Most eligible Kate Spade Outlet purchases can be returned within 30 days if they are unused, unworn, in good condition, and still have their tags and accessories attached. The item is unused and unworn
Merchandise must be unused, unworn, and in good condition. Do not remove protective packaging, wash the item, alter it, or use it before deciding to return it. A quick inspection for size, color, construction, and included pieces is safer than carrying or wearing the item outside.
Tags and accessories are still attached
Keep every original tag and accessory with the item. For a handbag, that can include detachable straps, dust bags, cards, or other pieces supplied with the purchase. An incomplete return may be refused even when it is within the 30-day window. Keep small components together in the original package so they are not lost during a move from a store bag to a shipping carton.
You are within the deadline
The official wording requires returns and exchanges to be completed within 30 days of the in-store purchase date or the delivery date supplied by the third-party delivery partner. The clock is not based on the date you first request a label. For a store purchase, use the date printed on the receipt; for an online order, use the carrier-recorded delivery date rather than the order date or the day you opened the box.
You have valid proof of purchase
Kate Spade Outlet requires valid proof of purchase. Bring the original receipt for an outlet-store purchase, or have the online order confirmation and order details available. Special rules for certain products
Some categories have an additional packaging or hygiene requirement:
- Swimwear: must be unworn and have the original liner intact.
- Fragrance and beauty products: original packaging must remain intact.
- Legwear: original packaging must remain intact.
These requirements apply in addition to the general condition, tag, proof-of-purchase, and deadline rules. Do not open a sealed beauty, fragrance, or legwear package merely to inspect it if you may return it. For swimwear, leave the liner in place and avoid trying the item on against bare skin.
How to start a Kate Spade Outlet return

Keep copies of the receipt, order confirmation, photographs of the item and tags, and any case or confirmation number. These records do not change the policy, but they make it easier to explain a discrepancy between a receipt and an online form.
Mail versus store return
The available route depends on whether the purchase was made online or in an outlet store and on the instructions generated for the transaction.

The $9 charge applies to the outlet item returned by mail and is taken out of the refund, rather than normally paid as a separate bill. The policy states the Canadian amount as the CAD equivalent. Do not mail an item to a store address found through a search engine or send it without a return authorization or instructions from the official flow. Thirty-day calculation
For an in-store purchase, count 30 days from the purchase date printed on the receipt. For an online order, count from the delivery date recorded by the third-party delivery partner. Start the return early enough to account for the time needed to obtain instructions and ship the parcel; the policy says the return must be completed within the window. Opening a support case or waiting for a carrier pickup should not be treated as an automatic extension.
Original payment method
For an eligible return, the refund is issued to the original payment method. A return is not automatically converted to cash, a different card, or store credit simply because that is more convenient. If the original card has expired or been replaced, ask customer care or your card issuer how the credit will be routed; do not substitute a new card number in the return form unless instructed.
Cash purchases over $200
An eligible in-store cash purchase over $200 is refunded by corporate check. The policy says to allow approximately 2–3 weeks for that check, rather than the normal card-refund posting process. Keep the receipt and the address information requested for the transaction. The published exception specifically addresses eligible cash purchases over $200; it does not promise the same check process for every payment type or amount.

Gift receipts
A gift-receipt return is limited to an exchange for merchandise or store credit at the price paid. It is not described as a cash refund to the gift recipient. Bring the gift receipt and the item in the same condition required for other returns, including tags, accessories, and any category-specific packaging.
Why a refund can take longer than the policy window

Locate the missing components before starting the return. This is especially important for swimwear, fragrance, beauty products, and legwear, which have category-specific requirements. Do not remove additional packaging while waiting for an answer.
