For a provisional Global PvE Chanter setup, put Dark Crush, Onslaught, and Recuperation near the front of your skill priority, build your damage loop around Dark Crush, and leave room to use party support deliberately. A recent level-45 Global guide recommends that starting direction, but it is not an official universal meta; check your current skill tooltips and macro behavior before copying it.
What role does Chanter fill?
Recent guides describe Chanter as a melee-oriented hybrid: it deals damage while providing party buffs and situational healing or other support. One guide characterizes the class as an off-healer that can still deal damage solo; a Global-oriented PvE guide frames it as offensive support that keeps pressure on a boss while improving party performance. That combination means a useful setup is not just a damage list. Solo leveling can favor self-sufficiency and damage uptime, while group play may call for pausing attacks to heal, cleanse, or protect allies. Adjust utility to the encounter and your party rather than treating one damage sequence as mandatory.

Another guide highlights Dark Crush’s trigger loop as central to PvE and cautions against reducing Chanter to a weaker Cleric. In practice, the damage loop and support choices coexist: prioritize attacks when safe, but retain access to the utility your situation needs.

How can you use the example rotations?
Short sequence
One current Chanter guide gives this short example: Onslaught → Dark Crush → Spinning Strike.
Longer sequence
The same guide’s longer example is Dark Crush → Spinning Strike → Rushing Smash → Impactful Crush → Dark Crush → Marchutan’s Wrath. It also emphasizes weaving auto-attacks between Dark Crushes. Use the sequences as a starting point for learning how attacks fit around Dark Crush, not as a reason to ignore mechanics. When a fight requires movement, healing, or another response, interrupt the damage sequence rather than forcing every listed skill.
How should you handle macros and support actions?
A third-party guide reports that a macro selects the highest-priority skill that is ready and that the bottom slot has the highest priority. This behavior has not been verified here against official Global documentation, so test the order in the current in-game interface rather than blindly copying a macro list. [macro guide]

One recent Global guide recommends this direction: Smite → Front or Back Attack Damage Boost → Weapon Damage Boost → Critical Damage Boost → Damage Boost. How should you interpret regional skill names and player data?
Skill names and descriptions can be difficult to map across versions. One class wiki says its English labels and descriptions are editorial translations of official Traditional Chinese skill data and that official English localization was not confirmed. A separate class reference describes Taiwan data as a learning-priority reference, not a tested Global rotation or skill-point allocation. Aion2 Meta reports skill-level distributions from a sample of 63 Global Chanter players as of October 5, 2026, including the share at level 20 or higher for individual skills.
