You can mirror a phone to a Panasonic TV only when the exact TV model supports the phone’s mirroring protocol. For iPhone, that usually means AirPlay; for Android, it may mean the TV’s Mirroring or Display Mirroring feature. Check your TV’s model-specific manual before following a setup path, because Panasonic menus and supported features vary by model and region.
First, decide whether you need mirroring or casting
Mirroring duplicates the phone screen, including apps and menus, on the TV. Casting sends supported content from an app—such as a video—to the TV, so it does not necessarily show everything on your phone.
Before connecting, find the Panasonic TV’s exact model number, usually on its label or in its settings, and check the manual or regional Panasonic support page. Confirm that the TV supports the method you want and that its instructions match your region. Panasonic says feature availability depends on the model; its Canada TV FAQ provides model and support guidance.

Use this method only if your Panasonic TV supports AirPlay. Panasonic’s North American instructions give this general TV menu path: Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Apple AirPlay & HomeKit. Menu names can differ by model, so use your TV’s manual if you do not see these labels.

- On the TV, open Apple AirPlay & HomeKit settings and enable AirPlay.
- On the iPhone, open Control Center. On iPhone X or later, swipe down from the upper-right corner; on iPhone 8 or earlier, swipe up from the bottom edge.
- Tap Screen Mirroring and select your Panasonic TV.
- If the TV displays a four-digit code, enter it on the iPhone.
These steps follow Panasonic North America’s AirPlay guide. Panasonic Japan’s guidance describes AirPlay for some newer, TV-prefixed models, but notes that some TH-prefixed VIERA models lack AirPlay and cannot mirror an iPhone this way. Some may offer TV Share for photos, video, or music; that is not full-screen iPhone mirroring. These are Japan-market distinctions, so check your specific model and region in Panasonic Japan’s VIERA guidance.
Mirror an Android phone
Android mirroring depends on support from both the phone and the TV. Phone manufacturers may rename or omit screen-mirroring controls, and Panasonic cautions that not every device combination works. Its UK guide states Android 4.2 or higher as a compatibility condition for the method described there; treat that as guidance for that setup, not a guarantee for every phone or TV.

- On the Panasonic TV, activate its model-specific Mirroring feature. On some VIERA models, press APPS on the remote and open the Mirroring app. On some Panasonic Fire TV models, the route is Home > Settings > Display and Sound > Enable Mirroring. Certain older TH-prefixed VIERA models use Menu > Network Settings > Mirroring Settings.
- On the Android phone, open its screen-mirroring control. Depending on the phone, it may be called Screen Mirroring, Smart View, Cast, or another name.
- Select the Panasonic TV from the available devices.
- Approve the connection on the TV if it prompts you.
Those TV menu paths are model-specific examples from Panasonic UK’s casting and mirroring guide and Panasonic Japan’s VIERA guidance. Panasonic North America also notes that menu names vary by model in its smartphone and tablet mirroring support page.

If you only want to watch content from an app, casting may work even when full-screen mirroring is unavailable. Panasonic says some TVs support app casting from services such as YouTube and Netflix.

- Connect the phone and TV to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the video in a supported app.
- Tap the app’s Cast button and select the TV.
This sends supported app content; it is not the same as duplicating the phone’s entire screen. Availability depends on the TV model and app. See Panasonic UK’s guide for its described casting workflow.
If the TV does not appear or connect
- Verify the model and protocol. Check the exact TV manual and regional support page rather than assuming every Panasonic TV supports AirPlay or Android mirroring.
- For iPhone, enable AirPlay on the TV. Then reopen Control Center > Screen Mirroring, select the TV, and enter its code if prompted.
- For Android, start Mirroring on the TV first. Use the TV’s model-specific menu, select it from the phone’s mirroring control, and approve the TV prompt.
- For app casting, check Wi-Fi and the app. Put both devices on the same network and select the TV from the supported app’s Cast list.
- Check for protocol mismatch. An older TV may not support the method your phone offers. Panasonic says mirroring is not guaranteed to work across all devices; consult the exact model’s manual for available features and menu names.
Use an HDMI streaming player if built-in mirroring is unavailable
A compatible streaming player connected to an available HDMI input can provide another route for supported casting or mirroring. Panasonic UK names Roku, Amazon Fire TV sticks, and Chromecast as examples, but those examples do not guarantee that a particular player supports your phone, region, app, or desired method. Verify the player’s current protocol and app support before choosing it. For Panasonic’s described casting workflow, the phone and player should be on the same Wi-Fi network.
