To reset the Smart Hub on a supported Samsung Smart Monitor, open Settings > All Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub, then follow the on-screen prompts. This clears Smart Hub settings, downloaded apps, and accounts; it is not established as a universal factory reset for every setting on every monitor.
Reset Smart Hub on a Samsung Smart Monitor
Samsung documents the Self Diagnosis options for 2022-and-later models. Menu wording and availability can vary by model and software version.
- Open Settings.
- Select All Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis.
- Choose Reset Smart Hub.
- Review the on-screen notice and confirm only if you are ready to clear the listed Smart Hub data.
- If prompted for a PIN, enter it and follow any remaining prompts.
Samsung lists 0000 as the default PIN. It may not work if the PIN was changed; Samsung’s cited instructions do not specify a PIN recovery method. See Samsung’s Self Diagnosis guidance for the documented route and scope.
What Reset Smart Hub removes
Samsung says this action resets Smart Hub settings, downloaded apps, and accounts. Expect to configure Smart Hub again and sign back into accounts you use. The documented effect is specific to Smart Hub; it does not establish that every picture, sound, or system setting on every Smart Monitor is reset.

Check for a software update before resetting
If an app or software issue prompted the reset, you can first check for an update at Settings > All Settings > Support > Software Update. Samsung documents updates over the internet or by USB for smart TVs and monitors. It also warns that video and audio settings might return to their defaults after an update. If Reset Smart Hub is missing
Samsung’s cited Self Diagnosis guidance covers 2022-and-later models, so an older monitor may have a different menu or may not show the option in that location. Check the support page or manual for your exact model and region; Samsung’s M5, M7, and M8 model resources are available through its product and support pages. For a broader factory reset, follow only instructions confirmed in that model’s manual rather than assuming Reset Smart Hub resets the whole monitor.
