Use Samsung Members to run the Galaxy S23’s built-in Battery status diagnostic: open Samsung Members > Diagnostics (or Support > Phone diagnostics), then select Battery status. The result is a diagnostic status, not a documented precise battery-health percentage.
Check battery status in Samsung Members
- Open Samsung Members. If it is not installed, Samsung says you can get it from the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store.
- Open Diagnostics from the Discover tab, or choose Support > Phone diagnostics. The tab names and entry points can differ by app version.
- If prompted, tap Phone diagnostics.
- If a full diagnostic starts, let it run. Samsung’s battery-specific instructions say to stop the full test and choose the individual test if needed.
- Select Battery status and review the result. Which tests are available can vary by device.
Samsung’s instructions describe checking the diagnostic result; they do not promise an exact capacity percentage from this test. Samsung Singapore Support and Samsung US Support document the diagnostic steps and note that options can vary.
Find diagnostics through Settings
On Galaxy devices running Android 12 or later, Samsung documents this alternate route: Settings > Device care > Diagnostics > Phone diagnostics. Choose Battery status if it is available. Menu names and layouts may differ by model and software version. If the route or test is missing, use Samsung Members instead.
What the S23 battery screens can tell you
The Device care Battery page is another place to review battery information and usage. The Galaxy S23-series manual describes Device care > Battery as showing remaining power and estimated time the device can be used; it does not establish a precise battery-health percentage there. The Samsung Members Battery status result is useful as a diagnostic check, but do not interpret it as a measured capacity figure unless the screen explicitly provides one.

When to arrange a battery inspection
Samsung identifies rapid battery drain after charging, unexpected shutdowns—particularly in cold conditions—and other unusual battery behavior as possible signs of battery aging. A battery degradation alert is a reason to have the phone inspected at a service centre. If problems continue, contact Samsung Support or visit a service centre; whether service or replacement is covered depends on the applicable warranty terms. The Singapore support page’s service details are regional and may not apply elsewhere.
Samsung describes a Galaxy battery as a consumable component that naturally degrades over time. That does not, by itself, establish a particular replacement age or percentage threshold for an S23.
