To monitor India Cements, add The India Cements Limited and confirm the NSE symbol INDIACEM. In Zerodha Kite, open that instrument, choose Set alert, define a price, percentage or other supported condition, and select the app or email notification. For quarterly results, use the event tag beside the stock and then verify the announcement and filing on the NSE quote page. An alert is only a notification; it does not place or confirm a trade.

This workflow combines an immediate warning when the market reaches your condition with a separate process for scheduled company events. The two signals serve different purposes, so keep the price alert, result calendar and exchange filing as distinct checks.

Start with the correct India Cements instrument

Search for the full legal name, The India Cements Limited, rather than selecting the first result that contains the words “India” or “Cements.” Confirm that the exchange shown is the National Stock Exchange and that the symbol is INDIACEM. A symbol mismatch can attach an alert to another security, an illiquid listing or a similarly named company.

Identity check What you should see Why it matters
Company name The India Cements Limited Prevents selection of an unrelated company with a similar name.
Exchange NSE Ensures the quote and event record refer to the NSE-listed instrument.
Trading symbol INDIACEM This is the symbol to use in Kite and when checking the NSE quote page.

After opening the instrument, compare the displayed company name and exchange one more time before creating an alert. Save the symbol in your watchlist so later searches do not rely on memory.

Set a price alert in the Kite mobile app

The following sequence creates an informational alert in Kite. Menu wording can change as the app is updated, but the documented path is to open the instrument and use Set alert.

  1. Open your watchlist or search. Find INDIACEM and open the quote for The India Cements Limited on NSE.
  2. Choose Set alert. Use the instrument’s action menu and tap Set alert. Do not choose an order ticket if your objective is only to receive a notification.
  3. Name the alert. Use a description that states the condition and purpose, such as “INDIACEM below review level” or “INDIACEM 5% move.” A clear name is useful when several conditions exist.
  4. Select the property. Zerodha documents real-time alerts based on parameters including price, volume and percentage changes. For a straightforward threshold, choose last traded price (LTP). For a move relative to the current price, choose percentage change if that option is offered in the alert panel.
  5. Choose the comparison operator. Select the relationship you need, such as greater than or less than, and enter the threshold. Check the unit: a price condition is a rupee value, while a percentage condition is a percent move.
  6. Review and create. Confirm the symbol, exchange, property, operator and threshold, then create the alert. A confirmation should appear in Kite.
  7. Check delivery settings. Zerodha says alerts can be delivered in Kite and by email. Make sure the email address on your account is current if you expect an email in addition to an in-app notification.

Choose a condition that matches the decision

A price alert is most useful when the threshold has a defined action behind it. For example, you might use an LTP alert to remind yourself to review the chart or a percentage alert to investigate an unusually large move. A volume condition can flag activity for further research, but it does not explain why volume changed.

  • LTP threshold: Use when a specific rupee level is the trigger for your review.
  • Percentage change: Use when the size of the move matters more than the absolute share price.
  • Volume condition: Use as a screening prompt, then inspect announcements and market context before drawing a conclusion.

Do not treat the condition as a recommendation to buy or sell. It simply tells the app to notify you when the defined market data relationship is met.

Create or manage an alert on Kite web

On Kite web, open the INDIACEM instrument in your Marketwatch, open the instrument’s additional actions and choose More > Create Alert. Enter the name, property, operator and threshold, then save it. Review the resulting alert in your alerts list to confirm that it is active and attached to INDIACEM rather than another Marketwatch item.

Web and mobile alerts represent the same basic idea, but you should check both interfaces if you switch devices. An alert created on one interface should be visible in the account’s alert management area; if it is missing, verify that you are signed in to the same account and that the alert was actually saved.

Know the difference between an alert and an automated order

A normal price alert is a condition-based notification. It does not submit an order, reserve funds, guarantee an execution price or confirm that a trade occurred. You still have to decide what to do after receiving it and, if appropriate, place an order separately.

