To alert on PC Jeweller, select the NSE instrument with the symbol PCJEWELLER (shown as NSE:PCJEWELLER in TradingView), choose a price condition, and enable the notification channel you will actually notice. TradingView is the most flexible option for price, technical, watchlist and fundamental conditions. Zerodha Kite is a practical broker-linked alternative with price, percentage, OHLC, quantity, open-interest and volume rules. Groww documents notification controls, but its cited guidance does not establish a specific PCJEWELLER price-alert workflow, so check the current app screens before relying on it.
Choose the right PC Jeweller instrument first
PC Jeweller’s National Stock Exchange symbol is PCJEWELLER. In TradingView, search for NSE:PCJEWELLER and verify that the exchange shown is NSE before creating the alert. Searching only by a company name can return another exchange, a derivative, or an unrelated instrument. An alert attached to the wrong listing can trigger at a different price or fail to match the position you hold.
The same check applies in a broker app: open the equity instrument, confirm the exchange and series displayed by the app, and then set the alert from that instrument’s page. Do not use a current quote, day high or day low as a permanent target; those figures change continuously.
TradingView: the most flexible way to alert on PCJEWELLER
TradingView supports simple price thresholds as well as technical, watchlist and fundamental alerts. Delivery can include an in-app notification, pop-up, email, webhook, sound or plain-text message, depending on the actions you select. A price alert is independent of placing an order: it tells you that a condition occurred, but it does not buy or sell shares.

Set a basic price alert
- Find the symbol. Open TradingView, search for
NSE:PCJEWELLER, and open its NSE chart. - Open the alert dialog. Select Create alert from the top toolbar. TradingView also exposes the command through Alert manager, the chart’s right-click menu and the plus button beside the price scale.
- Define the condition. Select the price condition and enter your target. Typical choices are crossing above or crossing below a level. “Crossing above” is appropriate when you want a notification after the market reaches or moves through an upside target; “crossing below” is used for a downside level.
- Set the frequency. Choose how often the condition may trigger, using the options currently shown in the dialog. A setting that allows repeated notifications can produce several messages while price moves around the threshold; a once-only setting is quieter.
- Set the timer. Choose when the alert starts and when it expires. An expiration prevents an old target from remaining active indefinitely after your strategy or position has changed.
- Name and describe it. Use a name that identifies the symbol, direction and purpose, such as
PCJEWELLER above target. Add a message that will still make sense when it appears as a notification later. - Choose delivery actions. Enable the channels you monitor: app notification, pop-up, email, webhook, sound or plain text. Confirm that your phone permits TradingView notifications and that email alerts are not being filtered.
- Save, then verify. Check Alert manager to confirm the alert is enabled, attached to NSE:PCJEWELLER and using the intended value, frequency and expiration.
TradingView describes price alerts as triggers when a symbol reaches, exceeds or falls below a specified level. The service’s own explanation is: “Alerts help you stay on top of key market events by sending timely notifications.”
Use a technical condition instead of a fixed price
A fixed threshold answers “tell me when PCJEWELLER reaches this price.” A technical alert answers a different question, such as whether an indicator, drawing, strategy or chart pattern reaches a condition. TradingView lists indicator, drawing, strategy and chart-pattern alerts as technical alert types. They can be useful when a price level alone is not enough, but review the indicator settings and chart timeframe before saving: a condition on a five-minute chart does not represent the same event as one on a daily chart.
Alert on several stocks with a watchlist
For a basket of stocks, create a watchlist containing the instruments you want to monitor and use a watchlist alert. TradingView applies one condition independently to each symbol in that watchlist. This is more efficient than creating an identical alert one stock at a time, but it also means every symbol is evaluated against the same rule. Review the list before saving and remove instruments that should not receive the condition.

Use fundamental alerts with appropriate caution
TradingView also offers fundamental conditions for metrics including market capitalisation, P/E, PEG, P/B, P/S, price-to-cash-flow, price-to-free-cash-flow, dividend yield, buyback yield and earnings yield. These alerts can help screen a group of stocks without watching every chart. They are not substitutes for checking the company’s filings or the definition and reporting date of a metric.
TradingView warns that fundamental alerts may be briefly inaccurate after rapid price changes following an earnings release; corrected data is displayed within a few hours. If an alert fires around results, verify the value in the instrument’s current fundamental data before acting.
Zerodha Kite: broker-linked alerts and richer conditions
Kite alerts are tied to the Zerodha account and can notify you on Kite web or in the app, as well as by email. Zerodha states that Kite alerts are free and that it does not charge additional fees. Its documented limits are up to 500 alerts and 200 Alert Trigger Orders. An alert remains valid for 365 days unless it is triggered or you disable it earlier.
Create an alert in the Kite app
- Open the PC Jeweller instrument in the Kite app and confirm the exchange and symbol.
- Tap Set alert.
- Enter an alert name so you can identify the rule later.
- Select the property to monitor and enter its value.
- Choose the comparison operator and create the alert.
Create an alert on Kite web
- Open the instrument page for PCJEWELLER.
- Choose More → Create Alert.
- Enter a name, select the property and value, and choose the required comparison.
- Create the alert, then review the active-alert list for the correct symbol and status.

