, the installed release may not expose widgets on that operating-system version, or the widget extension may not have registered correctly. Check Bobara’s current App Store compatibility information.
The widget is blank or stuck loading
- Open Bobara directly and wait for its main screen to load.
- Verify that the device can reach the internet.
- Check Location Services if the app is expected to show current local conditions.
- Remove the widget and add it again.
- Update Bobara and iOS when updates are available and compatible with your device.
The weather appears to be for the wrong place
- Open the widget’s context menu by touching and holding it and look for Edit Widget.
- If Bobara offers a location selector, choose the intended city or location.
- If no selector exists, review Location Services permission and compare the widget with Bobara’s in-app location.
- Open Bobara after changing permissions so it can refresh its location state.
- Remember that Bobara’s exact location controls may vary by release; the public listing does not document a universal manual-location workflow.
The widget disappeared after an update or Home Screen change
Widgets can be removed when an app is deleted, a Home Screen page is reset, or a layout is restored. Reinstalling or updating the app does not always restore the widget in the same position. Search the widget gallery for Bobara and add it again. If Bobara itself was offloaded or deleted, reinstall it and open it once before adding the widget.

The widget looks different from instructions or screenshots
Widget previews, labels and available sizes are controlled by the current Bobara release and the iOS version. Follow the control that performs the same action even if its wording differs slightly—for example, an Edit control may replace an older Add label. Do not use an instruction that requires a control your version does not display.

Permissions, privacy and update expectations
Location access is the main permission to review when a widget is meant to reflect local conditions. Grant only the level of access you are comfortable with; limiting location access can prevent automatic local-weather behavior. You can change the permission later in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
The available information does not establish Bobara’s background-refresh schedule, exact weather-data provider, notification behavior or a complete privacy policy summary. Do not infer an update frequency from how often the scene changes. For those details, read the current App Store privacy information and Bobara’s in-app settings.
Because widgets are extensions of an installed app, updates can change their artwork, sizes, edit fields or behavior. After a major Bobara or iOS update, open the app once and inspect the widget’s edit menu before assuming a setting has been removed.

- Touch and hold the Bobara widget.
- Tap Remove Widget and confirm.
- If you want it back, enter Home Screen editing mode, tap Add Widget, select Bobara, choose a size and tap Add Widget.
Removing a widget only clears it from the Home Screen. It does not remove Bobara from the device or cancel any purchase associated with the app.
Bobara versus Apple’s Weather widget for setup purposes
Both can be placed through the standard iOS widget picker, but their configuration is not identical. Apple documents its own city-editing controls, while Bobara’s listing confirms local-weather behavior without publishing a matching sequence. Use the following distinction when deciding what to try:

A practical setup checklist
- Bobara is installed from the App Store.
- You opened Bobara at least once after installation.
- Location Services is configured if you want automatic local weather.
- You entered Home Screen editing mode by touching and holding an empty area or existing widget.
- You selected Add Widget, then Bobara and a size.
- You tapped Add Widget, positioned the widget and tapped Done.
- You checked the widget after opening Bobara and confirming an internet connection.
- If the location is wrong, you checked for Edit Widget and reviewed Bobara’s Location Services permission.
Bottom line
For both iPhone and iPad, the reliable setup path is the same: install Bobara, open it once, long-press the Home Screen, choose Add Widget, select Bobara and a size, add it, position it and tap Done. Bobara advertises local-weather scenes and Home Screen widgets, but its public listing does not document a universal location-editing workflow or update interval. When the displayed place is wrong, start with the widget’s own Edit Widget control, then verify Location Services and the app’s current release.