Kite documents a separate feature called an Alert Trigger Order. That feature is designed for an order-trigger workflow, so it has different consequences and deserves a separate review of order type, quantity, validity and risk. Do not select an Alert Trigger Order merely because you want a reminder. If your goal is awareness, use Set alert or Create Alert and leave order entry for a deliberate, later step.

Track India Cements quarterly results in Kite

Quarterly results are scheduled corporate events, not price conditions. Kite surfaces them with an event tag beside the holding or Marketwatch item when an event is approaching.

  1. Add INDIACEM to the relevant view. The event tag can appear beside the stock in your holdings or Marketwatch.
  2. Watch the event window. Zerodha says financial-result tags appear from three days before through one day after the scheduled event. Treat that tag as a reminder window, not a guarantee that the board meeting or exchange filing will occur at a particular minute.
  3. Open the stock’s event details. In Kite, use More > Fundamentals to inspect upcoming stock-specific events.
  4. Record the scheduled date. Put the date and your intended review time in your own calendar if the result is important. This protects you from overlooking an event when the tag disappears after the stated window.
  5. Verify the publication. When the company announces results, open the NSE quote page for INDIACEM and check the corporate-announcement and financial-result records.

Event dates can move. A tag is therefore a planning aid, while the exchange record is the authoritative confirmation that a filing was actually submitted and what it contains.

Verify announcements and filings on the NSE quote page

Use the NSE quote page for INDIACEM as the independent checkpoint after an in-app reminder. The page brings together the instrument quote, corporate announcements, financial-result records, annual reports and an event calendar. Open the sections relevant to the question you are answering rather than relying on a headline in a watchlist.

What to check before the result

  • Look for a board-meeting or results announcement and note the date and time stated in the filing.
  • Check whether the event concerns quarterly, half-year or annual results; these are not interchangeable reporting periods.
  • Look for an accompanying notice about an earnings call, investor meeting or other material event if one is listed.

What to check after the result

  • Open the financial-result record and confirm the reporting period.
  • Read the filing classification, such as quarterly and audited, instead of assuming every result is audited.
  • Download or open the attached statement when available so you can inspect the figures, notes and management disclosures.
  • Compare the filing date with the date shown in the app. If they differ, rely on the exchange filing for what was actually published.

Example: the FY2025-26 fourth-quarter filing

The NSE integrated filing identified for India Cements’ fourth-quarter FY2025-26 results states that the results were approved on 25 April 2026 and marks them as quarterly and audited. That date is the board-approval date shown in the filing; it should not be generalized into a permanent annual schedule for future quarters.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

When you open a result with this description, read beyond the first profit or loss number. Confirm the quarter and financial year, then review revenue, operating costs, finance costs, exceptional items, tax, profit or loss, earnings per share and the comparative period. Check the notes for changes in accounting treatment, one-off items, related-party matters or qualifications that could alter how the headline number should be interpreted.

Keep account and transaction notifications working

Price alerts from a trading app and regulatory transaction alerts are different channels. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) says investors can opt for free SMS and email alerts for trading or transaction activity in their trading and demat accounts. To receive those messages, keep your mobile number and email address updated with both your broker and depository participant.

These SEBI-related messages are not substitutes for a Kite price alert. A transaction alert tells you that account activity occurred; a price alert tells you that a market condition was met. Maintain both if you want operational protection as well as market reminders.

Account-maintenance checklist

  • Confirm the phone number and email address shown in your broker profile.
  • Confirm the same contact details with your depository participant.
  • Check spam, promotions and blocked-sender folders for email notifications.
  • Do not rely on a single channel for a time-sensitive event; review the app and the exchange record.

Understand alert limits, validity and corporate-action changes

Zerodha’s current support documentation states that an alert can remain valid for 365 days. The same documentation lists account limits of 500 alerts and 200 Alert Trigger Orders. These are account-level limits described by Zerodha and may change as the product evolves.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Item Documented value Practical implication
Alert validity 365 days Review long-term conditions before expiry and recreate them if the threshold is still relevant.
Maximum alerts 500 Archive or delete stale conditions if you approach the account limit.
Maximum Alert Trigger Orders 200 This separate limit applies to order-trigger features, not ordinary informational alerts.