The documented operators include greater than, greater than or equal to, less than, less than or equal to, and equal to. For example, you can ask for a notification when the last traded price is at or above a target, when percentage change falls below a threshold, or when volume exceeds a value. Select a field whose meaning you understand; an open-interest condition is not interchangeable with a price condition.
A Kite alert notification is informational. If you need an order to be placed after a condition, use the separate Alert Trigger Order facility and check the order’s details, validity and risk controls. Do not assume that creating a normal alert will submit an order.
Groww: notification preferences versus a documented price trigger
Groww’s official notification-management guidance places category controls at Profile → Settings → Manage notifications. It offers on/off choices for product categories including Stocks, Mutual Funds and F&O, and says that changes may take up to 24 hours to reflect.

A category switch that enables stock notifications is not proof that a particular price alert has been created.

Price alerts, exchange messages and order notifications are different
NSE, BSE and MCX send SMS or email notices about transactions on trading days as an unauthorised-trade safeguard. Those messages confirm that a transaction occurred in your account. They do not mean that the exchange will notify you when PCJEWELLER reaches a personal target, and they should not be treated as a replacement for a user-created price alert.
Keep both systems enabled where possible: exchange or broker transaction notices help you detect unauthorised activity, while a price alert helps you monitor a market condition before deciding whether to act.
How to design useful alerts for one stock or many
Separate observation levels from action levels
Create one alert for a level that deserves attention and, if needed, a second for a level at which you intend to reassess your plan. Avoid naming every alert “buy” or “sell” unless you have a written rule that supports that action. The notification service cannot assess liquidity, news, position size or your risk tolerance.

“Crossing above” and “crossing below” communicate direction. A rule that merely equals a value can behave differently from a crossing rule when price gaps through a level or trades around it. Read the condition description in the platform before saving, especially when the target is close to the current quote.

Choose delivery redundancy for important levels
For a level you cannot miss, select more than one available channel, such as app notification plus email. Keep sound or pop-up alerts for situations where interruption is acceptable. Webhooks are useful only if you maintain the receiving service and understand its authentication and failure handling; enabling a webhook without monitoring its endpoint creates false confidence.
Keep a watchlist maintainable
A watchlist alert applies the same condition to every symbol in the list. Group stocks by a shared purpose, such as an index basket or a sector screen, rather than putting every holding into one rule. When a stock is removed from the basket, review whether the watchlist alert should be edited or disabled.

- Symbol and exchange: verify NSE:PCJEWELLER or the correct broker instrument, not a similarly named listing.
- Condition: confirm whether the rule is above, below, crossing, equal to, percentage-based, technical or fundamental.
- Value: check the number, decimal precision and unit. Volume, percentage and price are not interchangeable.
- Frequency: make sure repeated triggers are intentional.
- Expiration: record the end date. Kite alerts have a documented 365-day validity unless triggered or disabled; TradingView uses the timer you set.
- Delivery: test app permissions, sound settings, email routing and any webhook endpoint.
- Market context: know whether the platform evaluates the condition during regular trading, outside-hours sessions or both, according to the current instrument settings.
- Action: distinguish a notification from an order. An alert does not guarantee execution at the target price.
Troubleshooting missed or unexpected notifications
The alert never fired
- Reopen the alert manager and confirm it is enabled rather than expired, triggered or manually disabled.
- Check that the selected instrument is NSE:PCJEWELLER and that the target was not entered on another exchange.
- Review the condition and frequency. A “crossing” rule may require movement through the level, while an equality rule may not behave as expected during a gap.
- Confirm the alert’s timer has not ended and, for Kite, that the 365-day validity period has not elapsed.
- Check phone notification permissions, email spam filtering, sound mode and network connectivity.
The alert fired too often
- Change the frequency to a once-only option if you need one notification per event.
- Use a crossing rule instead of a condition that remains true for every update.
- For a watchlist, inspect each symbol; one shared condition can legitimately trigger for several holdings.
The notification value looks wrong
- Check whether you used last traded price, average traded price, OHLC, percentage change, volume or open interest.
- For a fundamental alert near an earnings release, allow for the brief data-correction window TradingView describes and verify the current metric.
- Compare the alert’s exchange, timeframe and session settings with the chart you are watching.

For several stocks, put only the intended basket into a TradingView watchlist and apply a rule that genuinely belongs to every member. Keep transaction notices enabled separately so that you can distinguish “the market reached my level” from “an order was executed.”
