Reset Beats Solo 4
- Find the volume-down button on the left earcup and the power button on the right earcup.
- Press and hold both buttons for 10 seconds.
- Release both when the status light flashes red and white.
Apple’s Beats reset instructions say to pair the headphones again after the reset.
Pair the headphones again
- Press and hold the Solo 4 power button. When the lights flash, the headphones are ready to pair, according to Apple’s Beats pairing guide.
- On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Bluetooth and select Beats Solo 4.
- On Android, open Settings > Connections > Bluetooth, select Beats Solo 4, and tap Pair if prompted.
If Beats Solo 4 still won’t connect
Work through these checks before repeating the reset. Apple’s wireless Beats connection guidance recommends checking power, sound settings, and distance.
- Make sure the headphones and the device are charged and turned on.
- Check that the device is sending audio to the Beats, and check the volume on both the device and headphones.
- Keep the headphones and device within 30 feet of each other. Move them away from other Bluetooth devices, microwaves, wireless routers, and other electronics.
- Forget or unpair the Beats in the device’s Bluetooth settings, then pair again. Apple recommends ensuring the paired device is up to date before unpairing and pairing again; see its unpairing guidance.
- If they still will not connect, reset the headphones using the button sequence above and pair again.
If the reset does not work
A reset does not identify why a particular pair of headphones failed to connect or respond. If the reset itself will not complete, Apple’s reset guide directs users to Apple Support for help.