Corporate actions can make an old threshold misleading. Zerodha states that alerts can be disabled when a corporate action changes the instrument price by more than 2%. If an INDIACEM alert stops working after a split, bonus, consolidation or another material adjustment, inspect the alert status and the instrument history before recreating it. Re-enter a threshold only after deciding whether it should be adjusted for the new price basis.

Choose a trading app using five practical tests

If you are deciding whether an app is suitable for this workflow, compare capabilities rather than assuming every broker implements alerts and events in the same way.

Test Questions to ask What Kite documents
Price-condition flexibility Can you trigger on an absolute price, percentage move or volume, and choose the needed comparison operator? Price, volume and percentage-based real-time alerts are documented.
Notification channels Will the alert appear in the app, arrive by email, or use another channel? Kite and email delivery are documented for alerts.
Result and event visibility Does the app show scheduled financial events for a specific stock, and for how long? Financial-result tags are documented from three days before through one day after the scheduled event; stock-specific events are available through More > Fundamentals.
Expiry and quantity limits How long does an alert last, and how many alerts can the account hold? 365-day validity, 500 alerts and 200 Alert Trigger Orders are documented.
Separation of notifications and orders Is an informational alert clearly distinct from an automated order trigger? Kite documents ordinary alerts separately from Alert Trigger Orders.

Even when an app meets all five tests, retain the exchange as your source of record. Broker interfaces and limits can change, and an event calendar is not itself a filing.

Troubleshoot a missing or misleading alert

The alert never appears

  • Reopen the instrument and confirm the symbol is INDIACEM on NSE.
  • Check the alert list for an inactive, expired or deleted condition.
  • Confirm that the threshold and operator are mathematically reachable. A percentage condition and a rupee condition may look similar but use different units.
  • Check app notification permissions and the email address on the account.
  • Look for a corporate-action adjustment that may have disabled the alert.

The event tag is absent

  • Confirm that you are viewing the holding or Marketwatch entry for INDIACEM, not a different instrument.
  • Open More > Fundamentals and inspect the stock-specific events.
  • Remember that the documented tag window is limited to three days before through one day after the scheduled event.
  • Check the NSE quote page because a changed schedule or newly published notice may not yet match the app display.

The app date and filing date differ

Do not average the dates or assume the earlier one is correct. Use the app date as a planning clue, then use the NSE announcement or financial-result record to establish when the company actually filed and what period the document covers.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

You received a notification but no trade occurred

That is normal for an informational alert. A notification does not submit an order or prove execution. Open your order and trade book separately if you intended to place a transaction, and verify status, quantity and execution price there.

A repeatable monitoring routine

For a low-maintenance process, separate daily price monitoring from quarterly document review.

  1. Set one or more purposeful INDIACEM alerts. Use thresholds tied to a decision, and name each alert clearly.
  2. Review the alert list monthly. Remove conditions that no longer reflect your plan and note any approaching 365-day expiries.
  3. Check Fundamentals before the expected reporting period. Use the event tag and stock-specific event view to identify the current schedule.
  4. On the event date, verify the NSE record. Confirm the announcement and reporting period before reading the numbers.
  5. Read the complete filing. Note audit status, comparative figures, exceptional items and the accompanying notes.
  6. After a corporate action, audit every threshold. A price level that made sense before a material adjustment may no longer represent the same condition.
  7. Keep contact details current. This preserves SEBI SMS and email transaction alerts as a separate account-safety layer.

What these tools can and cannot tell you

A price alert tells you that a defined market-data condition was met. It does not tell you whether the movement is justified, whether liquidity is adequate, whether the price will remain there or whether a trade can be executed at that level. A quarterly-result tag tells you that a scheduled event is near. It does not guarantee the date, predict the result or replace the filed document.

No independent published statistic establishes alert accuracy, notification latency or comparative broker performance for this workflow. Treat the app as a convenient monitoring interface, and use the NSE filing and your own account records for confirmation.
